Did an overnight stay in a room at the garden level. The hotel was basically new, hence there was nothing to comment about the room amenities, facilities and quality. The garden room had access to open garden at the balcony. It was kinda nice but also lacking privacy. Anyone with access to the garden could literally looked into the room if the curtains were not drawn. It doesn’t help that the hotel only had night curtain. A day curtain could help to provide some privacy while maintaining some sunlight in. I also like about the room having multiple usb ports for charging of devices. They also had a wireless charger by the bed side which was kinda cool and keeping up with the IT trend. There was electric kettle still available in the room, but also ice water available and the machine along the common corridor. Carpark wasn’t free as they were not the owner of the entire building. An overnight stay was about S$50, that’s like 20% of the room cost. Offering some Carpark rebates or coupon could help defer the cost. As for surrounding facilities, there wasn’t much if you were a tourist. The area was surrounded by tech industries, the train station was about 5-7 mins stroll. There’s a nice Starbucks beside the hotel though.

We arrived at 2 pm and they allowed us to early check in. The location quiet close to Bendemeer MRT station (10min walk), and bus station. The room is clean, but very very very small, for 2 person, we hardly find a space to do prayer. There was a curtain but actually its just a wall behind and no window.

The hotel front office offered me an option when I arrived earlier at 1:30pm, offer me a triple room (per photo), the conditions are allowed to enjoy earlier check-in and late check out for an hour, then can be moved to a connected room (per my booking) which is on the higher floor tomorrow. After viewing the room, I have rejected their offer. When I came back to 3:00pm to check in, I got the lower floor on the 3rd floor which has a lot of mosquitoes, the same platform of swimming pool which is easily accessed by outsiders from the window. Therefore, I have requested to move to a higher floor tomorrow, the front office said the higher floor is no longer available. This is ridiculous, why did the front office staff tell me earlier if I accept the offer, they can provide me the higher floor the next day. But as long as I rejected their offer, the higher floor becomes unavailable? Fortunately, the customer service of Trip.com is named as Mac who has assisted me to gain the higher floor after negotiating with the hotel. Front office staff have a bad attitude, Even when it's my turn when lined up, she has asked someone to come over to her desk, encouraging customers to cut the line. But the house keepers are always having excellent service, with a smile on their face always. Facilities and amenities: small pool with 0.9m and 1.2m Average price per person: SGD100

Staying at Hotel Boss was a great experience, especially for those looking for a balance between comfort and affordability. The staff are polite and responsive, and the hotel facilities, including the pool and gym, are well-kept. For Muslim travelers, there are halal restaurants nearby, adding convenience. Overall, Hotel Boss is a practical choice for travelers seeking both comfort and accessibility at a reasonable price.

First of all, the location is excellent because it is right beside the Lavender MRT station, which made travelling convenient. In terms of cleanliness, the room was quite clean, but one big problem was that the shower drain constantly emanated a foul smell. We had to close the toilet door, otherwise the smell would spread. In terms of service, we requested for extra pillows, and the hotel were able to accommodate to our request promptly. However, during check-in, the staff wasn't cheerful or welcoming. Also, when we asked some staff about the hotel facilities, they either replied that they don't know, or replied with a rather negative body language. Finally, for facilities, the basic ones were present, along with a small gym room and a swimming pool. However, the mini fridge inside the room was not cold enough at all, causing our ice cream to melt. Also, there were no coin laundry in the hotel. Overall, the biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. Yet, despite being branded as sort of a budget hotel by many travel vloggers, the price wasn't budget at all, and the product value is definitely lower than what one would expect from its price.

Cons: - The whole hotel is undergoing renovation with hoardings/ tarpaulins around, had to walk over to another block via a transfer floor (also under renovation) and change lifts - Main pool and gym seems not accessible due to renovation works - Check-in took quite long to queue, even with all 4 counters in service, still by traditional pen-paper handling with requirement of deposit. Also noted some mass group room booking/ check-in probably by tours/ agents which largely took up reception’s capacity - Sound insulation is quite a problem. There was no seal under room entrance door (could see corridor light seeping through the bottom gap), and under separation door with adjacent room, could hear from neighbours quite clearly - Middle floor’s view of our room is limited to the podium pool (undergoing works), opposite hotel black and back lane of Funan mall. Reckon higher floors would have much better views - Windows of room are quite dirty from outside which affected the view. Single-glazing only, could hear city noises from time to time Pros: - Very convenient location at city centre right next to big Funan mall with direct connection to MRT and loads of food choice; right opposite to old fire station, Fort Canning Park, cathedral, etc; walkable to most city centre spots - Considerably spacious room in heart of city, which was recently refurnished with simple and modern touch - Clean interior, but with some touch-up on damaged toilet wall tiles. Some tiles seems to be replaced but with slight color variance with the remaining ones - Hot water with more than enough water pressure - Comfy beds and linens

Stayed here for a night and really enjoyed my stay here! The service is excellent, hotel is clean and modern and the breakfast at Lime is great. Pool is small but nice too! Counter staff upgraded our room to the lifestyle room as we celebrated our wedding night here. Also provided us with free bottle of wine and complimentary lychee cake. Very happy with our stay here and will come back again for more!

i booked an urban suite to celebrate my fiancé's birthday, and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves to the max. the hotel system was down when we were checking in, but our front desk staff, Rosy, explained the situation to us, gave us a beverages voucher to enjoy a drink each while we waited for our key cards at the lounge, and even personally came over to hand us the cards once the room was ready. shortly after we checked in, a staff member from the collection club lounge dropped by the room and gave my fiancé a mini cake, a box of chocolates, and a birthday card. we went to the collection club lounge for evening cocktails and were surprised with a bread pudding platter with a lighted candle to celebrate my fiancé's birthday and managed to catch the ndp rehearsal's fireworks show. overall, the interactions we had with the staff members were exceptional, and we felt very welcomed and taken care of, everywhere we went. the urban suite room was very clean and spacious, and we had a wonderful view of the cbd area. having stayed in many hotels in singapore, this is by far the best room and experience ive had.

It’s away to train station. It’s clean and cozy. They make bed everyday and change towels, they refill even coffee and creamer. They have a water refilling station in the lobby.

We stayed here as a group of 8 people during our business trip and I can fully recommend the hotel. the area was great for us, lot of bars and restaurants and good night life. Further, the bus which brought us to the company every day was just around the corner (Bus no. 15). The hotel itself is very clean, has a big shower (so good!!!) and was cleaned every day. I liked that in the bed there was two different pillows, a soft one and a firm one! since I only like soft ones it was great for me! the stuff is really nice and helpful. booking taxi middle in the night for us or giving good tips as we had some issues with the credit card (it wasn't hotel fault, it was the bank!) and the best : the stuff is always smiling!! not to forget the nice orange juice machine (two!). having a fresh orange juice after the hot working day was great! I didn't take any pictures of the hotel, but I did from the juice machine :) Breakfast was nice and there is always something for everyone. me for my part love Asian food, so I enjoyed kaya buns and the fresh fruits. Also the coffee is nice and I loved the masala tea! Around the corner of the hotel you can eat famous Katong laksa! the best in the city in my honest opinion! Also five chicken star is nice place to eat since they are serving very good hainanese chicken rice. If you go down the street from five chicken star, you will find Mel´s Place, a nice beer garden with local people. You can watch football here, play billard or enjoy live music on some events. When traveling, I like to connect with local people and get more nice tips where to go, so my tips here are far away from the touristic areas and events.
