Of course we paid extra fee to change the room but we were very satisfied stayed at Meriton...we will book there again for next our family trip to Sydney. I stayed for one night as I needed to be close to World Square. The hotel is not in World Square, which is a modern building, but across the road. The bare room had badly chipped paint on the dark wall and worn, thin, marked carpet. The air conditioning control is operated by reception, and one air-conditioning unit shared over I was told 10 rooms - you cannot adjust the air conditioning from within the room which was extremely frustrating. A large sign on the shower box asks you to use hairdryers and aerosols inside the bathroom or you may be liable for a $1600 call out fee to the NSW fire department if the fire alarm goes off. The shower leaked over the bathroom floor and the glass shower doors bang loudly which you could also hear from the next room. The staff were very pleasant. Any Accor members looking for a comfortable stay I would recommend Hotel Morris which I called in to see when passing only half a block away and newly opened.

Loved Room 504. Spacious,for an inner-city hotel. Loved the lights,and how the floor light comes on when you step into the bathroom! Beautiful bathroom. Refillable toiletries. Loved the the little seat/table at the foot of the bed and the lovely mantelpiece. Love how no plastic bags are used in the wastepaper baskets. Thank you for the upgrade,bottle of wine for our anniversary and the late check-out (2.00pm!) Most generous! Delicious dinner and breakfast in Bar Morris - what a gorgeous space! Impeccable service from the wait staff - friendly and professional. A perfect staycation!

Having been at a conference over the normal meal hour, and needing to travel by train next morning, the location was ideal. I was able to relax and enjoy later meal. The room was easy to find and toilet/personal products provided of a high quality. It is unfortunate that, as is customary, single customers are required to pay the same as couples. I’m sure that it would be advantageous to have a room occupied by one person than to have it empty.

Hotel building is old but well maintained and room is kept clean. I got a room facing the road and the windows works well enough to keep out the road noise - but I still had to put on my noise-cancelling earbuds to fall asleep. Recommend you to try and ask for room facing inwards.

Customer service is what makes this hotel, very grateful to check in staff who came outside to our car to help a country family stressed by Sydney traffic to help us settle in. We stayed in a family room with separate king bedroom, oodles of room. Buffet breakfast was delicious, and parking across the road for $35, which is reasonable for Sydney!!

Stayed for a quick, one night getaway. Hotel has been recently upgraded to a stylish, comfortable standard. We booked a king room, which was clean, quiet and had everything needed for a short stay. The bed was extremely comfortable with high grade linens. The bathroom, while compact, was renovated to a high standard. The shower pressure was good and the provided toiletries were good quality. The front desk staff are such lovely people, who went out of their way to make sure everything was ok, and tell us about the renovations. They are obviously proud of their establishment. This hotel is right next door to the Capitol Theatre and a short 5 minute walk from Central Station. The Light Rail stop is a 1 minute walk from the front door. We will quite happily stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel when it was under another banner and thought it was ok then. We decided to book the Comfy King this time, as the room we stayed in last time was very small. We found the comfy king a lot better and we had plenty of room. Seriously, the room is just to change and sleep in not to party. Under the Covid rules, It is not serviced daily, but if you need anything, you just ask at reception and they will help you out. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean. And this hotel is 100m from Central Station, so transport was never a problem. We would definately stay here again.

I've stay there quite a long time during the 2021 year and I was feeling like I was at home. The number of guest was very low because of the Covid. The staff is nice and the small size of the hotel makes it feels as a second home. I've got good memories from this place

I chose this place to save on accommodation costs, but I had a more comfortable stay than I thought. I'm just thankful that this is the price for the murderous Sydney waterfront. Hot drinking water comes right out of the common kitchen, so it's good to eat cup ramen, and I thought it would be embarrassing to be alone, but that wasn't the case. You can hear a little noise from the next room at night, but it wasn't bad enough to sleep. Above all, the staff were so kind that I felt comforted from coming from far away. I think it will be much more fun if you come with friends. Have a good rest~
