For me this is the best budget hotel in Dongmen. As a seasoned traveller I vote with my feet and come back to this hotel everytime even when I was far away from the hotel and have to hail a taxi.
The no-nonsense but attractive lady with the ponytail at the reception is always very helpful and considerate.
The room and beddings are clean but not very sound-proof. Bottled water is provided even at this competitive price. Since it is in the heart of Dongmen district with eateries lined the streets it is easy to grab a quick bite of any kind 24/7. Good value for money.

Facilities: The glass of the bathroom is transparent, speechless! It was very awkward to use the bathroom when staying with friends. There was no hot water for showering, so I could only use cold water.
I booked the room because I saw it had air conditioning when I booked it, but it didn't have air conditioning. It was very hot and I woke up several times at night because of the heat.
Environment: It was stuffy, the light was very dim, it was very depressing, the air was not circulated, it was not fresh, there was a weird smell in the air, it was very smelly

Every time I come to Shenzhen, I will choose to stay here. It is just above the Dongmen Old Street subway station, and it is very convenient to go to Hong Kong. The hotel is very cost-effective, safe and hygienic, and the ladies at the front desk are also very nice!

Moreover, I booked a double bed when I made the reservation on trip.com.
