Super near to ZhongXiao Dunhua exit, but needs to turn in from main road to see the entrance. Entrance is hidden from main road. Small hotel lobby, big comfortable room with huge bathroom. Bed is super king, can fit 4 persons. 2 big and 2 small. Comes with bathtub. Price is reasonable. Breakfast is delicious, worth it. The staff really puts in efforts to make breakfast enjoyable, with small plants on the tables every day. Can try again for next stay.

Overall, room is clean, service is good, location is strategic with direct access to public transport. Service can be improved where they initially assigned a standard room size equipped with superior double bed to us who reserved a superior double room. Unfortunately we have to stay a night in the assigned room before shifting to the intended room. Photos below are the initially assigned room where it is different from the pictures shown on Trip.com for superior double room. Overall, it is still a good hotel.

The same excellent service and hospitality as the first time I was here in the late 80s when it was still the iconic Lai Lai Sheraton. Located at Wanhua TRA station and adjacent to Hongshansi MRT station, the hotel was great but the sound proof may need to be improved. It is not due to the room I think , as the guest room next to me having party at ant 1am. The gym is quite disappointing as it has only treadmills and some cardio equipment, however quite spacious. Must try their Chinese restaurant located at 3rd floor, them them your room number for 15 percent off. Same for Starbucks and Buffet at 5th floor. The only concern is I am not sure in what condition the room will auto off the power. Which makes me feel so uncomfortable. it will not always happen but very randomly. Many good restaurants around and walking distance to a local night market street (Huaxi Night Market). Will definitely stay again.

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***. At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage. Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***… Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. 15mins walking distance to Ximending walking street, very near to a 24hrs carrefour which is just diagonal to the hotel (crossing 1 big road). Free “all you can eat” snacks for hotel guests, the kids were super happy and enjoying.

We had 6 people total so had two rooms and one room was in the newly built part of the building and the other one was in the old building. Room in the new building is much cleaner and lights are brighter. Room in old building lights are much deemer and bathroom is too old. No bottle of water, they provide water dispencer in every floor. Worst soap I ever smelled in any of the hotels. The receptionist who checked us in was very unclear with her question because we had two rooms and originally booked one family room with one king bed and 2 single beds and other room with a king bed. She asked whether 2 beds are ok and I thought she meant for the king bed as she finished with a sentence saying the king bedroom needs to be checked in later. So when we went up to the family room, I see 2 beds instead of my original request, went down to ask why and she gave me an attitude saying “didnt I ask whether 2 beds are ok” I was actually shocked with the way she approached me, did not try to clarify in a nice manner. Sorry but never going back. The photo is for the room in new building. Even if the room (new building) is clean if the service is bad, I never want to go back.

This hotel is unique. It has history, a stunning composure,overwhelming entrance and could not be missed. The balcony is huge. The hotel corridors are wide, yet the room size is not overwhelmingly big. Despite the hisotry, the hotel has been well kept . Go visit the souvenir shop on the ground level next to the reception, you will find something unusual to bring home. .
