My go to hotel in Shantou. An older hotel that is ageing gracefully. Great location, friendly service, lovely rooms and car parking

It takes about ten minutes to get to the hotel by taxi after getting off the high-speed rail. It is very convenient. The environment is elegant and comfortable, clean and tidy. It feels like home when you stay here. It's very good, very good!

I went to Mayu Island with my two families and chose this beachfront homestay online. The overall design style is simple and elegant, with white as the main color. The overall configuration of the room also makes people feel comfortable, clean and tidy. The room faces the sea and has a wide view. The waiter was very enthusiastic and helped us deliver our luggage to the room. After checking in, he also gave us a bottle of champagne for free. The breakfast was very delicate. Finally, thank you to the hotel's housekeeper Wu Zhongpeng and Xiaohei for enthusiastically helping us make exquisite photo frames, which added wonderful memories to our trip!

It is an old parent-child hotel. It is very good in terms of service and parent-child activity design! During this National Day, where everyone is everywhere, it makes walking the baby easy and not wasteful! The overall style of the hotel room is old-fashioned Nanyang style. It is a bit old but the hygiene is still relatively clean and tidy. The breakfast variety is a bit less. It is relatively simple. It is recommended to add more choices in the future. The service is still very satisfactory. During the day, the hotel designs various parent-child activities. Children participate. Very strong feeling, I also got water guns and sand digging toys, and then played crazy in the water park next to it for an afternoon. Hotel guests can enter and exit unlimited times. In general, the hotel is still very cost-effective. It is worth staying.

This hotel was originally the reception hotel of the Shantou Municipal Government, and it was not open to the public before. This time when I came to Shantou for business, my cousin moved into his new house in Beishan Bay, so he introduced us to live in this government hotel near his home. So I canceled the hotel I originally booked in the urban area and booked here instead. After staying here, I feel that it is worth it. The hotel is very new, with complete facilities, and there is a lot of space for walking and viewing.

The overall service of the hotel is very good! I'm a very picky person and it felt very well done! The service at the front desk is warm, drinking water, snacks, Xi'an Beifeng sour plum soup are placed in the room. These details are inspiring! The overall feeling is five stars!

My wife brought her mother-in-law back to China for a trip. When they visited Chaoshan, they decided to stay one more day. She hurriedly asked me to help them find a hotel. Fortunately, we found the Melco Crowne Plaza Hotel. She was very satisfied with the accommodation environment, which she has always been very picky about! She praised me for being more and more competent! They said that the hotel was clean, hygienic and classy, ​​not far from the city and attractions, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters, and the air was fresh, comparable to New Zealand! There is also a ceramic art museum hidden in the hotel! It sounds very suitable for taking children to play. We decided to go to Chaoshan again as a family during the Christmas holiday next year! We will stay here again!

During the Spring Festival, in order to avoid the ridiculously expensive and poorly rated hotels in the city, I found this hotel far from the city center. The surrounding environment is dirty and dilapidated, not like a city at all. The more unexpected gain was that I ate authentic Chaoshan beef hotpot and saw the ancient houses in the Chaoshan area. The breakfast was too bad, hard to describe. I clearly booked a room with breakfast, but the front desk noted that it was not available. The person in charge of the restaurant came to charge for it and had to show the order. Later, when I checked out, I reported this to the front desk. The front desk clerk asked if there was any additional charge, and said it was fine. I was speechless!

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

The room design has some problems. First, the bedside table is too far inside and you can't get things on the bed after putting them. There is no socket at the bedside, so you can only charge your phone at the edge of the window, which is very inconvenient. There are only two charging sockets. If you charge both, you can't boil water. The hair dryer is super hard to find. I searched the whole cabinet before I found it. It should be pasted with a reminder sign or placed in an obvious place. And I didn't see the socket in the cabinet until I put the hair dryer back after blowing my hair. The design is very unreasonable. The formaldehyde removal effect of the hotel needs to be improved. There is a slight pungent smell when you enter the door. The glass of the bathroom and toilet is very transparent and there is no curtain. This design is also unreasonable. There is no privacy at all. The wash basin is too narrow, it is easy to splash water when washing hands, there is no place to put makeup, the mirror is too far away in a straight line, and it is inconvenient to look from the side. In general, this hotel is not recommended.
