We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our way to Romania
Pros- the hotel is in a great location. Quiet leafy street, 500 meters to main bus and train terminal, approx 20 min walk to Vitosha boulevard
- the room itself is quite nice, the TV has English channels, the balcony was an unexpected plus
- the breakfast provided is adequate, though you need to go to an adjacent hotel
- the staff were friendly and did their best to help
Cons- the bed was not made up, they provided a single bed sheet for a queen sized bed. There was only one glass for 2 people. The quilt in the cupboard was filthy, it had no cover and we couldn’t use it
- the mattress has no protector and is too soft. It might suit some but it is too soft for a hotel mattress
- I tried to call reception to ask them for another sheet, a clean quilt and a glass. No one answered the phone. (I was told the next day that the phone is broken ). I went downstairs to find someone but no one was there or answered the bell on the desk. The next day I was told that the receptionist had to cover two hotels so is not always there . Please take note if you are arriving late to the hotel-there May be non one to check you in
They are also very strict on check in times. If you want an earlier check in time than 2 pm you need to pay for it
Overall the hotel is decent. If there had have been someone at reception all the issues would have been quickly resolved
The main complaint is the cleaning and maintenance of rooms

The surrounding environment is very quiet, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the city center subway station. The view from the balcony in the room is also very nice.

It's a shame to get such a big room for 30-40 euros. The staff was friendly. The restaurant on the first floor was not open perhaps because I visited on a Saturday, and although it was quite old, it was definitely perfect in terms of price.

The best thing is the location. The cleaners didn't do a good job. I voluntarily asked not to change the sheets on the bed, just clean it twice in six days. But the cleaning is basically not done, that is, the garbage is collected and the toilet paper is not forgotten.
And none of the three hotels Sofia stayed in was like what Ctrip said: after arriving at the store, you have to pay a few more yuan.
