Sunny Day Club Hotel

Just home from a week at sunny day club. I was a bit optimistic after some of the reviews but I needn’t have worried! We were greeted by a very cheery receptionist who escorted us straight into our room(she stayed cheery all week). We obviously had to go to the bar to sample the beer (approx £1 a pint), and got chatting to other folk staying there, some have stayed numerous times and others said they would return after this visit. Pool is lovely and big, a few slides going into it for kids, separated younger kids pool and of course seats in the pool for the big kids.. Plenty sun loungers but it was only the 2nd week in June so not our school holidays yet, maybe quieter, lots of outdoor and indoor seating and a shaded vineyard seating area, very pretty. In the morning we had breakfast, we found something to eat daily; boiled, scrambled, fried eggs(though the lady takes about 15 mins to cook them on the show cooking bit out front), bacon of sorts, smoked sausage, beans, toasts, jams, cereals, fruits, cheeses and hams, salad, just the usual but well replenished and hot. Cuppys, juice and water supplied but sometimes a queue when someone’s filling their 2ltr bottle! The rooms were cleaned daily including clean towels. I had taken a kettle and 2 mugs and they were cleaned too! The outdoor area including under sun beds to out on the street were swept and mopped from 0730, sun loungers wiped down etc, even had 8 cleaners in a row on their hands and knees scrubbing the inside wall of the pool! The staff were very attentive, all of them, they work very hard and for all the reasons stated above, we will definitely be returning! Met some lovely people and just had a great time! So glad I booked and didn’t let the reviews put me off!

Dissapointing I didn't use the hotel but used the bistro/bar on a number of occasions. Initially the food was good, great service from a lovely lady and good prices. Towards the end of my stay it was impossible to order from the menu. They were closing for the season and running the stock down. Last night little was left to order.

A beautiful hotel, with friendly staff Very modern apartments with comfortable beds and pillows And kitchen adequate for self catering but could with an oven. The Biggest let down is WIFI Which is absolutely CRAP!!° but management are not bothered These days when you go on holiday especially with children you need to keep then occupied and also yourselves When the weather is poor and you're stuck in your room! You do not want 50 Spanish TV CHANNELS I WILL NOT STOP HERE AGAIN! FOR A SIMPLE THING LIKE POOR WIFI. such a shame as it's a beautiful hotel thank you alan

Do not book this hotel the rooms are well dated and thee staff apart from 1 are so rude especially the man behind desk at reception. Cleaners don't speak any English they rude too in fact most of the people from Bulgaria are rude.wont be back to bulgarie

The beds are the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. Pool area is an absolute nightmare beds far to close together can barely walk round pool to get to our block breakfast absolutely disgusting raw bacon cold eggs just honestly horrible staff with the exception of the chamber maids are not nice at all no Matter how many times I said good morning or good evening they never once smiled or said hello. Used the restaurant once and got raw chicken when I sent it back I never even got a sorry plate was just taken and re cooked. Rooms dated but ok no pillows only cushions and carpet in rooms. No kettle had to pay for that. Staff definitely need training on customer service on speaking to other guests they said the same but said they are only pleasant when you are spending your money in hotel. No safe in room.
