The Occidental Hotel

If you like charming ole-timey hotels, this is the hotel for you! The doors require keys and the shared bathroom reminds me of a vintage hair parlor. The tv had one channel but my view was exceptional. The bar downstairs was an after work vibe. This hotel was a unique experience

very good location near bus stop,tram ,metro but downstair is pub not loud noise on 4th floor but you have to go throught drunk man and very loud noise before elevator room clean only bed but floor andcarpet got me allergy attack , share bathroom are clean but very cold very very old room , broken door knob

Avoid like plague! Absolute trash. On website shows check-in 2pm. When I got there, the door was locked and phoned the number they put there, and then was told the check-in time is 3:30pm, as if I’m trying to checkin early which is not true. I double checked on their website and here in the trip.com listing, clearly both said checkin at 2pm, I should be able to at least get inside the place and wait there. I’m very pissed that staff just lied to me. Huge red flag 1. I waited across the road at the bus stop trying to make plans to catch up with my itinerary for the rest of the day, then I saw a homeless lady (obviously with mental health issue) pulling all the locked doors to get inside. Another red flag. No way I’m gonna stay here. 姐妹狠狠避雷，酒店前台欺诈，让我3:30pm以后才能入住，同时酒店大门全是锁的。当天行程完全打乱，不得已当场订了另一家。等的时候还有吸毒的流浪汉过来想破门而入，但没成功。店旁边好像还是个流浪汉聚集的地方，地上看见好几个铺盖，安全性很有问题。多花点钱订别家吧！！！

Very very old hotel. But close to Sydney bridge and a lot of food and bars around. Hotel require renovation. Very very old.

Great location in the heart of the city, but Wi-Fi only available in the bar area which is on the ground floor. It's a bit of a hassle if you need internet in your room. No hair dryer available.

Very clean room and shared bathroom and toilet. Well maintenance even it’s old hotel, very vintage vibe, but with lift. Very great value price when the rate was crazy in the whole Sydney CBD. Staffs are friendly understanding my a little bit late check out. Thanks!
