Firstly the positive points of our stay: -The hotel is in a good location close to public transport -Reception staff were friendly -The layout of the room was good with lots of storage for the size Unfortunately our stay was heavily tainted by a couple of issues with the room which were that the air conditioning was not working for our entire multiweek stay and even though we told staff multiple times from early in our stay that it was not working and we were told we were wrong or that it had been resolved when it definitely had not. Additionally the room needed a better clean, it was surface clean but the carpet was still dirty (walking around in socks it'll turn your socks dirty colour) and shower wasn't cleaned. The bathroom door was very hard to open as the rollers must not be hung properly.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time. Because I liked it, I ordered a third order, which is quiet and comfortable, and makes people enjoy life especially! Very close to UNSW, just a few minutes walk.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our visit to Sydney for the NYE celebrations. Hotel is very easy to access with the L2 light rail directly opposite the hotel taking you right in to the CBD. But because it’s a bit further out in Randwick, the price is much more affordable, especially on NYE! Even on NYE we had not trouble getting in and out of the CBD and was very easy. Also not far from the airport so an Uber was pretty cheap for a flight home. Our room was the first one as you enter the hotel. There is no soundproofing, so we heard everyone coming and going and conversations in reception. We could also hear the toilet being flushed above and even the pedestrian crossing beep outside. Therefore, I would definitely request a room at the rear. Apart from the noise, everything else was good. The room was spacious for 3 adults, with comfy beds and decent shower. Tea/coffee and fridge, iron and hairdryer in room. Large TV and good WiFi. There’s a communal kitchen with laundry facilities if you need it and a lovely courtyard area for chilling out. We had a daily room service and towels changed each day. Location is good with plenty of choice for eating locally and 15-20 min walk to Coogee beach. I actually walked from the hotel to Coogee and then on the coastal path to Bondi and back, which was excellent. We would stay again, but not in the same room due to the noise.

Just what I needed to end my most recent trip to Sydney. I always love staying close to the Coastal Walk, and this hotel's location did not disappoint. You are literally footsteps from Coogee Beach and access to the Coastal Walk to Bondi. The room was good, and I appreciated the kitchenette. Bathroom was not the nicest I've had at a hotel, but suited my needs. Highlight, other than location, may have been the rooftop lounge area. It was a great place to sit and enjoy breakfast. I was concerned about noise from nearby pubs, which I could hear, but didn't bother me as much as I expected. Overall, great value given room and location.

I've stayed in this hostel 3 times now, and it has been a pleasure each time. The staff are friendly - even the manager takes the time to get to know the guests. Plenty of bathrooms available and the kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of social space, too, with a living room downstairs and a large covered balcony upstairs. Bedrooms are good - there are clothing rails to hang your clothes which is a bonus! I stayed in the 4 bed female room. Laundry costs are on a par with every other hostel at $4 but, unlike other hostels, there are washing lines available instead of having to pay for the dryer. A lot of people staying here are long term whilst working, which is always a good sign. Calm relaxed atmosphere - even at the weekend. I would (and do) recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Sydney. If I find myself in Sydney again this will be the first place I look for a room. Thanks for a great stay, Coogee Beach House.

Stayed at the Crowne recently for a couple of conferences and is what I have come to expect from Crowne Hotels. The first time was a corner room on 6 that had been fully renovated. Room was big and spacious, bed was comfortable as and the bathroom was small but modern. Second stay was a normal room on 4 that had not been refreshed. Bathroom was a little dated and shower head wasn’t the best. But again the room was a good size and the bed comfortable! On-site breakfast was a full buffet and gave a full range and fresh coffee! Would stay again.
