"Recommended, the location is very good, opposite the Lion Rock, and there are many food and drink options next to the hotel. "We stayed for 2 nights for sightseeing in Sigiriya Rock, but it was a nice resort hotel living in a large forest. The room was a two-story cottage style and our room was on the first floor. It was noisy that the footsteps of the people on the upper floor heard the slapstick from 4 o'clock in the morning and I was worried about the smell of the drain, but the rice was delicious (breakfast did not change much) It was good to be able to eat comfortably at the restaurant in front of the pool where the refreshing breeze passes. I had dinner because there was no restaurant nearby, but I chose the first night from the a la carte menu, and the second night was a buffet with plenty of curry and desserts. On the second day, I was troubled because I couldn't use Wi-Fi on the １ day due to network failure, but it was fixed the next morning. The staff were kind and smiley. Because the hotel is remote, I asked the hotel to arrange a round trip to Sigiriya Rock and a round trip to Pidulangara, but it was said that it was 4800 ruby twice. The same driver came on both days and was a good young man, but the local guide was surprised that this price was much higher than the tuk-tuk I caught around it. Please be careful if you are using it."

"Our least popular hotel stay in Sri Lanka. We checked in for 4 nights and needed to ask for a room change the following day given the toilet smelt and slowly kept flooding the bathroom floor. That problem clearly pre-existed, but given most people only stay a night, It wasn't something that was high on the hotels priority list to address. The coaches come and go carrying 55-70 year old Europeans and Chinese, and they only stay a night. The level of service at this hotel wasn't a great experience, with reception needing management attention. There were exceptions (pool guy and luggage porter were both lovely). The most frustrating thing about this hotel is that they should be rocking it. It's a great location, nice pool and a good setting, but that's where it stops. The rooms and restaurant are physically tired. Food was pretty average bordering poor despite being plentiful in choice. They had live music playing at night, which was so 'live' that it sent us to sleep early two nights in a row. Great idea, terrible execution, and that is pretty much how we would sum up the place. It's no surprise that the hero promotional shot used by the hotel to market it's hotel is the photo of the view from the swimming póol to Lions Rock. Sadly, that's the only hero experience to be found at this hotel."

"The guest rooms are very distinctive, the children especially like them, they are very novel, and the supporting facilities are relatively complete, cost-effective, and the swimming pool is also quite good. The children have a lot of fun. The surrounding natural environment is also well preserved. There are often some small animals running around, and the children can watch ants moving, geckos catching mosquitoes, chameleons changing colors, mimosas, etc. The children are very focused. "One of the best hotels I lived in Sri Lanka, running by a local family. They are very nice and hospitable and even provided very delicious local breakfast with wild honey and welcome coconut water. The room was a quite big with high ceiling, clean and all the stuffs were available. The hotel is in the closest location to climb the rock mountain called Pidurangala to view panorama view of Sigiri and sunrise and sunset and very close to Sigiri Lion Rock as well. The hotel can provide car and jeep services. Jeep safari to see a herd and other wild animals were quite an experience to feel the wilderness and nature. This hotel is 100% recommended when you are in Sigiriya. If you need a car service for city to city travel, here is the service provider, called Danu and his contact number is (0774) 642 805. He is a nice and humble guy with certified local guide. We got his service from Sigiriya to Kandy to Yalla to Colombo, the trip went very smooth and we are happy that we covered all the attractions places with his assistance. Highly recommended!!"

"Had an amazing stay in Nelu Villa! The pool is fantastic in the middle of the rice fields. In the restaurant great views on the Lion Rock! The fish in banana leaf’s is very delicious. Breakfast the pancakes are yummy. Room is okay with ac and mosquito net, bathroom with shower is a rain shower, very nice warm water. Also the balcony has a great seat to enjoy the views. Thanks for guys for the lovely cake on my birthday."

The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always offering help and thoughtful advice. He even arranged for a local tuk-tuk driver at a very reasonable price, ensuring I had the best experience exploring the area. Every afternoon, he would check in and offer a delightful cup of tea, making the stay feel extra special. His wife’s cooking is an absolute highlight—breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much care, adding a homely touch to every meal. The room itself was super clean, big, and incredibly comfortable. From start to finish, they both made me feel completely at home. I can say this was the best accommodation I experienced during my time in Sri Lanka, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable and comfortable stay."
