I had the pleasure of staying at Serena Hotel in Zanzibar this past November, and it was a truly delightful experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful island. Serena Hotel is ideally situated in Stone Town and offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. The hotel's architecture beautifully blends traditional Swahili design with colonial charm, My room had a stunning ocean view, making my mornings and evenings unique. It was impeccably clean and spacious. The hotel welcomed me with a lovely basket of fresh tropical fruits, a warm and refreshing gesture that added a special touch to the experience. The serene pool area, beach access, and other well-maintained facilities further enhanced my stay. What stood out the most during my stay was the incredible service. The staff was friendly and professional and went out of their way to ensure I felt at home. They were always ready to assist with a smile and ensure my comfort. Serena Hotel in Zanzibar exceeded my expectations in every way. Its unique charm, excellent service, and prime location make it ideal for anyone looking to explore the rich history and natural beauty of Zanzibar while enjoying luxurious comfort. I look forward to returning.

The room was nice and clean. The service is quite good and proactive. The environment is great. There is also the only Chinese restaurant on Sang Island 300 meters away, which is very cost-effective. Recommended. However, the dolphin watching and prison island recommended by the hotel are relatively expensive, so if possible, look outside.

It's in a great location in the center of town. I was able to walk to anywhere in Stone Town.
The room I stayed in had one queen-size bed. It was a room, but it had no windows and was very dark, so I don't recommend staying in the room during the day. I don't recommend staying in the room during the day.
There was a turndown service, and they sprayed the room with nuts and insect repellent at night. Breakfast was included, but you could choose from three types, and it was very filling and very satisfying.

I was fortunate to stay here in June for 3 nights and I have to say I am in love with not only Zanzibar and Stone Town but this small boutique hotel, more like a boutique guest house as you are made to feel welcome from the first step inside the beautiful front doors. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and I managed to fit in a back and shoulder massage between exploring the city on my own and the tours that I had organised. As I was traveling alone I did most of my meals at the hotel as after long days it was easier to dine there and then relax on my room. The only issue that may be of concern for anyone that might have some difficulty with stairs is that there is no elevator / lift, so request a room on the lower floor but I have a knee issue and it was not too bad climbing to the second floor.

BEYT AL SALAAM was superb. Aminia and team were the nicest people we have met. There kind assistance with all our plans and excursions made our holiday truly unforgettable. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A large comfortable bed with chrisp white linen and very comfortable pillows. It had an airconditioner, ceiling fan, tv and tea and coffee facilities. A nice indoor swimming pool

The following are real pictures and videos I took when I checked into the hotel that day. The room No. 3 on the first floor I checked into that day was originally offered to me, but after waiting for 20 minutes, I was told that there was no room upstairs. Hotel location: Zanzibar Island has convenient transportation. Hotel facilities: Take a look at the pictures for yourself, they were taken on the day of check-in. Looking at the pictures of bedding and linens, the bed is quite comfortable. Disposable slippers are provided. Hotel decoration: see pictures for yourself. Bathroom: There is no dry and wet separation. Breakfast: Look at the pictures for yourself. Hotel service staff: I personally feel that they are very service-minded and quite careless during their stay. The hotel pictures match the actual room pictures.

VvaalerWell, where to start, it's a budget hotel, it works, its central, breakfast is simple but ok, staff are always happy, wifi is stabil and works fine, we hd room 104....... if you don't mind a hotel next to as mosque then it great, we on the other hand didnt appreciate it and were woken up every morning at 5, would I recommend this hotel ? Yes I would, all in all there is no view and a mosque next door, but you get what you pay for, its cheap and works.rooms were clean and tidy, toilet was loose,....... so what for 30 bucks a night

we always stay at Hiliki when we go to Zanzibar, it's good value, comfortable, good location and very nice staff. Delicious breakfast and the team can organise fair price excursions. Definitely recommend if you're passing a few days in stone Town.
