Recently stayed here, I think the hotel not having a Facebook group really is an indicator of how it is because I’m sure if I had read comments on there I’d have not booked. Food was hit and miss .. it was passable just until day 3 when I saw files on the scrambled egg … signs everywhere saying do not take photos of food or video. There was rabbit on offer plus other stews. The staff didn’t give off a friendly vibe and the smell at reception from a nearby toilet was awful. Swimming pool too small for hotel capacity and sun beds too close and I felt claustrophobic. Hotels built on each inch of land. Noisy at night too. On reflection sunny beach was like Blackpool on steroids … sex shops, and shops selling lots of knuckle dusters, knives etc. regretted letting my kids chose a fridge magnet in a gift shop as they weren’t age appropriate. We visited nessebar and it was so different and beautiful. On reflection I wish we had booked to stay there. It had a whole different ambience. the buildings etc and cobbled streets had so much character. I guess for a drinking cheap holiday it’s ok as a base camp. For myself with children i wouldn’t recommend and I should have booked elsewhere. Bulgarian night, Khans tent, lazy boat cruise, vip catamaran trip and bus trips to Nessebar whilst eating out salvaged this holiday from What could have been a disaster as I just wanted to be away from the meridian. Smartline Meridian was fantastic. Location, facilities, food, The staff were brilliant. We could not fault the hotel. It might be everyone's cup of tea but we got plenty of value for money. We stayed 2 weeks all inclusive. Food was brilliant, all cooked fresh and plenty of gluten free options for our son with loads of options and variety each day. Weather was sublime. Staff were all helpful and friendly, especially Kostja and Davide the entertainers. They provided daily fun and there was good laughs in the evening. Beach was only 5 mins walk, flower street about 15 mins walk.

The location of the hotel was just a short walk to the beach which was stunning and also within walking distance to local bars and restaurants which usually had entertainment in the evening. The rooms are spacious. However, the bathroom needs updating. It's tiny and didn't look particularly clean despite housekeeping coming in daily. It may have something to do with the bathroom and the toilets within the hotel being decorated in dark brown tiles. The food in the restaurant wasn't the best but there was usually something for everybody. There are two bars, one for all inclusive guests and the other which accepted cash/card for half board guests etc. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds but then again it was September. Majority of staff were very friendly but there were a few in the restaurant who acted as though they didn't want to be there, were quite rude and/or ignorant. When I advised there were no cups for coffee etc at breakfast I got a shrug of the shoulders and an eye roll. Overall, we had a good time but did go out to eat a few times instead of eating in the restaurant.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEl !! The hotel is dated, dirty and staff very ignorant & rude. The rooms are not cleaned properly beds only changed once in 11 days. Bathroom had a horrible smell. The food is disgusting!! Barely warm congealed food sat for hours. Waiters very unfriendly snatch plates away before you have finished. We went all inclusive which was a joke as downstairs restaurant shut after a couple of days. Long bar in not all inclusive the only place to get a drink was the 11fh floor restaurant but only when they were open and in plastic cups. Sunbeds dirty and pool freezing. Had to pay for gym 15 lev for a bike and weight bench in a tiny room. I felt sorry for Jet 2 rep as everyone was complaining. Avoid this hotel

The resturant at Meridian hotel had excellent choice of food every night room was clean and on my husband birthday Meridian hotel reserved a table at the hotel resturant with champagne and a cake with a sparkler in it The staff at reception and restaurant bar were very nice and friendly

The hotel beds are all single bed which are joined into double bed and they fall apart when sleeping, both the bed frame and mattress move. We had two single duvets also which were very small. The air con isn’t strong at all it makes a noise but doesn’t change the temperature. Our bathroom was leaking from the shower , toilet and sink. Housekeeping were not good either, they don’t make the beds. They change the towels and give toilet roll. There was no entertainment in the evening although it was advertised. This should not be a 4 star hotel.

We had a brilliant time at this hotel! There was plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The views from the 11th floor restaurant were magnificent. The staff were also great, the twin girls in the restaurant were hilarious! It was my wife’s birthday during our stay and they gave us an unforgettable evening surprise with bubbles, a cake with a spectacular candle! We were in a nice area away from the hustle and bustle of the main ***** and opposite a great bar (garden) which had a fab in house band and tribute acts…abba and Freddie Mercury! The staff there were great too and couldn’t do enough for us. There is lots to do close by (5 mins walk from Kiki beach) and a bus stop to the beautiful town of Nesebar. Would highly recommended this hotel and area.

Extremely rude staff. all inclusive drinks and food were very poor. No room clean within the week I was there. Restaurant manager arrogant. Entertainment team were diabolical. I have been here previously and had a great time. After this experience I will never go back to this hotel

This is definitely NOT a 4star hotel it would struggle to be 3star. Rooms cleaning was bed made a clean towels if you could call them towels I've used better for floor clothes. The floors were dirty and thick dust under bed we know that because I had lost something and had to move bed. Never saw a table wiped in dining room and having to use paper cups for tea etc no way in a 4star. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone
