Sokcho-si Hotels with Breakfast

It was a nice hotel, close enough to a lot of recreational activities but far away enough to be quiet. Breakfast buffet was good and affordable. Convenience was attached to the building so you have everything you need. 😊

The amount I paid for our three days staying at the hotel paid off. Its cleanness and amenities were excellent, its location to the nearby restaurant was very convenient. The ocean view was phenomenal. Parking guide was there 24/7 and I liked it very much. The front desk girls were very nice and polite. I strongly recommend this place to anyone. Five stars rated plus

Very clean and comfortable. The underground parking lot is very convenient. The night view is also very beautiful. I will book this hotel every time I come to Sokcho. I can see the night view of the bridge and the sea view from a distance, and I can also see the lighthouse in the distance.

I use it occasionally because it's good value for money, but this time I was disappointed that the bathtub was a little dirty, but I was grateful that they handled it well. Ondol rooms are the best when taking a baby!

Was really looking forward to my stay at the Kensington Hotel Seorak. But when I pay $263AU / night I have a certain expectation that a 4 star hotel will live up to the hype. The service at the check-in desk and in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel itself exudes 'history' and it was interesting spending time looking at the library, hallways and various displays on offer. The menus were adequate for our stay and we spent 29000KRW on the chicken and beer offer on the first night and the steak and wine (120000KRW) on the second night. Breakfasts were 29000KRW/pp or 10% off if you book at check-in were also value for money. However several aspects let the hotel down. Hot water was hard to get - I tried for an afternoon shower and again at midnight with no luck. Larger hotels in Korea tend to have central control over the air conditioning, so if you like a cool room you'll be out of luck by October?? Even having the small window open, and turning of the 'air conditioning, the room was stuffy. Having found a laundry bag and order form I was told that the hotel no longer offered that service. Disappointing. The towels were worn / frayed on the edges (they've passed their useabe date) and though the hotel room we were in had a great view the windows were so grubby it was hard to really enjoy the view. While I appreciate COVID has had an impact on the hotel industry generally, I'm pretty certain that the Kensington, with its views and proximity to Seoraksan, faired better than most. While I would stay here again I would like to think that for prime pricing the Kensington could up its game and ensure that such small issues were addressed.

I took my 3-year-old baby and 1-year-old baby with me, and the accommodation was comfortable and nice. They even gave me a free upgrade because I waited a long time at check-in, and the people at the breakfast restaurant were very friendly. Although the accommodation is old, the bedding is clean.

This is the only hotel I stayed in Korea that charges for an extra 4-year-old. We booked a room for an old man and a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old. There was only one old man and two children, which were big enough to stay, but the hotel said that they would charge an extra fee for each person, even if they were 4 years old. This is a bit too much. The hotel is old and looks very old. It looks very close to the beach on the map, but you need to go around a long way to get there. I don't plan to book it again in the future. The weird thing is that the second floor looks terrible. Don't press the wrong elevator to go to the second floor. The second floor is different from the other floors and is extremely shabby, like **. There are some Korean old lady tour groups staying here. I don't know if there are two different prices.

The facilities are old, but there are remodeled rooms and unremodeled rooms. Book in accordance with your pocket. The internal bedding and towels were unexpectedly neatly dry and smelled good. There is also a sauna and a convenience store. However, the parking space is narrow. Breakfast is not much, but it was delicious with buffet style.

I came here alone, and the location was great because it was close to the lake and the beach, and the room was clean so it was great for resting! There are many restaurants nearby and Daiso, so it's great for buying urgent items.

I made a reservation after seeing the review that it was good to remodel it, but it was nice because it was clean. There was a microwave in front of the elevator on the first floor and a water purifier in front of the elevator on each floor. There are computers and printers in the lobby, breakfast room and cafe next to it. There was no noise between floors, the room was warm and the price was good.
