"This place offers incredible value for money. The beds have really thick mattresses, and while there's no hairdryer, the hot water is consistently excellent. I actually stayed here before Machu Picchu and then returned after, choosing to rebook. When I mistakenly booked for a month later on my second stay, the hotel staff understood and even told me they were worried because they didn't know how to contact me about the booking error. They're very considerate; they even asked if a double bed was okay for us. Although we didn't use it, breakfast is also provided. The owners don't speak much English, but they're incredibly enthusiastic and patient, using translation apps to communicate. Upon our initial arrival in Cusco, they gave us a map and thoroughly explained all the recommended spots. The interior decor is also charming. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Cusco. "I stayed here 4 nights before and after the Salkantay trek. The first 4 nights were in a studio room which is very nicely decorated with plants and flowers, the last 4 nights were in a double room with a view of the city. I enjoyed my stay in both. The checkout was very easy, I left the key and bags in my room when I left at 4.30am for the salkantay trek, and when I returned, I was immediately brought to my new room with my bags already inside, which felt really nice after a tiring 5 days. The breakfast was nice, had fresh papaya or orange juice. The location was great as well, just about 5 min walk down to the main square (about 10min up) and the first 2 streets from the main square have police officers around which made me feel safer. Also many cafe and restaurants in the streets around it. I was having diarrhoea and feeling unwell on my last day and was grateful that I could check out later to have a longer rest."

"This was an absolutely FANTASTIC stay experience and I recommend it to all travellers to Cusco. The house is conveniently located in the historic centre of Cusco and you can easily access restaurants, cafes, main attractions within a few minutes of walking. The Wanchaq train station is at most a 20-minute walk on the main street of Cusco, thereby making it very safe and easy at any time of the day. Taking an Uber, it is around 20 to 30-minute drive to the Cusco Airport, costing less than PEN 20. The main gates are locked at night for safety, though all staff will make sure that front desk service is still available 24 hours for anyone needing to exit or enter the premises. Communications is conveniently maintained through WhatsApp and made very easy. There is some street noise in the rooms at night including music playing from nearby shops, but that seems to be more prevalent on the weekends. The room and bathroom are well-maintained and have all the necessary amenities, including welcoming packets of coca tea. There is an electric heater in the room for nights with lower temperatures. Breakfast is made-to-order for every item, and it feels like a private restaurant experience. Eggs cooked any way are of top quality; juices are freshly squeezed; breads are toasted warm; coffee and tea are made fresh and refilled at a moment's notice; and the fruit salads are filled with copious amount of fresh fruit. Service is all top notch: homemade breakfast every morning, housekeeping at appropriate times, 24-hour service for late-night arrivals or early-morning departures, and answering questions for travellers - the hosts are absolutely warm and welcoming in every way possible. They also generously kept my large luggage in storage while I travelled to Machu Picchu for two days (coming back to stay again after), which made my trip very convenient. Again, I would recommend this to all travellers to Cusco, especially considering that the value for money is amazing."

The location is excellent — perfect for walking around the city and relaxing after a long day. A special highlight is the breakfast — absolutely divine. "staffs were super friendly and helpful. stayed there 2 separate nights. one before machu picchu and the other after i return to cusco from machu picchu. rooms were reasonably spacious and well maintained. hot water shower was good. bed was comfy. breakfast was a in my opinion pretty decent and value for money. it starts as early as 5am so u can catch your morning tours after breakfast. they help u store luggage as you embark on your MP trip and return later so u don’t have to book extra night just to keep your luggage in the hotel if u are staying in aguas calientes for a night (u likely cannot bring ur large suitcases up the peru/inca rail). location wise it’s certainly walkable to the plaza. however i can hear noises from outside. i believe it’s the same with most hotels too in anycase."

"I thought it was ok, water pressure was a little weak but I still got hot showers and the toilet flushed, lol. Also I would liked it a little warmer but the heavy down quilt they give you makes up for it. Overall I think I would probably stay again"

"The room facilities are complete and the reception is warm. The staff even provided alcohol to facilitate our handling of the wound. The hotel is decorated in a simple and elegant environment. The breakfast is also good, mainly because it feels great to live in the backyard of the monastery."
