"The price was cheap. Since we were leaving late at night and needed to leave the next morning, we chose a budget-friendly guesthouse. The courtyard was very well maintained. Our family room had a bedroom, a small living room, a kitchen, and a small balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with various appliances, but we didn't get a chance to use them.
The dining area had a very open view.
We saw some long-term European and American tourists in other rooms. Their rooms had small terraces outside, where they could leisurely read in the morning – quite comfortable.
There were also downsides. The slope leading to the courtyard was very steep, requiring us to park the car downstairs and carry our luggage in, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the breakfast was a bit expensive, so we opted to eat at the hotel to avoid the hassle. The food was okay, but not great value for money."

"The location is in a village 15 minutes from the center of Kandy in tuktuk. It is very comfortable to relax outside the city as you are in nature. People there are very kind and helped me with everything I needed. I was very comfortable because I had the whole house for me. But the co-existence with other guests must be very pleasant there. Internet works as well as you can expect in Sri Lanka."

"The price of the Youth Hostel, the service of the hotel. The location is a bit biased, but it takes ten minutes to walk to Kangping Lake and more than 20 minutes to the Buddha Tooth Temple. The facilities are very new and there is a balcony to see the scenery of Kangti. There seems to be a bar on the top floor, very lively, and the end of ten o'clock on time does not affect the rest. In short, it is very cost-effective and worth booking"

"In terms of price/performance ratio, it is great value! highly recommended! The boss is a young man, he is enthusiastic, and his English is very good. My English is very poor. The boss also taught me to use WeChat translator to communicate! I booked it for two days, because I didn't understand a lot when I first arrived in Sri Lanka, so I always troubled the boss on WeChat at any time. The boss also helped me see through the calling card traffic scam. It is really good that the boss is patient! Fortunately, I have chosen his home many times. In the morning, I also asked you the choice of breakfast food for the next day, very carefully. The environment is at the level of a domestic roadside hotel, but the service is at the level of a five-star hotel. There is air-conditioning, a fan, the bath water is hot enough, and the toilet, bath, and face are separated! When I left, I called us a tutu car, the price was so cheap!"

"We had an amazing stay. The house is located at the very top of the hill, so we had the best view from our room. GGuest UserХозяин очень приветливый, я приехал в начале седьмого утра, но заселил без вопросов, огромное спасибо.
Надо учитывать, что дом на холме, из-за этого нет шума с улиц. До центра 10 минут неспешным шагом, но обратно придется ехать на тук-туке. Но это того стоит.
Единственный минус - в комнате очень слабый сигнал wi-fi, но у меня был мобильный интернет, поэтому для меня это было непринципиальным.
В номере всё есть, чисто, без вопросов.

AAnonymous UserOverall it's good, the view of the lake outside the window is beautiful. The location is easy to find, although it is also on the mountain, but the road conditions have improved. Rich breakfast and good service.
Needs improvement: The lobby is old and even a little shabby. There is a primary school under the window, and the drums and trumpets start to sound at around six o'clock. If you see a monkey by the window in the morning, you should close the window in time. There is dirt on the sink that has not been cleaned for a long time.

Потому что меня сразу же отвезли в другой отель. В котором все было идеально. Хозяева отеля молодцы. Быстро разрулили ситуацию. У меня не осталось негативного настроения. GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ganthera and the staff were friendly however the room itself could have been improved. For example, there was distinct black marks on the walls and some mould in the bathroom but we understand the climate is humid (also some dead bugs). Bed area was clean and satisfactory and we slept well.
The front door is locked at night so beware if needing to leave early - staff are not attentive to this.
Whilst we did not use the pool area, the view was nice and pool looked good. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not come back.

The hotel staff were kind and helped me out when I forgot how to lock the door.

夏夏It is said that the lake view room, in fact, can not see the lake, are blocked by some buildings under construction! From the hotel lobby to go down two floors, moving the box is really inconvenient, but the waiter has helped, or really have to fall with the box. The facilities in the room are OK, that is, the plug is a little less. Dinner and breakfast are eaten here, the dinner is normal, the breakfast is very good.

那那蓝1900The first time I tried the capsule apartment, the experience was not good. The lights were too dark in it, and I could n’t sleep but could n’t sleep well because the sound insulation was not very good. . Hygiene is average, there is no hot water, I will not try again in the future. Good place is very close to the station, there is a nice observation deck on the top floor, the scenery is very good

GGuest UserThe owners and employees at this hotel are so, so lovely.
Unfortunately their hotel is not. I almost feel catfished as many of the photos highlighted the bar and pool party atmosphere. This was not the case - the pool was a decent size but in the shade and I actually didn’t see anyone in it. The pool party drinking shots I highly suspect were perhaps not a genuine source.
The same goes for the bar which is massive and attended to by several lovely young, bored gentlemen as both times I popped up (once for dinner) I was the only patron. Again no party atmosphere or even people - which is a shame as it is a big venue.
Fortunately next door was another venue for some decent cocktails and music which saved the boredom somewhat.
The bedroom was a decent size with a small fridge (but didn’t work), the bathroom was small, felt dirty, no hand soap or soap for the shower (apart from leftover previous occupants - and that was gross).
The pressure was poor making showering difficult and there was plaster on the floor from some damage - not cleaned up.
The bed was massive and comfortable with air conditioning and a fan so sleep was good.
Finally, and to repeat, the staff were lovely. Very hospitable and the location is about a ten minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Lake. So great location.
Would I stay there again - no. Would I pop in to say hello to the owners and next door for a cocktails - possibly!
