Hotels Near City Church Swansea in Swansea

I arrived early and they allowed me to check-in my room 2 hours earlier. It's a kind gesture that helped me a lot. It's located 5 minutes walk away from the city center where the banks and big shops are located.

Morgans Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are amazing, & nothing is too.much trouble for them. Our room was large, well - appointed & had a very comfortable super king - sized bed. Breakfasts are freshly cooked to order, & the range of food available for evening meals is of excellent quality. Parking is directly opposite the hotel, is secure, & has 2 EV charge points. As a base for exploring Swansea & the Gower Peninsula, Morgans Hotel is a delight & well worth a visit.

Having paid £109 for the room and an additional £5 for parking I was expecting something a bit better than what we got. The staff on reception were lovely and very friendly, but the room was a bit tired and cold. We stayed in room 401, which was an end room on the 4th floor, which on first inspection seemed very nice. However, it soon became apparent that the air conditioning unit didn’t work, the windows were both broken so they couldn’t be opened and were leaking, the one radiator in the room was rusty and ineffective and there was signs of damp on the ceiling. I think for the price of the room these issues should have been fixed before we arrived. Had the price been lower I wouldn’t have minded but if you’re charging more than other places I think the standard should be higher.

The morning in the UK really can't stand it. There are too many meats and the cakes are sweet. The only thing that interests me is that the coffee there is really delicious and tastes pure. In general, the Chinese stomach can't stand the British ingredients. There is also a long interval between buses, which is really inconvenient. Perhaps the flow in the small area of Swansea is not large, so the starting distance is long, but the car is in excellent condition.

The host informed us that pay and display parking was available about 50 meters from the entrance of the Boathouse. We found the lot, and was lucky to get the very last spot. We then walked up and down the street to look for the pay station, but found none. Calling the host, he simply informed us that there had been ”a recent change” to NOT charge for parking in that area. He had not bothered to correctly inform us, but did not even apologize. At all other times we passed that parking place it was completely full. Be warned that you will most likely have to travel further along this very busy road to find a spot. You may also have to pay. Our room was spacious and clean and had a nice view of the bay area. The bed was comfortable, although the arrangement with a very large painting stretching all the way down to pillow level stopped us from sitting in bed reading and watching TV. An impractical arrangement. Better reading light would have been nice. There was a small fridge, and yogurt and other stuff for a continental breakfast were loaded there. Not a full English breakfast, but an adequate start of the day. We wondered about the clunky glass bedside tables in glass, and discovered that both were damaged and had therefore been turned with their backs out. It hides the damage, but eliminates the shelf space. How about getting new tables with shelves in wood? The bathroom was unusually spacious and offered both a bath tub and a shower cabin. The password protected WiFi worked fine. There was no elevator. There was no in-room safe.

Second visit in recent weeks. On both occasions we were impressed by the customer service provided by John at the front desk. Check-in was so efficient and friendly. I think I probably had the keys to my room and my car provided with free parking within about a minute or two of arriving. Really great after a long drive and you just want to get into your room and relax. Thanks to John for making our stay so hassle free and making it a pleasure to visit this Travelodge.

Standard Holiday Inn Quality just off of the M4 North of Swansea. The rooms are spacious, and well-equipped. The sleep quality is good (surprisingly actually, my room was adjacent to the car-park, and the hotel is under half a mile from the M4). I opted against breakfast, but did utilise the bar which is reasonable. Cannot complain for the price or the location.
