Hotels Near Lively Silver Water in Sofia

Upon arrival at the reception we had problems with the prepayment; It was not possible to pay the price without the prepayment already provided, after about 30 minutes it was possible in cash, not the preferred card payment; the employee justified this with a new computer system. The room was not air conditioned upon arrival and was quite warm; the shower does not drain normally and quickly fills up to the brim; The beds are a kind of box spring bed: for me (about 85 kg) the mattress was not comfortable. There was only few toilet paper upon arrival, so I called the reception after it was finished, but after about an hour nothing was delivered - not to be expected for a 4 star hotel! The bathroom fan is a bit noisier than I expected and should usually auto stop after a while (although it was connected to the lamp, it usually happens). The thick curtains easily detach from the suspension when closing, and the small room fridge is much too loud (noticeable at night). When exactly is breakfast should be in the folder (I didn't see it at first glance) I liked the breakfast, the orange juice could be freshly squeezed, there should be milk (and lactose free) next to the muesli, and there should also be gluten free bread, but overall good quality of the products; we didn't try the restaurant for dinner due to the high prices. fitness room: Directly the first machine on the left (for legs) doesn't work and it hasn't changed during the week's stay, although we complained, the note with this information had fallen under the bench, so not visible; but otherwise the hall is in good condition The pool is small and during the stay they closed it, it was soon announced that the pool heating would be repaired: heating at 35 degrees outside air temperature? Incomprehensible! I tried to speak to the manager but he didn't seem interested. After we asked for a discount because the pool wasn't working, at least they took away the note the next day. All in all, this hotel did not overwhelm us and we will not visit it again: high standards and beautiful pictures, but unfortunately no coverage in reality.

Me and my husband stayed there for 3 nights. Lots of dust in the room, like no one cleaned areas at the head of the bed for years. The same situation is in the bathroom, broken drain plug in the bathroom tub, mold, rusty stains. We had great expectations regarding this hotel. We do not recommend it. Three stars are for the friendly English speaking staff, delicious breakfast and central location of the hotel.

As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted by a uniformed man, who welcomed us to the hotel and took us to the reception desk, having looked after our bags, which were later taken to our room. The lady at reception treated us with great courtesy and efficiency, and therefore, from the outset, we realised we were in a well-run five star hotel with professional and helpful staff. Our bedroom was stylishly decorated in cool shades of grey, with two wide beds, a panoramic window with a view of Vitosha mountain, and the marble bathroom was of a good size, with modern fittings and a lovely walk-in shower. We had booked the Club Room and were not disappointed with the newly opened Club Lounge. They offer refreshments during the afternoon and then ‘happy hour’ from 6-8 pm. We found the service really excellent, with staff keen to help, and spent delightful early evenings having drinks and eating an enticing array of canapés. Breakfasts were also excellent in the Europa restaurant with a wide selection of cooked and cold options from the buffet, and dishes cooked to order such as omelettes and eggs benedict. One last point to mention - we found the Chief Concierge - Todor Goranchovski - most helpful in booking us restaurants and directing us to some notable attractions in Sofia: he was great. The Intercontinental is really a top class hotel and we would not hesitate to stay there again - thank you to everyone who made our stay memorable.

Very late arrival time checkin service staff is very good Can help call the car, the room is comfortable and clean, the bed is very comfortable, the whole is bright and clean, there is a balcony, the breakfast restaurant is good.

The hotel is 10 minutes from the central station by walking. You can walk to nearly all main attractions in the city. They allowed us to check in early. The receptionist and the cleaning lady were nice and helpful. The room we booked was the deluxe one so it was big enough to accomodate the three of us. Only two negative points are the fact that it is very noisy at night and if you walk to the hotel at night (after 11pm) the surroundings seem to be a bit dangerous.

The room is big, but the decoration is a bit old. The scenery outside the window is very good. When you open the window, you can see the majestic snow-capped mountains opposite. The surrounding environment is also very quiet. Overall, it is good.

Hotel was really handy for bus and train stations, also only 30 mins walk from centre. Room was clean, good and well presented and reception good helpful, friendly and efficient. Free breakfast was allright, decent selection except for coffee machine which was either broken or bad.

I missed my flight at sofia airport so had to book a hotel for one night. So I went for a mid range hotel. It was better than mid range. Lovely helpful staff on reception, an aceptable price with thier discount....paid 68 euros for a large kingsize bed with onsuite bathroom. Comfortable bed, fresh pillows (very snazzy cushions too) and a nice relaxing corner sofa, reasonable TV and every thing was realyl clean. Complimentary coffee and tea, which is not the norm in Bulgaria, nice and quiet, was lovely and warm. Actualyl a bit too warm and I couldnt turn the heating down so I had to sleep wit hte fridge open to cool off as aircon didnt work. THis was the only negative for me. They did an airport pickup, but not a drop off and this nearly stopped me booking, as they should have told me this at the begining, however they were saved by the fact the metro was 4 stops to the airport and cost me 1.60 leva, so about 70p. I picked up food from the little shops in the metro, as I hit a holiday so the restaurants close by were closed. A very lovely stay and Id go there again. AND they had these lovely drop lights near the bed as side lights, some veyr nice touches, clean crisp sheets, soft towels and nice soaps etc and they dont ask you to leave till 12 lunch time. Some rooms need renovation. Service was great. Breakfast delicious. The location is next to the airport, but getting there is hard, the street on the map which is going there is actually a offroad gravel road. Alternative way is to ho 2 km to sofia and then make a u,-turn. But I still recommended for one night stands close to airport.

Room is a bit old style. TV is small. Shuttle to airport not on time for my reserved time (Waited 30+ min), but not sure if this is common. Breakfast is great (considering the grade of the hotel - a variety of hot options). Great view of city and parking lot in room. Friendly staff.
