The hotel was very family friendly, our whole family enjoyed their stay. The staff was very helpful, even when we got into a difficult situation, the hotel went out of its way to accommodate us. If we have the chance, we will definitely come back here.

Came here with a friend in May and knew my husband would love it so we came back, What a lovely surprise when we had a hand written note in our room saying thanks for returning, also a bottle of wine and Bulgarian chocolates!!! Such a lovely touch and our room was massive so i think we probs had free room upgrade as well! Food awesome! Something for everyone and anyone that moans about it i have one question that being "What would you like to eat"? The drinks are amazing, the staff are amazing and the "snack" bar by the pools is also amazing! Thanks so much to all of you lovely staff at Melia and you can be sure we will be back again.

Absolutely one of the best vacations I have ever had. The food was absolutely amazing. The flavor just burst in your mouth. How does anyone make potatoes taste that good? All inclusive means all inclusive. Two weeks at Melia and I never used my credit card. The drinks were very good and not skimpy on the alcohol. Since I was with a German group and do not speak German, I was given access to a personal assistant who translated for me and saw that I had an English speaking taxi driver to take me to the train station. At the train station this taxi driver, went into the train station with me, bought me a large bottle of mineral water for the train ride (refused to let me reimburse him) and even waited until I got on the correct train. My first day at Melia, I arrived late, after the dining rooms were closed and was invited to an area where I could make myself a sandwich and salad and get something to drink. I checked out at noon, was it was a couple of hours until I left for the train station. I was invited to still eat lunch at the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, there is never a dirty table. They are bussed within seconds of people leaving. I never had to wait for a table. Again, the food was spectacular. The place was spotless. The employees were some of the hardest working people I have ever seen. They were all so pleasant and helpful. I felt like royalty. My room had a balcony and faced the Black Sea. What else can I say? Finally, Bulgaria is the "Chick-A-Filet" country of the world. Every person I met, was pleasant, helpful and went out of their way to make sure everything was not just good, but great. I rarely even touched my luggage as, even on the train, the men handled my luggage, and put it on the overhead area for me, as well as taking it down at the end of the train ride. There was a group of young people traveling and saw that I was a solo traveler. When the train arrived in Sofia, they asked if I needed any help and saw that I was safely in a good "Yellow" taxi. At 11 pm I arrived at the Sofia Airport for a very early morning flight. I was dropped off at the wrong terminal. The young man behind the counter, took my luggage and walked with me, a distance outside to the shuttle area to take me to the correct terminal. Then he waited until the shuttle arrived and I was safely on it, even though there were security officers there. There are too many examples like the ones I listed, to list here. The cost of everything was very inexpensive compared to the United States. I will go back every year and have told many friends about this wonderful experience. I just can't say enough good about Melia Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, and Mathias, who helped me at Melia.

We visited the hotel in June 2024 and were so impressed with the food hotel, staff and room we decided to return in September. We booked for seven days from the 23rd September which was near to the hotels season in ending. The hotel wasn't as busy as in June with most of the hotels restaurants closed which caused a slight problem when trying to find a seat in the restaurant that was open. Lots of tables were set out for six or four persons but none for two. Lots of couples sat at the tables for six which created a problem. The food at the restaurant was of a high standard and plentiful. Lots of variety fish, mussels, prawns and various meats. Q great variety of salads. You can help yourself to wines which were acceptable. The young members of staff work exceptionally hard in the restaurant. I found all the staff pleasant and not rude as described in other reviews. The pool area is spotless with lots of sunbeds. Lots of quests appear to want sunbeds next to the pool area. We opted for a sun trap were we got the sun all day. The pool bar and eating area was excellent. The chef Ben's ribs are unbelievable and very tasty. Again works very hard but always has time to chat Our room 8302 on the 8th floor. The room was amazing with a huge double bed and a separate bedroom with a smaller double. The balcony was a wrap around which over looked the pool, sea and hills. We sat on the balcony at night and watched the entertainment. I found the hotel to be great value. We will be visiting again for the third time next year. Another nice gesture was a bottle of wine and chocolates in the room on our arrival. Our holiday was made special by Peter (hotel foyer) who was full of information, chef Ben and Gilcan in the foyer bar and all the restaurant and entertainment team. Thanks for a great week. See you next year.

Good Things: Location is great nr everything you need. Very Clean, staff always picking up after people. Rooms always clean & Tidy. Staff were alway polite & Helpful. Peter (Customer Service manager) was always walking around making sure guests were happy. He is a great credit to this hotel!! I saw another male who I was told was high up in the management, who walked around with his head down, not wanting any contact with guests or staff! Food was good, I loved Breakfast. You could always get something up to 10pm…. Shame about some guests who kept leaving food around for seagulls to get…. Not just once, at least 2 days in a row!! Drinks are ok, the usual All Inclusive spirits that leave a taste in your throat. Help yourself beer was very gassy, they did have Becks but hardly ever was replaced when ran out (Nr German Snack Bar). The only problem I can point out was that the No Smoking areas were not enforced by any of the staff. Which caused conflicts! Reading previous posts I don’t know why they picked a large hotel which is family friendly? Whilst here the last 2 weeks in September, everything started shutting in the resort, the last week bars that were left open, where offering deals as they wanted to get rid of their beer etc You need to visit Old Nesebar

My and my friends booked this hotel for a surprise 50th. After reading some of the review we were debating whether to book but went ahead with booking Melia. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, we found some of the staff lovely and welcoming. Others may not have been over friendly they still greeted us with a smile, we didn’t feel that staff were rude, there was just a language barrier which was understandable. The room was fantastic, clean and the view was ideal, it was perfect for what we wanted for our holiday, the staff were constantly cleaning and working really hard. We felt we had a lot of food choice each day and the food was enjoyable. It was the end of season so we can’t comment on the entertainment but the hotel is a 5 minute walk to bars, restaurants and the market. I plan to return to Melia hotel with my husband and daughter as I feel it would be the perfect holiday in season. A special thanks to Mattis and Peter for making the holiday as amazing as it was. We all had the best time. Thank you!

Although the hotel offers everything you might need in terms of choice of food and drink, it lacks atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend going middle to late September as they close some of the bars and restaurants. We found the restaurant to be manic (no matter what time of day you went), really difficult to get a table, not a nice dining experience. Added to that how greedy some people are and the amount of wasted food. The best meal we had was the Indian restaurant as the main restaurant food, although varied and plentiful was rather bland. Unfortunately, we only went there on the last day it was open, which was a shame. Consequently, we ate out most days so I'm guessing All Inclusive is not for us. Our room was in block B with a partial sea view but that meant we backed onto the fun fair and you could hear the noise up until 3.30am (I had to play white noise on phone to drown it out). Although the cleaners changed towels every day, they never once made bed, which I thought odd but not a problem to do it myself. Re the staff, all of the cleaners were pleasant and greeted you if passed in corridor; one particular young lady who checked us in was cheerful and helpful; the lady who checked us out, not so much. The lad with beard who serves the burgers etc at snack bar by pool was wonderful, a real asset. We wouldn't recommend Sunny Beach as a resort (way too tacky), however, Nessebar is lovely, we went there most days, only 2 lev on bus.

Spent 2 weeks in September room was very spacious overlooking the pools. Entertainment wasn't the best mostly for children which there were quite a lot of .the dining rooms were a nightmare so busytoo many people coming in there as there was 3 buildings only 2 dining rooms open.never had that were you cannot find a empty table to sit down .very noisy people going all ways around food countersand noisy chairs constantly screeching along floor .we ended up going out for food as noise stress at meal times was unbearable trying to find seat. Which is not purpose when you go all inclusive. Why trying to cram so many people in to 2 dining rooms whywas 3rd shut that was not acceptable the first 4 days it wasn't like that something changed I thing they closed the 3rd dining room.that was an experience I never want to have to go through ever .meal times should be nice on holiday not stressful never seen anything like it in my life .I paid a lot money for my holiday worked hard for it .it was shame as the hotel itself was a nice hotel but I definitely wouldn't go back there . Why didn't management do something about the dining rooms far too many people going through such shame you don't put customers first. We got told there was a convension in other dining room that why it was closed .really not putting guests first.is that why so many going through the other 2 dining rooms coffee machine in hall ways and around hotel were amazing so good to pop out room to get coffee . Just certain important things let hotel down . I also agree with sunbeds are far too close too each other felt like sardine s in a tin and some of them were quite dirty very low down and very uncomfortable probably the worst I ever got on . So although there were really good things about hotel I think the bad things were too much and which affected our holiday greatly
