Premier Inn Stratford-Upon-Avon Waterways

Stayed here as part of trip to the theatre. The hotel is a gentle 15-20 minutes stroll from the RSC which was perfect. I stayed on the top floor which has just been refurbished into be Premier Plus rooms and my room was fab. The room layout and design worked for me, a great bed, a good room temp (I like it cooler than most places insist on having) and being able to do a spot of work in the early hours . Special call out for the young man on Reception (sadly I have forgotten his name) who was a brilliant example of great customer service, looking after my case when there weren't rooms available to check in early, and being accurate with the time suggested to return to check in. I'd certainly consider staying here again
The Old Coffee Tavern

Stayed here for 1 night - 30th December as a couple. The Old Coffee Tavern is very central and a short walk from the castle. It's a middle-sized pub, with an open kitchen in the back that looks a bit odd and a slightly cramped bar but is clean and not too rowdy. We took a twin room right at the top with a shower room. It was nice, with a view over the town, and was clean and tidy with nice decor and all the bits and pieces you'd expect. If I were to be picky, I'd say the mini bar was both a bit noisy and also a bit superfluous, perched on a table as it was. The beds were clean and comfy and there was adequate storage. Breakfast in the morning came with attentive service, plenty of tea and coffee, and lots of choices. It was pretty good. All in all, then, this was a very nice place to stay in the heart of Warwick.

I arrived at around 11:30am on the day of check in to see if I could check in early, which is advertised as being from 11am, if available. I was told ”you're a bit early” 😂 I was advised the rooms weren't ready, which was fine as I am aware it's not always possible, but that made me chuckle and my bags were kindly taken from me to pick up later. Check in was smooth, the rooms were perfect, clean a a good temperature in the room, couldn't have been better. Breakfast was just ok, I think the fact it's only a small restaurant doesn't help them, as it looks busier than it actually is, I have to say some cooked items were not available and took a while to be replenished, which isn't up to standard with other premier inns. Dinner - the food is great, I can't fault it and much better than other premier inn's I have stayed out, however the service is a let down. We were left waiting a long time between courses, and the first night when I didn't get the meal deal I was waiting 20 mins for the bill to come, I just got up and waited by the till to pay myself as I was being ignored. I think they should operate an order and pay at the bar system like other premier inns, they don't have enough staff for an effective table service. The location is good, plenty of parking and a 10 minute bus ride into town. I would recommend staying here and would advise, don't attempt an early check in, buy the meal deal in advance so you're not left waiting for the bill and be prepared to wait a long time between courses at dinner.

This place was not good at all when we arrived we were met by the manager who was very abrubt bordering on rude - the room seemed ok but the shower tray was very slippery and the door to the shower would not close - no sanitary bin in the bathroom - the mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever tried - the cleanliness left a lot to be desired especially the stairs which were very dirty with extremely worn carpets with a lot of large holes,If you have mobility issues the stairs are very steep. We booked 2 double rooms they had no single rooms my son was in 1 double room on his own but we were charged double room rate which INCLUDED the price of 2 breakfasts - when I asked for the second breakfast which we had paid for to be put in a take away bag it was refused . We stayed for an evening meal which was ok as long as you don't mind your food being overcooked and you like rock hard onion bajies. It was a totally abysmal experience - we had just been to a funeral and the way we were treated really did not help. Lastly if you want a quiet evening meal please dont go when the Cheltenhan races are on - The irish people that came for a meal were sooooo loud.

Very characteristic log cabin, the room is not big, but the layout is compact, and there is a kitchenette with a stove. The sanitation inside the house is good, but it is best to clean the wooden seats outside. The mattress is too soft, and the sofa for the baby to sleep on is also very small. The curtains are thin and easy to wake up early in the morning. The surrounding scenery is good, you can stroll around at will. Catering should be featured, but we didn't have the chance to taste it. The child said he liked it very much.

Booked a one night stay on the basis of price & previous reviews and was certainly not disappointed !!.Bill is a fantastic host, very helpful and you feel that nothing is too much trouble. I was shown to a lovely spacious room with a great bathroom. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the Full English was delicious. Bill offers plentiful tea/coffee re fills along with toast, preserves etc so breakfast really sets you up for the day. His place is truly a 'home from home' and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Moss Cottage to anyone visiting the area.
