Find the Cheap Swakopmund Hotels

We spent 2 nights in Swakopmund & chose to stay at the this hotel because we felt it offered a good balance of price, location & quality. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and felt the hotel met all of these expectations. The rooms are clean, modern, light & airy and the bed one of the most comfortable we slept in during our trip. The bathroom is open to the rest of the room which didn't bother us being a married couple, but for people sharing a room as friends, it is just something to bear in mind. Swakopmund was surprisingly chilly during August being winter especially at night (it reminds us of a British summer lol!), so we were pleased to find that the AC can be used to heat the room as well, which came in handy in the evenings & early mornings. In terms of location, the hotel is great as there is parking outside with security to keep an eye on your car, the lighthouse & museum across the road and you are just a couple of mins walk in the other direction to the shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a great bar next door, one side of the hotel and a lovely Italian restaurant / pizzeria on the other side, so it was a good spot for dining too! The included breakfast was also great with a selection of toasts, fruits, cakes, juices etc as well as the option for cooked eggs, full English etc. The staff were all lovely & very helpful and we would gladly stay again & recommend the place to others!

The hotel environment is very good. Both the owner, mother and daughter are particularly enthusiastic

The hotel was fine for a couple of nights. The rooms were lovely and modern (although we were given a view of a wall which was a shame!) . The pool is freezing so not useable in the winter months. The interior of the hotel (lobby and hallways) are a little run down and could do with updating. The lounge/bar is relaxing with the fire and TV. Breakfast had a large variety of options but the heaters to keep food warm (like beans, hashbrowns etc) were luke warm at best so the food was generally pretty cold. The hotel is set about a 15 mins walk from the water front where the restaurants are so you will need to use a taxi after dark.

We had a conference here for a week and the service was not at all great and what we expected. There was constantly an absence of staff when we needed to make queries for anything. The lunch that was served was really 1/5, I was expecting more. The conference area is well equipped and the ventilation was great. Perhaps I will visit the Boutique on a personal capacity to see if the experience will be different. I am sure it will be.

Our tour group spent two nights here and it was wonderful. A very spacious room - well we had a double room actually. Plenty of room in the mini bar fridge for our own drinks, lots of kitchen facilities and laundry service available for a few extra $. We had heaps of cupboards, a table on the balcony and the rooms even had specific towels to clean our dusty shoes. Plus the rooms were cleaned daily! Wifi was great in the rooms too. Amoria was a very welcoming and informative host. Nothing was too much for her!! We enjoyed the breakfast spread both mornings - especially the personailsied hot meals. Friendly pets to pat too.

The Delight Swakopmund is like a modern hotel on the German North and Baltic Sea. Maritime, but also Namibian accessories are pleasantly and quietly mixed. Very nice, competent English staff at/in reception, restaurant/bar and housekeeping. Nice detail was the evening distribution of hot bottles before a colder night. Breakfast buffet and bar were well-sorted .The room (family room) was very spacious and completely equipped. All worked and was clean. All in All to be recommanded again and again at any time.
