Lacks safety features The hotel had lots of charm, but lacked modern safety features in the bathroom. Such as grab bars. I found the shower was slippery and dangerous

It’s a little creepy- my room was at the end of a hallway that wasn’t well lit and I felt unsafe. I was a female traveling alone on business.

I don't know if I will ever believe ******* reviews again. This is not a nice hotel. The person who checked me in was nice enough. But the huge lobby was dark as if they were trying to save on electricity and our room felt like a dungeon. In what was basically 3 consecutive rooms in our hotel room, there was one window, total, and the window was frosted and had bars on it. No natural light at all. We felt like we were in the basement, and we paid for the "VIP" room! The decor in the hotel and the room was very dated. I was not comfortable sitting on the upholstered furniture because it didn't appear clean. The toilet seat had a huge yellow stain on it. I didn't feel comfortable having a shower because the color of the bathroom tiles made it difficult to determine if they were clean. The entire hotel had a strange odor. The outside door to the hotel would not close properly and was not self-locking. Anyone from the street could walk in and walk directly to our room. I barricaded the door with chairs to feel safe. There were no amenities at all except for a closet with things you could purchase like bottled water and such. I will never stay here again.
