The hotel is alright. Breakfast can be booked the night before and it costs £7.50 or, if booked in the morning. £12. Not really worth it considering that there is a Costa coffee only 4’ away and many other options like the Tesco Metro and a big Morrison’s. The location, parking and views are good, but if you’re looking for privacy and quiet this might not be the best place since you can hear everything from the other rooms and it can be quite annoying. There is an amazing bar called Black Isle only minutes away with excellent pizzas and an incredible selection of beers, definitely the best option for lunch/dinner.

I really like this hotel. The view is amazing, and the reception is very friendly. They also have a restaurant and bar downstairs, which is really a saver for us after a long day of driving.

We stayed at the Corriegour Lodge Hotel for 2 nights between the 9th - 11th of September. The Lodge is a wonderful old converted Hunting Lodge by Loch Lochy, which is between Loch Ness and Spean Bridge. The Lodge is around halfway down the Loch and is isolated from most local amenities, that may be a good thing for some people or it may be a bad thing, you will certainly have to drive for a good 15 - 20 minutes to get to the nearest town (Spean Bridge), but I'm assuming most people staying at the lodge will have transport so shouldn't be a problem. The owners are very nice people who do their upmost to ensure that your stay is the best it can be. Also to note that the Lodge does have its own private beach which you can use (we never did, but you can), however, the Lodge sits the other side of the A82 from the Loch, meaning, in order to use the beach you have to cross the relatively busy road. When looking at the pictures of the Lodge on Trip Advisor you could be easily mistaken for thinking that the Lodge sits right on the edge of the Loch, but that's not the case, something to bear in mind. The grounds of the Lodge itself are very nice with ample parking, complete with its own waterfall in the back garden. The room we had was Room 4 which had a nice view of Loch Lochy (see pictures), the room itself was a decent size, had its own small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower and was very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. We were aware of the prices of the restaurant for the evening meal and so decided not to eat at the lodge for our evening meal, instead choosing to eat at some other local restaurants which were very good. However, we did have breakfast every morning (as it was included in the price). You have to make your breakfast selection the night before which wasn't an issue for us, but for some people it may feel a bit limiting. The breakfast itself was very nice, every morning I had the full breakfast, Bacon, Egg, Lorne Sausage (which is like a square sausage, quite nice). The only thing I felt was that the breakfast was a bit dry, due to the lack of serving something like Baked Beans with the full breakfast, but, to be fair your getting a full Scottish Breakfast not an English one. The views out of the restaurant are stunning, looking out over Loch Lochy and the Great Glen. There are 2 rooms downstairs which are for exclusive use by the hotel guests, these are a wonderful sitting room with a log fire and a small whiskey bar which sells a variety of bottled beers, ciders and of course whiskeys. It's a nice place to have a drink, but just be aware that the prices are not cheap. The lodge itself is decorated in a very rustic old style which we actually really liked and think it makes the Lodge seem very warm and cosy, almost like stepping back in time, which is a good thing. Let's talk about it first, 1) The location is better, right on the main street. 2) The beds look sanitary. There are also bad: 1) The bathroom is not small, but the facilities are extremely mini. The washbasin is only about ten centimeters, there is almost no hand under the faucet, and you cannot wash your face. The shower uses a curtain. 2) The front desk is directly shared with the restaurant front desk on the first floor, which is very crowded. Other aspects are quite satisfactory, such as breakfast.

Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's ”aged”. Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying ”gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it”.

We had an amazing stay here, the property has been recently refurbished and it's so elegant and spotlessly clean. The rooms are good size and they have everything you would need for your stay. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices and v tasty. (Also, regarding the previous review, a B&B CAN offer breakfast, it does not mean it's included in the price - it says quite clear when you book if it's included or not and most properties offer it as an option). The location is so peaceful and very close to Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glencoe Valley, Glenfinnan Viaduct, etc All in all, excellent value for money as most accommodations in the area are much more expensive. The owners have been so friendly and helpful - thank you for making our stay memorable!

Lovely experience and warmly welcomed by Matt, who provided an overview of the facilities and assisted in our arrival. We arrived later in the evening and he took the time to check in on us. Nice little touches in the room with wonderful amenities and close proximity to the centre of town. If I was a whiskey drinker, I would have taken a dram from the honour bar which was a nice set up . Loved the stay and will definitely revisit on a future trip
