Hotels fairly decent. No air con in the room we stayed in and it was uncomfortably warm. Evening staff at the Beefeater need to go to Specsavers. Physically having to call them over after waiting for ages, watching them pay more attention to cleaning empty tables than existing customers. Eventually we walked out after waiting to try to get their attention to pay the bill. They didnt see us go! Extras got added to the accommodation but even so, poor quality really. Multiple items on the menu not available They were also turning away walk ins even though the restaurant area was over half empty and they were only wiping down tables. When we stayed here last year the menu was excellent with a wide range of steak sauces available and vegetables. Now its only peppercorn sauce (cold) and chips. Think we'll try somewhere else next year.

I came to this hotel for Crufts and won't be returning. The fire alarm went off each morning about 6am. I have PTSD and this alarm caused a major trigger for me. None of the staff mentioned it or apologised at breakfast or reception. It was like they didn't care. The bed was comfortable and shower was nice although a bathtub would have been a nice touch too.

Fantastic service. Stopped here overnight on business. Room was very nice and well equipped. Came down for an evening meal and Louise looked after me. She was amazing and so professional. Very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend. She is a huge asset to the premier inn Hockley Heath

I know this Premier Inn has mixed reviews, but we found it to be almost perfect for what we wanted. We stayed one night, before an early morning trip to the airport. It's a lot cheaper than staying at the Premier Inn closest to the airport, but it's still only a 15 mins drive away. There is ample free parking. It looks a bit rundown when you first turn into the pub car park and there was old furniture scattered around outside. First impressions weren't great, but once you get inside it was a complete contrast. The staff were friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy and it looked like the room had been recently modernised. It was very spacious, there was somewhere to put the case, free WiFi, sockets on both sides of the bed, the bed was comfy, the shower was powerful, Baylis and Harding hand wash and shower gel is provided and the mood lighting in the bathroom was a nice feature. The room was warm and extremely peaceful, no traffic noise. It was a really relaxing stay. A couple of things to mention are the hotel has no lift and a handrail in the shower would be beneficial. Overall, though, we thought this was one of the best Premier Inn rooms we've stayed in.

We had a premier plus room and on arrival the room smelt of sewage. Toilet had not been flushed and carpet was dirty so cleaning was not very good. We were moved to another room which on return after a few hours also smelt of sewage. We also only had 1 towel for a family, tried to get more but at to wait 15 minutes at reception because the 24 hour reception staff were helping the breakfast service. Very poor night sleep as the heating controller was locked to prevent temperature of less than 19 degrees being selected and room was too hot. At breakfast only 2 front of house staff were having to deal with a very busy service, 20 minutes to take our order and on arrival the food was luke warm and like cardboard. Stayed at many premier inns over the years and this one is the pits. We tried to complain on leaving but the reception was not being manned (again).

Excellent stay. We booked a standard room and contacted the hotel to ask for a room with a bath but was told they were family rooms only. However we were upgraded. It was a very comfortable room and the breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful and informative.

Me and my wife have stayed here a few times and each time has been fine. Its a quiet hotel, has always been clean and the staff are truly brilliant. Always polite and helpful. We dont eat here.. but in terms of getting a good nights sleep I have always, beds are comfortable. I often book in advance and secure my nightly fee for under £100.. I think that is reasonable, anything higher is questionable.

A short one night stop at this hotel. A good night's sleep, very quiet as I don't think there were many other guests staying. Plenty of parking available. Nice area. Easy journey on the Saturday morning for a show at the NEC. I think the hotel has recently been renovated, so it's really modern and clean. Would stay here again if visiting the area.
