The location of this lodge is stunning with sweeping views across the desert to the mountains beyond. Ostrich, Oryx and Springbok come down to the water hole below the lodge and mountain zebra can be seen from the extensive trails across the ranch. The restaurant offers a wide selection of meals, all freshly cooked, which can be served outside by candlelight under the African night skies. Undoubtedly, the best pool area that we enjoyed on our trip. The staff are super friendly, helpful and can provide great information about the wildlife and the landscape. We would recommend the sunset drive, superb.

Our small tour group stopped at this lodge for lunch. The lodge is in the middle of nowhere. It is very unique architecture and environmentally aware facility. Everyone loved their lunches. I had the Sirloin of Springbok with chips (French Fries ). The portions were huge - just like all the other lunches. It was my first time having Springbok and it was memorable. The meat, medium rare, was extremely tender, juicy, and tasty. I, in all my 75 years, have never had such a memorable lunch experience. The service was friendly and efficient. The restroom was clean. We all enjoyed our time there.

we used this lodge as a stop halfway in between Sossousvlei and Swakopmund. It was a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed the beautiful and shaded pool area, the stunning views and the fantastic food. All the personnel and the owners were very friendly and helpful, happy to provide recommendations. We definitely recommend to eat dinner outside on the beautiful terrace with gorgeous desert views. The waiters will bring candles to make you as comfortable as possible. You can dine under the stars and enjoy the most delicious Oryx and Springbok steaks. Don't forget to look for the mountain zebras that are roaming freely around the lodge (there was even a cute baby hanging around).

Upon arrival. we were greeted warmly by a friendly young man. Unfortunately it was very windy which precluded using the pool but the sunset and views were gorgeous. Basically no WiFi - you might get lucky if WhatsApp messages get through. An opportunity to disconnect and soak in the surroundings!

This is a bit of a hidden gem. It's located somewhat off the beaten track and makes a great stopping point if you are travelling north from Soussusvlei. The accommodation is not flashy and a little unusual looking, but they have built it to blend in well with its surroundings. It's comfortable enough. The food is great here, particularly if you take the a la carte option. The pool area was the nicest we saw at any of the lodges we stayed at in Namibia. The terrace area gives wonderful views, particularly at sunset. You are a 20 minute walk away from being in the desert, sharing your space with oryx and zebras and the glorious landscapes that make this area so special. The staff here are all wonderful, and I would like to highlight how welcome Travis made us feel and how helpful and friendly he was throughout our stay. It was also extremely good value compared to most of the other places on our route. Thanks to the Rostock Ritz for helping to make our Namibia trip so great!

This was one of our favourite lodges. The location is absolutely stunning being quite a drive from the road. The rooms look like Hobbit dwellings - stone igloos, yet they are completely practical with locking wardrobes, solar panels to heat water in the shower, and your own private balcony with tremendous views. There’s no aircon but there is a fan. Depending on the time of year you develop a system of opening and closing the windows, to keep hot air in or out. Mosquito nets were provided but we weren’t bitten. We loved the rooms. There’s a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds. For dinner there is an Al a Cart menu. At lunchtime other guests turn up for meals. We stayed 2 nights which gave us time to try a couple of the marked self guided walks. We had a great experience of watching a family of zebra for an hour. There were also oryx and Guinea fowl. You can watch the sunset on the patio, of the restaurant, with a drink just before dinner. Food was good and tasty.

We stayed at this hotel as a stop between Sossusvlei and Swakopmund, it’s about in the middle. We stayed just one night and were not great fans of the hotel. The WiFi was not working and the electricity plugs in the room just the 3-pins, not suited for international plugs or even USB as you see often. The dinner was okay. Nice walks can be done around the hotel, which we enjoyed to see the sundown.

Beautiful setting with unusual but very comfortable accommodations in circular rondavel buildings. Lovely swimming pool, large patio for dining outdoors and enjoying the spectacular sunsets. Most important, wonderful warm and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

We first came in 2006 with the previous owner and founder of the lodge. This time (August 2022) we (this is my wife and our two 23 and 22 y old kids) spent 3 nights and loved the experience. Sometimes you are disappointed when returning somewhere. Not here. The place is a few hours drive from Windhoek on the way to Sossusvlei making it a possible excellent first stage if you arrive as we did at midday, since driving by night is a bad idea (unless you are not afraid of running into kudus, zebras and springboks that crosses the gravel road at any time). The place is just awesome, beautifull desert with amazing mountains in the midst of nowhere. Two nights is a minimum to enjoy the place (beautifull trails though not always well marked...), excellent food, nice helpfull and smiling staff. We spent 3 nights and shall come back without hesitation when back in Namibia. The only weak point is that the new owners need to spend a little time to make sure that the 5 trails can be safely walked (2 were out of service for reasons we did not understand; another was poorly marked and few tourists didn't find the loop as we didn't either. Otherwise just paradise.
