Hotels Near Sicao Fort in Tainan

After checking in, I found that the photo looked that the number of pings was not small. The actual double room was about the size of the single room. The room I stayed in was faulty. There was a problem with the shower head. When I opened the water column, the water pressure of the shower head was insufficient. It took a long time to take a bath. The friend's room only has a dim yellow light, even returning to the room to watch TV is very difficult! The door of the hotel room is only wooden door, the room is very small, the bed is too close to the door, the sound insulation effect is equal to 0, the next door neighbor is saying everything clearly, the friend is noisy by the next room until two or three in the middle of the night to fall asleep, the next morning was attacked by the smell of smoke, It is really difficult for people to accept ⋯ When checking out, I met a small housekeeper and reported to the other party. Although the housekeeper immediately went upstairs to check if there was a smell of smoke, there was time for the early morning check-out at 11 o'clock, the room was open and the smell was long gone. In fact, we just want the hotel to apologize or tell us that we will strengthen the non-smoking label of the room space after we tell us, instead of the other way around, you didn't smell the smoke ⋯⋯ Is the taste of the morning a fantasy? The problem of the shower head failure also said that we can immediately reflect and will help change the room, but the bath time is already late at night, and no one will check all the equipment immediately. Do the guests have to drag their tired bodies before going to bed and change the room? Did the last tenant not clean the bathroom floor after checking out, so did not notice that the bathroom faucet was wrong? Moreover, there is only one or two toilet paper in the two rooms. Since it is packed in the noodle carton, it is found that there is no paper when using it. Although you can get a supplementary package downstairs, it shows that the little housekeeper is completely indifferent to the details. The password informed when you check in, When we went back, we could not use it due to machine and equipment problems. Although we arrived early to store our luggage, the housekeeper should inform us immediately if the equipment malfunctioned. We returned to rest at 4 pm for a while during the prescribed stay. There was no way to open the door. If it weren't for the cleaning staff still there, no one would help open the door. ⋯ The housekeeper called us after the check-in time to inform us that the password lock was changed. ⋯ Overall, this homestay is an unqualified accommodation experience. I will not consider returning to Tainan next time.

The hotel is on a bus route between the Tainan Railway Station and Fort Zeelandia. It occupies several floors of a building with plenty of eateries around. The room is clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. It serves a ********* breakfast buffet, including traditonal congee and buns, that may not suit the palate of some westerners. Personally,I pefer some western dishes like fried eggs and bacon. The staff is efficient and courteous in answering my enquiries about the public transport. In any event, I will consider staying in this hotel again.

An older hotel but well-maintained and updated in the heart of old downtown, convenient to public transportation, attractions and restaurants. Room is clean and quiet. Nice free breakfast. professional and courteous staff. Very satisfied.

Downtown location, 15 mins walk from the local ********* train Tainan station (not high speed one). Front desk provides a good food map, and there are a free drinking water machine and a laundry room for guests to use. Hotel seemed busy, only suggestion: front desk staff could be more welcoming and smiley. Taiwan keeps the standard high.

Very clean and there is thought in every details of the room . Strongly recommend for family. Will definitely stay here again if revisit . Very good.

When checking in 8/20, the service staff first arranged in room B03. When checking in, they found that the air conditioner had been turned on and the remote control was set to 16 degrees, but the air conditioner detection showed that the temperature in the room was 27 degrees. After half an hour of observation, they found that the air conditioner only sent out the normal temperature wind, no cold wind came out. (Photos are attached to this review to view) So the first time I responded to the service staff, I was asked to send someone to the engine room to check the repairs. Later, I waited for another 10 minutes. The second time I reflected to the service staff, the response was ”the machine room is located inside a room, the room is occupied so there is no way to overhaul the air-conditioning outdoor machine”. I asked if I could help change the room. The room staff replied ”Yes”. Then the staff began to tidy up the next room B04. When the service staff is sorting out room B04, I follow the staff into room B04 to check the condition together. The staff knows that I care if the air conditioner is normal, so turn on the air conditioner and ask if I can accept it. I am sure the cold air has started to be delivered. and agreed to change to this room. But the service staff also told me that the faucet on the bathroom sink in Room B04 was inconvenient to use because the fixer fell off. I asked if I could not accept it. I wanted to say that I had already trouble the other party to help me change the room. The faucet was a small matter, so I responded acceptable. Then the staff began to tidy up the B04 room. After about 10 minutes, I changed my room card to room B04 with my friends and colleagues. On the same night, close to 23:50, when I returned to my room, I found that the abnormal low water pressure caused the shower head to have less water and no hot water, and found that the toilet did not contain water, so I reluctantly washed the cold water with lower water pressure.

Firstly, the location was fantastic. It was conveniently close to both the Tainan bus and train stations, making travel around the city effortless. The grand lobby made for a stunning first impression, and upon entering my room, I was delighted to find spacious accommodations that rivaled those of a 5-star hotel. However, the only downside to my otherwise flawless experience was the occasional sound of ambulances from the nearby hospital, especially at night. While it didn't detract too much from my enjoyment, it's worth noting for light sleepers. Next time, I'll request a room facing away from the road to mitigate this issue. Additionally, I made use of the hotel gym during my stay, but I found it to be on the smaller side. It would be beneficial for the hotel to consider adding some dumbbells to enhance the workout experience for guests. Despite these minor drawbacks, I still highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again in the future. Overall, I'd rate my experience a solid 9 out of 10.

The hotel is super near the train station, making it of high accessibility. Meanwhile, the staff are very helpful and polite. Room is spacious and will be cleaned every day. Wonderful experience here. The shower facility is also good. The breakfast at the hotel is very fruitful too. It provides various food including Chinese, *********, Japanese, Thai and western food. In general, it’s an extraordinary experience and would be put on my list for another stay again.

Very comfortable, spacious room, complete toiletries. The hotel lobby attendant is very friendly. The location is right after the Tainan Train Station. Cross the street, go to the left, pass the Shangri-La Hotel, and keep walking straight ahead. It will take you about 15 minutes. The hotel used to be called ”Chengdu Grand Hall”, and some taxi drivers are familiar with this name. There is a coffee and breakfast shop, Kang's Beauty, 7-11, and Starbucks below the hotel. It is very convenient for shopping, eating and drinking.

Location was inconvenient especially if you do not drive. The public transport is a bit far from the hotel. Taxi service not available for short distance. We took the taxi from the hotel to Chiayi HSR which cost NT1,200. Guests stayed at the hotel only allowed one visit per stay per person. To fully enjoy all the facilities for both floors, it will take at least 3 hours. The swimming pool was closed for renovation. Breakfast selection was rather disappointing.
