"This hotel has one of the friendliest reception desk. The elderly uncle manning the front desk was most helpful. When we came back late one night and when the carpark was full. He helped arrange for us to park at the station carpark with no additional costs. And he patiently guided us to the location with a hand drawn map. The local breakfast provided was much enjoyed. Simple fare but it was filling. And it was actually quite enjoyable. Enclosed pictures of our local Japanese breakfast over the 2 days that we stayed in the hotel. The hotel is also within walking distance to the train station. And under the train station there's a supermarket which use super convenient to grab some grocery items for the stay."

The breakfast was a little less than other inns, so it was a cut size! Women may be a little bit painful.
Hot springs are always put in front of the hot springs if you put a tag on it.

There is a room up to 3F, but there is no elevator, so it may be difficult for older people.

"This is my first time staying in the Youth Hostel. The experience is very good. The front desk service is very enthusiastic. I am very patient to introduce the facilities. I will also greet you very warmly when I go. The girl bed in the room is very clean. The Youth Hostel has no smell. Everyone is of high quality and very quiet. I slept more than 10 o'clock and went out to play at 8 o'clock. I will stay here next time I come to Beppu! !"

"It's a capsule hotel. The only downside was the lack of a proper door separating the restrooms from the sleeping capsules, making it easy to be woken up. However, the staff were incredibly thorough and helpful when explaining all the necessary information for the stay."

"The people working here are so nice! I was able to drop my luggage off early before check-in which was sooo appreciated. It’s in a quiet little neighborhood close to the train station. It seems like a lot of the attractions are in Kannawa though which was a 30 minute bus ride away. The rooms were straightforward- one bathroom in the room, not as modern but clean. They provide slippers for your room, and there are privacy curtains around the bed. There’s a kitchen downstairs available to use."

"Pros:
The hostel is clean and provides a drink bar with hot and cold beverages including soups. They also have mangas and a few video games provided. The room is spacious and comfortable.
Cons:
The location is about 10-15 mins from the Beppu station, but close to Donki Beppu and convenient stores. However, they DO NOT support early or late check-in. They asked us to leave the baggage unchecked and unattended when we arrived early. The point where we disappointed was the notification of the check-in time. Most hotels/ hostels in Japan support early or late check-in but seems like they don’t have enough staff for that. We didn’t realize the the check-in is required by 8pm. They called us around 7:10pm-ish to inform the check-in deadline time. And we tried to negotiate cuz we was very far away and was in the mountains. We called them back cuz we tried to speed up but it almost caused an accident. The answer we got was NOT SUPPORTIVE. They only said customers had to read the check-in time on the website (Trip.com) and they couldn’t wait even we said we would be late for 5-10 minutes at the fastest pace of our journey. Luckily, there was a group of customers who was checking when we arrived (20:05 pm) so we could check-in."

"I think the staff is very kind. It was a tasteful inn, and the open-air bath was very comfortable and awesome.
We used it without meals. The location is good, so there are convenience stores and coin laundry that can be walked from the inn, so it is easy to use. It was good that it was easy to access in a place close to tourist spots."

"I booked this guesthouse while coming from Fukuoka.
It was an 8-person dormitory.
It had bunk beds.
I slept on the first floor for three nights.
The wooden beds creaked and creaked whenever I moved.
The beds next to me also made noises when I moved.
I woke up too often during my sleep.
This was a major drawback.
The kitchen and lounge were convenient to use.
The bathrooms were clean.
The sauna had showers. The hot sauna facilities were nice.
The staff were friendly.
It's convenient to travel from Beppu Station to Oita and Yufuin.
The Beppu Ropeway is convenient.
The beach is just a 10-minute walk away, offering stunning ocean views."

"I booked a superior room and it was suitable for four families.
The room has four bedding, a sitting table, a washbasin, a toilet, a dresser hanger, etc.
There are amenities in the lobby, such as refrigerator vending machines, microwaves, etc.
The sour room is not in the room, you have to use the hot spring bath.
There are three hot spring baths, which can be reserved for an hour. It's just right for the family to have a hot spring together.
There was a person who could speak English, so I used the facilities comfortably."

DDevil maskThe hotel rooms are quite large for Japan, and the in-room hot springs and paid hot springs are also very good. The hotel will give you a free snack of Chibi Maruko. I personally don’t really like this kind of food, but the Mentaiko flavor was surprisingly delicious. Overall, the hotel is very good and I would like to stay here again if I have the chance. The only problem is that it is a bit far from Beppu Station.

GGuest UserUntil the day of check in, I never receive any check in procedure and I had to call customer service and wait for the line transferring. They did not limit the parking for every unit and I had no parking available but I saw one of the unit had parked 4 cars there. I called for help on no hot spa water coming out but they answered they could not do anything for me. Overall experience was good

GGuest UserWe stayed here as a couple and loved every moment. The room was clean, beautifully designed, and felt relaxing as soon as we walked in. After enjoying the private onsen bath made of wood and stone, we watched a movie on the projector while lying on the tatami, which felt so cozy and special.
The amenities were carefully selected and felt high-quality, adding to the relaxing stay. You can tell the host cares about every detail. If you want authentic Japanese experience with your partner, this place is a perfect choice.

GGuest UserI was worried because there weren't many Korean reviews recently. This was my first trip to Japan, and I really wanted to go to Beppu, but I was worried about where to stay. I booked this accommodation after looking at the photos of the interior without even looking at the location, but when I made the reservation, it turned out that it was located a bit far away from the downtown area! However, since the purpose of going to Beppu was the hot springs, I felt it was a great advantage to be able to use the hot springs within walking distance from my accommodation.
The accommodation is really clean and cozy, but also spacious and comfortable! The bed was so soft that I slept well until morning without waking up even once! Also, they say it is difficult because the accommodation is on a hill, but since the trip is a series of walks anyway, I was able to experience the Japanese countryside and it was really nice! ♥ And thanks to the host who kindly guided me, I felt really good!
If I go on a trip to Fukuoka, I will definitely go to Beppu again, and I intend to visit this accommodation again! Thank you so much for giving me happy memories :-)

GGuest User全般的にはとても良かったと思います。JRの駅に近く、周りには温泉も複数あり、スーパーや飲食店にも徒歩圏内です。卓上ミラーを誤って落として片側を割ってしまいました。すいません。代わりになるものを１００円ショップで購入しておきました。機能的には劣るかもしれませんが、お使いいただければと。
２点、改善いただきたい点があります。
1. エアコンの掃除をした方が良いです。中の熱交換器が埃に覆われているため、効率が悪いです。掃除することで電気代も下がると思いますし、もっと冷えると思います。
2. 長期滞在なのにゴミの無料回収が１回のみでした。夏場の暑い時期なので、せめて週に１回は回収していただきたいです。または分別方法、捨てる方法を教えていただければ対応可能ですので、そのあたりは宿泊者や宿泊数に応じて臨機応変に対応いただけると助かります。
以上です。大変お世話になりました。もしまた別府に行く機会があれば、利用したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

TTengqisizhiKannawa is close to many attractions, and the owners are friendly. Translation software made communication smooth, and I confirmed my dining and check-out times upon arrival. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the open-air baths were practically like having your own private bath during off-peak hours. The area was safe at night, and you could freely wander around Kannawa. I visited Beppu's eight hot springs and seven hells, and around 11 PM, I also went to the nearby Kura Onsen. Since Kura was deserted at night, I essentially had it all to myself. The meal includes the hell bath, so you don't need to eat there repeatedly. Providing a menu would be even better.

I have a short stay (unfortunately) at this hotel.
It was a short walk from Beppu Station, and nearby attractions also restaurant!
I am having so much fun strolling around the hotel!
Beppu tower is located like 5 minutes walk, the Donki store and my favourite restaurant Gusto also SUPER NEAR from the hotel!
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND WILL AGAIN STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

EEinfachDillonNicely located hotel with free Onsen. The rooms are fairly old and mine was once a smoker friendly room, which explains the slight smell of cigarettes and the yellowish walls. It is great that the hotel is located directly in front of the main station, but be aware of outside noise.
I still slept like a stone so for the price I can recommend it.

MMils CandyskinsThe staff are friendly and helpful. I was allowed to leave my luggage upon check out and still explore Beppu. The team even assisted me with taking my luggage to the front door.
Rooms are clean and equipped with a hairdryer, kettle and fridge.
There is a microwave near reception and there is laundry and dryer however you need to pay.
Please note, there is no lift, only stairs to the reception from the main road however the staff helped me carry my bag.
Location is a few minutes walk to Beppu station and buses therefor easy to get around.
Thank you for a pleasant stay! I will stay again when I return to Beppu!
