Very nice hotel. Conveniently located to all Stone Town attractions. If there are any issues the front desk manager will do her best to rectify the situation. My only issue unfixable was the food or maybe It was the water they refill for the rooms. I recommend be on side of caution and drink only bottled water. Don't eat anything uncooked (salads juices made with ice etc.) And you won't spend most of your time in bathrooms.

The hotel is very close to Stone Town, but it is relatively hard to find in the alley. There are road signs on the roadside, so you need to pay attention. The breakfast restaurant is on the top floor, and the view is not bad, you can see the sea.

It happened to be living in the former residence of Queen's lead singer Freddie Mercury. It was really an amazing experience. The appearance of the hotel is good, but the internal facilities are average. The bed and pillows are not comfortable, and the breakfast taste is average. It is better than the good location and the experience of this wonderful celebrity's former residence.

Great location From Zanzibar to Dar es Salem in front of Ferry Terminal Baru, It's convenient. I was happy that the lip reception manager welcomed me. I went to my family. I booked 2 rooms and thank the friendly staff for arranging the room next to my room. There is a fresh fish market nearby. You can walk to it. If you go to Zanzibar the next opportunity It is hotel which wants furniture again I ordered breakfast. I have boiled eggs with fruit and cheese. I ordered The fruit is fresh and the omelet is definitely recommended

The hotel is excellent, luxurious ancient building. The room is oversized and richly decorated in classical style. The location is good and it is one of the landmark hotels in Stone Town. The building is beautiful and the restaurant is the best with all the facilities.

The good/ great Food absolutely beautiful, the breakfast are fantastic, staff are absolutely lovely and can't do enough for you, rooms are clean, quaint and fully of lovely fittings and pictures. Veiw from roof top at night is just gorgeous. Location fantastic, everything easily accessible. Staff super helpful and thoughfull. The hotel is very old but absolutely adorable and full of character. They have gorgeous wines too and they're fairly priced. Gorgeous little court yard with pool and tropical plants throughout the the Not so good. WiFi mostly off or very poor so I couldn't get much work done. Beds are very firm, caused me a bit of hip pain at times because they're so hard. Soft Mattress topper option would be good in order to solve this. Would recommend? Absolutely!

Utterly enchanting- from our 5am arrival until our departure 3 days later we were looked after so incredibly well. The hotel organised our airport pickup and opened up with a gentle tap (you may need help to find it as it’s in the narrow streets of old Stonetown). The front of house was superb and Peter took care of us. The hotel has so much atmosphere, full of antiques and lush vegetation. Breakfast is in the roof balcony. Excursions can be organised. I had read a few unpleasant reviews but I can’t think why, cleanliness was first class and the hospitality was outstanding. I hope you are lucky enough to find a room - we stayed 3 nights it was so good.

The beautiful Zanzibar Island has a sea in front of Baru If you take a walk in the morning, it's close. There are a lot of fruits like pineapple in the morning Make your own omelette with various ingredients I like hot toast and cooking The restaurant is nice by the pool on the first floor I was very impressed with the restaurant staff I was happy to speak Korean at the front desk Ex) Oh ㅠㅠ Close to the city and close to the night market If I go to Zanzibar again, I will definitely go back to the hotel. I landed at Golden Tulip because Trip.com messed up my booking elsewhere, and I only found out about it at the last minute. The location is right by the port, on a side of town that feels quite sketchy. However, Stone Town is small and safe, so it didn’t matter too much. The rooms are nice enough. They have everything you need. People are friendly all over Zanzibar, and at the Golden Tulip no less. The pool is lovely, and service is okay. Sometimes I had to ask more than once, phone down because my towel had disappeared, or guide them through my own bill. The restaurant is pretty bad. I’m not a particularly fussy eater, but don’t feel the need to eat bad food. I ordered three tester dishes on my first day, and didn’t finish any. Another traveler had a similar experience. Breakfast is okay. There is fruit, yoghurt, pastries, omelettes on request, toast, cereal sometimes, and a variety of hot dishes. Nobody seems to notice when the table has no cutlery or when the coffee, milk or a given hot dish runs out. Most days, I found the cereal (if they had it), fruit, and at least one hot dish edible.

BEYT AL SALAAM was superb. Aminia and team were the nicest people we have met. There kind assistance with all our plans and excursions made our holiday truly unforgettable. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A large comfortable bed with chrisp white linen and very comfortable pillows. It had an airconditioner, ceiling fan, tv and tea and coffee facilities. A nice indoor swimming pool TRULY A GEM. Thank you so much for making our holiday so memorable.
