"Nice hotel with great view! Location is very near the express bus terminal and bus stop to Seoraksan National Park. Walking distance to Sokcho Beach.
Huge washing machines and dryer machines available."
"This was a very pleasant place to stay before and after a hike in Seoraksan National Park. Lovely view from the balcony. Very clean and comfortable, and helpful staff!
Very convenient location. The local bus to the national park is right across the street from the hotel, and the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the express bus terminal.
I was pleasantly surprised by a washing machine in the room, which was great to clean my muddy clothes after my hike (you'll need your own laundry detergent).
The room had a kitchenette with sink, hot plate, and full-size refrigerator and freezer. The only problem is there was no pot or pan to use on the hot plate, so I could not actually use it to warm my food (unless I would travel with my own pot)!
It would be nice if the room provided a hair dryer and if the hotel had some breakfast option. The cafe downstairs offers only drinks, not food, and doesn't open until 11 a.m.
The entryway light is motion activated, and there are many electronic buttons and panels around the room that emit light, so if you are sensitive to light while sleeping, you will have to cover your eyes with a sleep mask.
Also note that it you close the sliding door between the bed and living area while the air conditioning is on, it will prevent the cold air from reaching the part of the room where the thermostat is located, so the air conditioner will remain on indefinitely, and the sleeping area will get very cold.
The various panels for lights and temperature were a bit difficult to understand. English labels would be helpful. But the receptionist was helpful and came up to my room to show me how to use the air conditioning. The USB port on the nightstand worked some of the time and sometimes it didn't. I couldn't figure out if there was a switch or setting somewhere in the room to make it work, or if it was just malfunctioning."
"The check-in & check-out experience was a bit disappointing. No staff at the counter when we tried to check out in the morning.
We only had a short stay in the hotel, but the facility inside the room is well equipped, even with a laundry machine.
Overall is fine with this low price."
"This hotel crowned my stay in Sokcho-si . Very neat beds and serene environment. The receptionists were very nice and friendly and helpful . They woolier and showed us were we could find good Korean cuisines . My room had a beautiful observatory and I will alway love to go back to spend my love time there."
"Good: Very spacious room with great view and a balcony! Bathroom had a rain shower. Walkable to Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion which has great night view. Bus opposite hotel goes directly to Seoraksan. Walking distance to Intercity Bus Terminal.
Bad:
1. Front desk. I asked about the swimming pool when it was before 9PM. Official closing time was 10PM and last entry was 9:30PM. Front desk staff told me the swimming pool entry has closed for the day even though it's not 9PM yet.
2. Only had housekeeping once even though I stayed for 4 nights. This was not explained during check in."
"My friend and I absolutely loved our stay! The hotel was clean and conveniently located, very close to Sokcho Eye and Sokcho Beach. Having a 7-Eleven on the ground floor was also a huge plus.
I was incredibly impressed by the built-in wardrobe – it was massive, perhaps even a bit *too* big, but I loved it because of how much storage space it provided. It was perfect for me!
However, the convenience score wasn't perfect because there wasn't a single mirror outside of the bathroom. I had to go into the bathroom every time I needed to use one.
If I ever get the chance to visit Sokcho again, I would definitely want to stay here.
(On our second day, around 4:40 PM, the fire alarm seemed to malfunction, but the staff were very quick to make an announcement and clarify the situation.)"
"We checked in a couple of hours after 6:00pm and there were no check in lines at all, the check in and check out process was very smooth and efficient. The room was clean, with great views of both the shops and restaurants below, and the partial ocean view was nice as well. The hotel had a convenience store on the 5th floor which we visited frequently. My family and I enjoyed the Ramada by Wyndham Gangwon Sokcho and will be returning soon,"
"The hotel is brand new. Stayed in a partial ocean view on the 15th floor. Had a nice view of the ocean. 5 minute walk to the beach. Nice rooftop area on 21st hotel with 2 swimming pools and tables and chairs. There was plenty of parking underground. Only complaint is that the furniture seemed to be rather dusty and no chairs on the balcony to sit on and enjoy the view. Would definitely stay again."
"My husband and I came to Sokcho for a trip. Whenever we came to Sokcho, we would only stay near Sokcho Beach, but this place was really great. The beach was unique, and the ocean view from the accommodation was really great. If only the weather had been nice, it would have been perfect, but it was a bit disappointing because it rained. I recommend this place to my friend. It was so good. My husband also said he would come again next time. I had a good rest."
"I went on a 2-night, 3-day trip with my family. There was no inconvenience at all for a family of 8, and my parents, who are picky about accommodations, said they had a great time. And I was able to move around freely because there was a mobile key, and I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the accommodation :)
It is near Cheongcho Lake, so it is good for taking a walk, and there are convenient facilities (marts, convenience stores, etc.) nearby, and there are also restaurants nearby, so it was good to go out and visit lightly.
The downside is that the windows of the accommodation are so visible from both inside and outside, so the night view and the view are so good, but it was a bit disappointing that the curtains had to be closed, and the water pressure was weak when showering."

Great
TTommyGunnIt was a last minute reservation we have made to enjoy our national holiday and it surely was a great decision!
The location of this resort is in prime spot right next to the Dae-po dock where for the seafood lovers you are in for a delight of fresh and cost efficient sashimi and steamed crabs.
Not only that, the resort itself was very resourceful for the families who bring their youngs
- massive indoor playground
- arcade for the little gamers
- quiet family friendly walk way into the shorelines
- indoor water park
(Stopping here because my fingers hurt trying to write everything down!)
Lastly, the rooms were cleaned at exceptional quality with the ocean view.
Definitely coming back here next year!
GGuest UserThe best location every time I go. The best service. The best atmosphere and satisfaction.
This trip was also a very memorable experience, and Kensington Hotel is at the center of it all.
The room has a great view. They upgraded me to a two-bedroom, so my family and guests were all satisfied.
Front desk staff. Always friendly and warm.
The best hotel. Service. Atmosphere!!
GGuest UserIt was a rainy weekend so my schedule changed and I tried to arrive at the hotel a little early to wait, but they said that cleaning was complete and let me check in early, so I was grateful. The facilities were nice and clean as it was a new building, but the parking space felt a little lacking. It was a good choice because it was easy to walk to the central market.
GGuest UserThe Sokcho Cassia Hotel, which we visited for our wedding anniversary trip, was located in Daepo Port, and we could see both the port and the sea from the veranda of the accommodation. It was on the 25th floor, and when we went in, there was a slight musty smell from the bathroom shower room, so we took off one star for cleanliness! The breakfast here was 66,000 won, which was expensive compared to other accommodations, so we had high expectations, but there weren't many options for the price. Weekends are divided into three parts, and you can choose on a first-come, first-served basis when you check in. I think the checkout time was 11:00, but we checked out right after 8:00 after the first part of the breakfast to avoid traffic.
GGuest UserI spontaneously decided to stay for a night and booked after reading reviews that praised its cleanliness. It was much cleaner and more spacious than I expected, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. I really enjoyed watching the sunrise over the ocean!
The only slight issue was that parking was quite limited, probably because it was peak season, and I barely managed to find a spot. Otherwise, check-in and check-out were smooth, and I was very satisfied.
GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights, and the owners were really kind and friendly and invited us to sing and play Korean songs along with them and other families in the stage they have in the basement. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my whole trip in South Korea.
The room and water were warm and well suited for the winter. They upgraded our room for free and there was so much space with sink, fridge, sofa and table included. The breakfast every morning is delicious and filling, preparing you well for a day of walking in the mountains. 설악산 was beautiful coated in the white snow. The location of the hotel is great too, as there is a frequent bus that takes you to the park in no time, as well as to the city when you first come or when you leave the last day.
I hope I can come back again to visit the park during different seasons, and I will definitely would like to stay in this hotel again.
Thank you for everything.
Gracias, 감사합니다 😄
IIunaGreat location, 15 min walk from Bus Terminal and buses to Seoraksan park, rooms facing sea and a small island, nice terrace, huge rooms with everything one can wish for.
The only issue for me as a foreigner was that the pension catered only to Korean tourists as all signs were in Korean language that complicated finding the reception (it is in level 2, and you have to ring a bell to a room - likely before check-in time nobody will open). The owner, although a friendly lady, doesn't speak English and it took me long time to communicate my need to leave a backpack in the corridor before heading out for hike. I was offered to drop it in my room at once, which was super nice.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, incredibly close to Seoraksan National Park. While it's an older building, the interior is remarkably clean and appears to have been recently renovated. You can tell they pay close attention to detail, as the sheets, sink, and cooking utensils were all spotless and well-maintained. We also made use of the barbecue area, and the presence of a cute dog made the experience even more delightful. I'll definitely be back!
GGuest UserWe arrived early at the hotel and we were hoping to be able to leave our luggage in a luggage room . When we got there , there was no staff on the Reception desk as the hotel operates a non face to face check in . This is fine but we do not speak or read Korean and we were unsure what we had to do . Eventually after two hours we managed to check in using Kakeo talk . Very frustrating to have wasted that time . It was also confusing because our room was not actually in the hotel but next door in the hotel across the road .
The room it self was brilliant . Very clean and spacious Lovely bathroom with enclosed shower . Tv , fridge and washing machine .
The hotel was across the road from the beach so that was brilliant . It seemed a long way from the main part of the beach and any restaurants where we could eat ..
MMUHLISAI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sokcho Night Sky Glamping campsite, and it was a truly memorable experience. This was my first time glamping, and the facilities and location exceeded my expectations, making it a delightful getaway.
The campsite is beautifully situated, offering a serene environment that is perfect for a peaceful retreat. The recent rain had left the surroundings looking especially lush and vibrant, adding to the charm of the place. The glamping tents were well-equipped and comfortable, providing a cozy and unique way to enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort.
One of the highlights of the stay was the option to have a barbecue, which added to the overall experience. Cooking and dining outdoors under the stars was a wonderful way to spend the evening.
However, there was a minor hiccup during our stay. A family staying nearby enjoyed karaoke until 11 PM, which made it a bit challenging to sleep. While it didn't entirely dampen our experience, it might be helpful if the campsite had quiet hours or guidelines to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night.
Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend Sokcho Night Sky Glamping to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique outdoor experience. The blend of nature, comfort, and well-maintained facilities makes it a great choice for both seasoned campers and first-timers like myself. I look forward to visiting again, perhaps with a bit more earplugs for a guaranteed restful night!
