Solidaridad Hotels with Gym

Our stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.

one of the best hotel I have stayed, you have everything like 12 restaurants to eat and the pools and the place to do kayak and be on the ocean pools ara amazing its a nice resort with everything you can dream, amazing views and the restaurant the mercado san juan its amazing for breakfast its food all around Mexico you need a week to see the whole hotel, plus you have acces to all the parks of Xcaret we try the xenses and Xcaret at night its nice, everything for all the family better than the disneys resorts I think its one of the top 10 best hotels in the world, it has something for all kind of taste, from privacy to a lot of places for socialize. I will comeback again for longer stay its worth it.

The hotel is in the large park of Kaman Beach. There are many luxury hotels around. There are many golf courses. The hotel is a holiday nature and there are many recreational items. Please don't compare with the city business hotel. The balcony has bird droppings and the room has spiders. Normal, because the hotel is covered by the jungle, there are many flora and fauna, the breakfast is good, dinner is better, there are many restaurants and pools, the beach and sea are medium!

This review is long overdue, but we visited Secrets Maroma for the 3rd time in May. Once again this beautiful resort did not disappoint and keeps proving why we keep going back. This time we brought my brother in law and sister in law and they absolutely loved every minute of our trip. The rooms and grounds are as beautiful as ever. Everyone works so hard to keep it clean. One of the best things was seeing staff that was still here from our last trip 5 years ago. It was like going home to see old friends. Upon arrival we were greeted with a familiar smile by Daniel who handed us our cool towel and took care of our bags. Check in was very simple and we got to see another friend Paola who is now working in the front offices. While we were waiting for our rooms to be ready we went for lunch at Seaside and walked around the property. By the time we finished our rooms were ready and Vertiz our building concierge made sure we had everything we needed. Throughout the entire week Vertiz always checked on us and happily gave us anything we had asked for. Each morning we had no problem getting chairs by the pool and the concierges there were always helpful with getting setup. This is where we saw another familiar face, Bramdon. Always great to see him and meet his coworkers Francisco and Manny who always made sure we had our chairs and towels. We also had some great pool servers such as Alberto and Einar. The beach had some seagrass but they worked so hard from very early in the morning to clean it up. Now onto the food. Every meal we had was great and I could not say anything bad about any of the restaurants. The servers and managers at the restaurants are always checking to make sure everything is perfect. There are so many but a few we have to mention are Alba, Estela, Carlos, David at Seaside Grill and Juan the chef at Seaside for our special lunch he prepared with Alba on our last day, Pablo at Bordeaux, Alejandro, Lucio and Josua at Market Cafe, Luis the teppanyaki chef at Himitsu. Last but not least was the Entertainment Staff. They were so much fun and we got involved in so many of the activities because of them. Stephanie, Sebastian, Oscar, Sandy, David, Asdrubal, Memo and Matias thank you for making our trip extra special. So sad when you have to leave this wonderful resort but we will definitely be back.

What an amazing vacation! From the moment we arrived until we were dropped off at the airport. The attention to detail is ridiculous, and above anything I have ever seen. By the second day, the staff knew us by name! And I would like to mention a few of them by name who were amazing. Patricia in the morning at the restaurant, from our very first day went out of her way to make sure that everything was exactly as we wanted it. At that same restaurant, Erik who was our server in the evening and also for our candlelight dinner on the beach, made everything so much better …even taste better by his awesome service and attention to detail. We went to the adjacent sister resort and had dinner at the Mexican restaurant, which I highly recommend (& also the Italian restaurant, Mio!) our server there, Elisio, had me smiling and enjoying everything even more with his wonderful personality. He knew that we loved the desserts the next day he remembered and brought us special desserts to our room. That was a wonderful added touch. We have a very interesting diet and the chefs curated & created everything especially for us!!! Last and definitely not least, was our personal staff. Alberto was always on the ready to take us wherever we needed. And we were assigned the 2 most amazing butlers, Fernanda & Liz. The level of service these women provided to me and my husband was beyond anything we had expected and now can’t imagine vacationing anywhere else. They completely spoiled us!! And went out of their way to make our 25th wedding anniversary a celebration and a day we will never forget. Yes, the accommodations and the location are exquisite. But it is always the people that make the experience. We had such an amazing time that before we even left we booked our next trip there!! And I will reach out to our two butlers before I arrive because I do not want anyone else to be taking care of us while we are there even though I’m sure whoever they would assign would be splendid. If you’re on the fence about indulging in a trip like this, allow me to give you a little push. You will not regret it. I know for sure I did not regret it. Jhon at Skybar 5th floor took good care of us. He was very pleasant and informative. We did visit the bar on several occasions and at one time it was very busy but Jhon managed to handle the rush professionally. We plan on Returning next year if all goes as well. I also want to mention that the food and service was exceptional. My only complaint is the elevators were too congested and very slow.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We came for a friend's wedding in October 2021, and will keep out wedding-specific items for this review. There are many activities in the complex, but we came to see friends, hang by the pool, eat and drink. Overall this fit the criteria. During this time, it was still very humid, but perfect for being in the pool (not necessarily a wedding outfit!) Room service is convenient, but not always fast, especially late at night. I think 2 hours+ one evening for us. The room service food was better than some of the restaurants in my opinion. We didn't go on the beach other than for a pre-wedding party. They go through COVID testing when you check in.

Ths was our fourth visit - the previous ones being in 2017, 2019 and 2021. We had heard that there had been some changes but then, all hotels change over time. A week before our arrival we requested one of the refurbished rooms and were located one. Refurbishment started on one block back in 2019 and it appears that nothing has been done to any of the other blocks since then which is not good as they were all very dark rooms and in desperate need of refurbishment. Our first surprise was that you can no longer book all of the restuarants as in previous years. You could only book for Mia Casa and Klay Talay. To book all the restuarants you had to be a ”Member” (whatever that was). The Culinarium had had its roof tiles removed by a hurricane and as such, was closed and the Seaside Market no longer opened in the evening. This meant trying to get into any of the other restuarants was a nightmare as waiting times were from thirty to one hour forty minutes. Even after waiting so long, both the service and food quality was not as good as previous years. The staff seemed stressed and who could blame them. On one visit to the Klay Talay, we waited at our table for twenty minutes before we were offered a drink and then waited a further forty minutes before our food order was taken. We tended to have lunch at Driftwood where there was waiter service. The staff here seemed a little calmer though when we queried why portions of chips (French fries) only contained six pieces they just shrugged. One of the reasons we have had four visits to this hotel was that there is a tennis court and we like to play every day. It has never been in great condition but was always playable - not this time. No maintenance had been carried out in years, the surface was bubbled and cracked and it had holes. The rubbish bin had not been emptied for ages and the gate wouldn't close. I could go on but this shows the depth that this hotel has fallen. There are clearly budget issues which are affecting the maintenace , the staff and the food, I understand that there are new owners and that they intend to sell some of the rooms on the American side as time share. We wiill not be returning.
