Yiju Hotel (Shantou High-speed Railway Station) Reviews

The hotel and staff are very pleasant. Though the staff don’t speak English, they try to help. The room is big and quite clean. There are some stain in the bathroom but the housekeeper come and clean for us immediately. The breakfast is also delicious. It locates near Shantou station but not a walking distance.

Hotel is not as close to the train station. A 10mins taxi ride. It's near food district. There's also a local market about 10mins walk away. The tourist sights all need to take abt 15mins taxi ride. Not a big issue as taxi are easily available and affordable. It's new hotel. Will consider other better location hotels in future. As Shantou has many good food districts.

Weird projector above the bed makes one uncomfortable while lying on bed. Because the TV is actually a projected screen, it has poor resolution and you have to turn off all lights to have a decent picture. The hotel is very near the high speed train station and numerous food outlets.

This is a relatively new hotel with high tech facilities that amaze us. Very interesting experience for us. Location is in the center of eateries. You name it, they got it. Bed is very comfortable and furniture is also nice. We are from Canada that we have problems using WeChat pay and Alipay, but Mr. Lam, General Manager of the hotel, go out of his way to solve our problems, hiring a car with driver to tour around the cities and attractions, and finally called a Chinese Uber to take us to the train station. We are truly grateful of his to help whenever he could. Overall, we enjoy the three nights stay very much and would recommend this hotel to visitors touring this city.

Located in a very local residential neighborhood. The hotel is pretty new. For the price I can't complain. Overall it was ok.

Nice, new and clean rooms but they allow people to smoke in the lobby which is a minus point. Elevators smell of cigarettes all the time. Laundry in lobby, but suggestion is to limit the wash and dry cycle to a fixed quick wash & dry so guests won't select long cycle. One staff attitude poor, she force you to leave a review in front of them before you leave, which makes me suspect a lot of the reviews here are not genuine as guests may feel pressured to leave a good review. Same girl kept scolding her colleague in front of guests too.

There are many restaurants near by. Breakfast was fair enough.

The hotel is new and clean. It has complete facilities, including a gym, chess and card room, laundry room, breakfast room, etc. The location is good, only a few hundred meters away from the Zhujiang Road Food Street where locals love to go, and only ten yuan away from Longyan South Road where tourists love to go. In addition, there is a Baheli Beef Restaurant downstairs. It is worth praising that the waiters at the hotel front desk are very kind and friendly, giving people a feeling of being at home!

A pleasant experience. We arranged a high floor, which was very quiet! The hotel lobby is spacious, bright and stylish. The front desk staff is warm, thoughtful, professional and meticulous. The room facilities are complete, the bedding is comfortable, parking is convenient, and the robot delivers meals. I will stay here again next time I go on a business trip.
