We stayed in The Swan for just 1 night as we were attending a wedding close by. Everything & everybody was 1st class!! Our plans changed just 24hrs before & we were arriving earlier than planned. I telephoned The Swan to ask about an early check in & the very helpful lady explained that they couldn't guarantee it but she'd put in a request. When we arrived just before midday our room was just being finished & within 15mins we were able to check-in so a big Thank You to the housekeeping team. The room itself was fabulous, big & bright & very comfortable. Breakfast was superb - the eggs benedict were 2nd to none & as I don't drink tea or coffee I asked for a hot chocolate which was really good. All the staff were so friendly, helpful & genuinely wanted to please. Thank you very much for a short but very sweet stay.

This was literally a stop over during Covid an essential trip. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room upon arrival looked clean and we literally just crashed. However, inthe morning we discovered a pair of dirty socks from previous occupants left on the side cupboard and sachets of sweetener between the sheets and the mattress! Unacceptable at the best of times nevermind during a worldwide pandemic. Reported to staff who apologised and are handling complaint. Staff very apologetic but simply unacceptable.
