"The hotel is very close to Lion Rock. You can see Lion Rock from the swimming pool, and the entire hotel is spread among towering woods with towering ancient trees. The environment is comfortable. There is a pool outside the door of each room, which is also a feature, but there are mosquitoes🦟.
The food in the hotel is, well, edible. If possible, it is recommended to eat at the restaurant street 500 meters away. There are many excellent choices.
Service, if the tip is big enough. Here, the front desk staff is very aggressive in not giving change. Although this number is not a big deal for tourists, I feel very different when I tip and when my change is deducted.
Maybe because skin color is less popular. Because this is a Western world? have no idea."
"Our least popular hotel stay in Sri Lanka. We checked in for 4 nights and needed to ask for a room change the following day given the toilet smelt and slowly kept flooding the bathroom floor. That problem clearly pre-existed, but given most people only stay a night, It wasn't something that was high on the hotels priority list to address. The coaches come and go carrying 55-70 year old Europeans and Chinese, and they only stay a night. The level of service at this hotel wasn't a great experience, with reception needing management attention. There were exceptions (pool guy and luggage porter were both lovely).
The most frustrating thing about this hotel is that they should be rocking it. It's a great location, nice pool and a good setting, but that's where it stops. The rooms and restaurant are physically tired. Food was pretty average bordering poor despite being plentiful in choice. They had live music playing at night, which was so 'live' that it sent us to sleep early two nights in a row. Great idea, terrible execution, and that is pretty much how we would sum up the place.
It's no surprise that the hero promotional shot used by the hotel to market it's hotel is the photo of the view from the swimming póol to Lions Rock. Sadly, that's the only hero experience to be found at this hotel."

"As the name suggests, it is a retreat in the jungle. There are no windows, and the trees are the natural windows. You can meet squirrels and monkeys, and you are surrounded by the sounds of many birds and insects in the morning and at night. The hotel offers a variety of activities, which can be booked.
The beginning of April, when we stayed, was firefly season, and when it rained in the evening, more than a dozen fireflies surrounded our mosquito net."
"The hotel is in a forest, composed of beautiful two-story buildings of 6-7, each with 4 rooms. The hotel has a large yard, large lawn and swimming pool are very beautiful. The room facilities are quite satisfactory and there is no special place. The service is very good, warm and thoughtful, and the welcome drink is delicious. Breakfast is not a buffet, the variety is relatively simple, there are toast, eggs, fruit platters, juice and milk. The room is not soundproofed. If the two adjacent rooms are strangers, they may affect each other. There are many monkeys on the tree in the yard. The monkeys will play on the roof and make a lot of noise. This is an advantage or a disadvantage. Everyone has different evaluations. In short, it is a good hotel, whether it is an excessive or a leisure holiday, it is a good choice."
"An annex building of sigiriya rock gate resort.
The owner lives next door and is a very homely inn that responds to meals and laundry.
He took me to Pidulangara Rock at 5 a.m."
"Just a short walk from the bus stop, this gem of a guesthouse is hands down the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always offering help and thoughtful advice. He even arranged for a local tuk-tuk driver at a very reasonable price, ensuring I had the best experience exploring the area. Every afternoon, he would check in and offer a delightful cup of tea, making the stay feel extra special.
His wife’s cooking is an absolute highlight—breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much care, adding a homely touch to every meal. The room itself was super clean, big, and incredibly comfortable. From start to finish, they both made me feel completely at home. I can say this was the best accommodation I experienced during my time in Sri Lanka, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable and comfortable stay."
"Все хорошо, приятное чистое место) единственное влажность большая, но как и везде здесь. Простыни были не совсем чистые. В номерах не хватает прикроватных тумб и пару стульев, плюс шкафа или чего-то для одежды. По расположению 20 минут пешком от центра сигирии, но нам было хорошо ходить пешком."

TTravelwithFrogThe room is clean and good good and good room. The location is near to the rock. The owner is very kindly and helpful.
XXIANDONGGarden-style hotel, with beautiful scenery and large rooms. There is also a welcome ceremony when arriving at the hotel. There are not many people staying at the hotel. The most funny thing is that from the lobby to the room, the bottle car cannot pass the path smoothly. At that time, the design was not thoughtful. The overall feeling is that this hotel is a relatively high-end hotel in the local area, which is good in all aspects, but remember to give a little more tip, otherwise you can just shake your face and show it to you
GGuest UserRecommended, the location is very good, opposite the Lion Rock, and there are many food and drink options next to the hotel. The lobby decoration is very distinctive, and the room is not big but comfortable and clean. There are not many types of breakfast, but it is a pleasure to sit in the beautiful lobby to eat. And the price matches!
SSabine40Had an amazing stay in Nelu Villa! The pool is fantastic in the middle of the rice fields.
In the restaurant great views on the Lion Rock! The fish in banana leaf’s is very delicious. Breakfast the pancakes are yummy.
Room is okay with ac and mosquito net, bathroom with shower is a rain shower, very nice warm water.
Also the balcony has a great seat to enjoy the views.
Thanks for guys for the lovely cake on my birthday.
RRobert MarkThe staff were superb! They couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one.
The room was clean with plenty of space. Air conditioned and comfortable beds.
Breakfast was really good: fruit, roti, coconut pancakes, eggs how you want them, fruit juice, other bits too. Our table was hardly big enough to hold it all.
An excellent location to visit Lion Rock and several restaurants and bars within walking distance serving local and western options.
BbrendayuanA health resort, not suitable for short-term stays for tourists. The three meals a day are extremely simple, with almost no meat or eggs. If the hotel booking by Ctrip hadn't been messed up, I wouldn't have moved here temporarily.
