Best Hotels near Novoferm - Шоурум, Sofia

I missed my flight at sofia airport so had to book a hotel for one night. So I went for a mid range hotel. It was better than mid range. Lovely helpful staff on reception, an aceptable price with thier discount....paid 68 euros for a large kingsize bed with onsuite bathroom. Comfortable bed, fresh pillows (very snazzy cushions too) and a nice relaxing corner sofa, reasonable TV and every thing was realyl clean. Complimentary coffee and tea, which is not the norm in Bulgaria, nice and quiet, was lovely and warm. Actualyl a bit too warm and I couldnt turn the heating down so I had to sleep wit hte fridge open to cool off as aircon didnt work. THis was the only negative for me. They did an airport pickup, but not a drop off and this nearly stopped me booking, as they should have told me this at the begining, however they were saved by the fact the metro was 4 stops to the airport and cost me 1.60 leva, so about 70p. I picked up food from the little shops in the metro, as I hit a holiday so the restaurants close by were closed. A very lovely stay and Id go there again. AND they had these lovely drop lights near the bed as side lights, some veyr nice touches, clean crisp sheets, soft towels and nice soaps etc and they dont ask you to leave till 12 lunch time. Missed the connection and had to book a hotel near the airport. This Ibis is fine for the night on a stopover but not much to do around. Still ended up going to town to eat and have a look around so would have been just as easy, and a bit cheaper, if I would have picked a city hotel. The room was two single beds and nothing much else included, reasonably clean but still expensive bearing in mind it is Bulgaria. Fine for late arrival and short stay if booked early.

The bathroom is small. The room was clean. Breakfast is more general. The surrounding traffic is not very convenient. It is 2.5 km from the subway and 15 minutes if you walk.

Well this was certainly something to remember. Stayed here back in May 2018 for a conference. The hotel is a cold was relic, which I would certainly not book had I had the choice. The lobby is huge and empty, and the rooms spread over numerous floors, sparcely decorated, giving you a cold and dreary feeling. The views over the dark city and sweeping, but the location is not central and did not offer anything to orient yourself. There is a quite good restaurant with local cuisine nearby. Sofia itself is worth a visit, the centre is quite interesting and the immense cathedral extraordinaty - worth a visit for its own shake.

Upon arrival at the reception we had problems with the prepayment; It was not possible to pay the price without the prepayment already provided, after about 30 minutes it was possible in cash, not the preferred card payment; the employee justified this with a new computer system. The room was not air conditioned upon arrival and was quite warm; the shower does not drain normally and quickly fills up to the brim; The beds are a kind of box spring bed: for me (about 85 kg) the mattress was not comfortable. There was only few toilet paper upon arrival, so I called the reception after it was finished, but after about an hour nothing was delivered - not to be expected for a 4 star hotel! The bathroom fan is a bit noisier than I expected and should usually auto stop after a while (although it was connected to the lamp, it usually happens). The thick curtains easily detach from the suspension when closing, and the small room fridge is much too loud (noticeable at night). When exactly is breakfast should be in the folder (I didn't see it at first glance) I liked the breakfast, the orange juice could be freshly squeezed, there should be milk (and lactose free) next to the muesli, and there should also be gluten free bread, but overall good quality of the products; we didn't try the restaurant for dinner due to the high prices. fitness room: Directly the first machine on the left (for legs) doesn't work and it hasn't changed during the week's stay, although we complained, the note with this information had fallen under the bench, so not visible; but otherwise the hall is in good condition The pool is small and during the stay they closed it, it was soon announced that the pool heating would be repaired: heating at 35 degrees outside air temperature? Incomprehensible! I tried to speak to the manager but he didn't seem interested. After we asked for a discount because the pool wasn't working, at least they took away the note the next day. All in all, this hotel did not overwhelm us and we will not visit it again: high standards and beautiful pictures, but unfortunately no coverage in reality.

The hotel is only more than 1,000 meters away from the airport, but the road is a bit winding, it is better to take the hotel’s airport shuttle. There is a timetable for the hotel shuttle bus, but there is no one to take the bus; the hotel is easy to handle at the airport, make an appointment with the front desk, it is no problem to leave on time; from the airport to the hotel, if you don't call in advance, you may not be able to wait for the bus! The breakfast was good. The hotel has a parking lot, which is very convenient for self-driving.

3 night in aparthotel for leisure. Room very nice, housekeepinh every day take off gabgage and refill everything for bathroom, maybe it wpuld be nice to clean windows propperly and below bed, but for this price is very good. Little bit outside city centre, but around is also enough to see/view. Taxi from aparthotel to city center approx 4-5-6€. Ms. Irina (I hope I wrote her name good, is great!

Excellent territory, for children in restaurants a special menu, everything is very tasty. Ice cream until sunset! great animation. Own beach, large and tidy. Heated pool. Everyone here guys, it's cool here!🤩

We were here as part of a group tour in September 2022. Check in was swift from the hotel staff and we were given a room on the second floor. As we were part of a Travel Talk Tour, some of the rooms were twins and some were triples. I was in a triple room for the one night we spent here - for three lads with suitcases, the room was a bit on the small side, but we made it work. The beds were comfortable enough, the bedding and the room were clean and the fixtures were in good condition. As well as the three beds, there was a desk, TV, wardrobe with safe and hanging space. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, large sink and vanity unit and toilet. The towels were clean and there were no issues with water pressure or temperature. The hotel wifi was good - good range and speed. We headed into one of the conference rooms for a briefing before our tour and it was a good size. There was a wedding party next door in one of the other conference rooms. Breakfast was good, with a good selection of food and drink. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. Location-wise, you've got a big supermarket next door, so if you need anything, including anything from a pharmacy like we did, then you're in luck. Overall a good short stay here - recommended.

I stayed in the hotel for about 10 days. The single room was small but pleasant, with the caveat that the bed was SUPER SMALL. It was barely big enough for a single person, even smaller than the twin size - something important to keep in mind when booking. Another unexpected surprise - the hotel does not provide basic toiletries (soap and shampoo), so come prepared. I want to add here that there WAS a hand soap dispenser but I don't think that you can use hand soap for anything else but hands. You get one big towel and one small towel, changed fresh every day, plan your bath time accordingly. While the staff is friendly and helpful, many of them don't speak English or have very limited vocabulary. The hotel does provide breakfast but from the feedback from other guests I did not think to try it out so I can't say anything about its quality. The area around the hotel is calm and quiet with good public transport. The metro station is a few minute walk along the boulevard, there are a couple of trolley bus lines not too far either and the biggest arena is within walking distance. There are a few restaurants with good food and good prices but they are well hidden, make sure to do your research beforehand (or ask the hotel staff). The biggest disadvantage for me (big enough to discourage me visiting the country again) - smoking is tolerated pretty much everywhere, there were groups of people smoking at the entrance at all times. The hotel could do better protecting its customers suffering from severe asthma and other respiratory conditions.
