The hotel has a very good environment. It is about five kilometers away from the city and more than 2 kilometers away from Songzanlin Temple. Parking is very convenient. The room is very good, complete facilities, clean and tidy. The bathroom has a bathtub and separate shower, with wet and dry separation. The quilt was very thick, and it was so hot that I couldn't sleep. Since there was no blanket, I had to make do with it. I didn't realize the quilt was thick until I fell asleep in the early morning, so I didn't ask the front desk if I could change the quilt. It was a fly in the ointment. There are many varieties of breakfast, the taste is good, the attitude of the waiters is very good, overall I am very satisfied!

Very nice place, the room is big, The bed very comfortable and the shower works perfectly. The bathroom was clean but some hair on the floor, but overall okay. The location was great, no noisy at all and a lot of restaurants nearby. We had a late checkout and they stored our luggage while we were waiting for our flight at night. Shangri-la was amazing! Thank you

The inn is right next to the north gate of the ancient city. The room facilities and environment are really good, which soothed my tired soul after hiking back from Yubeng. The bathroom is very clean, the water pressure is sufficient, and the floor heating is warm, so you won't feel cold after taking a shower. There are also makeup remover towels and compressed towels next to the sink, which is really considerate. I will stay here again next time I come to Shangri-La.

I highly recommend this inn. The owner of the inn is very nice and enthusiastic, and the service is very good. He also reminded us of some things to pay attention to on the first day we arrived. After going out for a while, we felt there were signs of a cold. The owner also prepared cold medicine and room facilities. The equipment is very good. You can see the obvious buildings in the city center from the window of the room. The room has floor heating and it is not far from Moonlight Plaza.

In the morning, the boss will make butter tea and highland barley cakes for everyone, which are much more delicious than those sold in the ancient city. I'm a very picky sleeper, and this was the first night in four days that I was able to fall asleep for more than three hours. There is floor heating and a humidifier, it is not noisy at night, the bedding is clean and comfortable, and it is cleaned very well.

Checking in during the off-season, we seemed to be the only group of guests in the hotel. The surrounding area was very quiet, the room facilities were complete, and the stay was very comfortable. You could see the Moonlight City from the room. The car can drive directly to the door, no need to drag luggage. The hotel staff are very polite and respond immediately to everything you need. They greet you every day when you come in and out🥰The hotel is also in a very good location. It is also a short walking distance from the prayer wheel to Aoki Kitchen.

CCici-guaiThis is a newly opened B&B. The owner is very welcoming. There is floor heating in the room, so you don’t have to worry about being cold at night. The location is right next to the ancient city, and it only takes about seven or eight minutes to walk to the ancient city.

TthewandercuratorWe chose this hotel for its new and modern rooms kitted with oxygen supply. We were pleased with the welcome drinks and fresh towels upon arrival. We loved our room, which included a comfortable bed, open concept bathroom with strong shower pressure, choice of designer toiletries, automated oxygen supply after 630pm to help with the high altitude, a 100 inch Xiaomi TV and quality tea minibar snacks in the room lounge area. We wished we could have a better view than the building next door but this is a small issue as we were out most of the time. We enjoyed the good night dessert left in our room every night, and we had ample ******* breakfast every morning, which kept us energised till afternoon. (You can also choose Chinese and Western breakfast.) The hotel provides free bottled water in the lobby, convenient before stepping out or returning from a long day. We thought there was a butler service to help with maps, travel information, transportation or tours in and around Shangri-La but maybe we were mistaken. The two female reception staff and concierge were friendly and helpful in answering our questions but they were also busy doubling up as room and breakfast service staff. Despite this, they did a good job of tending to many guests. Location of the hotel is outside of the old town. We have to take a 12-15 minute walk along a side road and cross an avenue to get to the bridge that leads you to the entrance of the old town. Not to worry, if you do not wish to walk to town (or walk back at night), taxis or DiDi aren't expensive. We would still recommend the hotel for its great value.

GGuest UserSuch a cute place in a beautiful location! The owner’s are very very sweet and welcoming.
The room I was staying in was nice and cozy. In the day time I could soak in sunlight while looking out on the mountains, at night time I got warm from the AC and warm blankets. In the common room they also have a traditional fire oven where you can sit at get warm while trying some of their local foods and chit chat.
Just staying in this nice environment made the trip so amazing. I hope I can come back soon again.

GGuest UserThe staff at this home stay is some of the most exceptional and professional I’ve encountered in all my years of travel around the world (special shout-out to 小宋！）We were booked for 2 nights and our group of 3 was generously given an upgraded room. From the moment we checked in, 小宋 and his team were eager to assist with questions, recommendations and helping to arrange and set up itineraries for our stay. Sadly, on my second day, I became severely sick with altitude sickness and 小宋 came to my assistance immediately- checking my oxygen levels and setting me up to the oxygen machine in the room. He handled the entire situation with such kindness, compassion, composure and professionalism that I’m still blown away. He helped my family members find medicine for me and offered his advise and guidance while making them feel assured at what should’ve been quite a scary situation. When we decided it was best to leave Shangri la as soon as possible for lower elevations in Lijiang, 小宋 sprang into action to find us a carpool that was leaving within the hour and also took the initiative to help make sure we were refunded for our second night booked on a third party site. I can’t thank him enough and I will 100% recommend this hotel and this team to everyone I know that’s traveling to Yunnan. I truly hope to be able to return myself under better conditions. Even more so, the hotel also happens to be incredibly designed and beautiful with smart tech features in the rooms. When I booked, I thought it was a cool feature that they have oxygen machines inside each room, but who would’ve known that it would prove to be a lifesaver for me 😅

BBrownI have stayed in many hotels in Shangrila old town over the past 12 years so have a little experience. Location: Close to the top dancing square but at the top of a very steep hill. It had rained so the stone street was VERY slippery. It is close to impossible to walk up the hill with suitcase. There is a 1/2 meter wide ***** of carpet that was laid down on the right side of the road going up the hill. It gave great traction, but unfortunately some non-thinking person had parked their electric cart directly on top of the carpet so you could not navigate it. I arrived at 6 PM and that electric cart was still sitting on the carpet in the same place the next morning at 9 AM. Trying to walk around the electric cart , but I did slip and fell to the ground. I would not come back to this hotel again, if there was any potential for any rain. The picture is of the morning after the rain had dried. When I booked my room, they did tell me that there was only one room remaining and it was for four people. I was solo but I booked it anyway. Unfortunately, I did not understand that there are four beds that are actually side-by-side touching each other. They are very very thin pads laid on top of a wooden platform. No way to get into or out of any bed without crawling back to the foot of the bed and going over the edge that way. It was the hardest sleeping service I have ever been on and got very little sleep. If I had my sleeping bag and camping mattress, I would’ve just slept on the floor. Won’t be back here again. The service people at the hotel were very nice. Offered to carry my bag up to my room on the third floor and the woman who provided the breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. Have no complain about the service just the beds in the access to the hotel. If it’s raining, make it a no go for me

Hhee senunique, excellent service, location, meals and room.
Owner couple went out of their way to serve guests. They cooked the best meal in the area so no need to find food elsewhere.
They arranged transport for us to go to Shangrila, Lijian Airport and the hiking trails.
We were also invited to a wedding party in the Village high up i the mountain. Joyous celebration of dance and song with the whole village.
our last day was the special day where the villagers slaughter their own pigs to make preserved meat. We were again invited to the farms high up in the mountain and had a most unique experience of live pig slaughtering and BBQ. No tour will ever offer this.
As hotel, the accommodation is excellent for the price. Our room overlooks the gorge and mountain. The heated bed is great touch and comfort.
Can see stars in the sky at night from the room balcony.
Family run and treat guests like family. Highly recommended.

MMUHAMAD AKMALHad a pleasant stay at this hotel. For the rate that we paid which included the railway pick up and breakfast, we have no complaint at all. On top of that, as we arrived earlier than the usual check in time, the hotel was gracious enough to allow us for early check in. It was a short drive from the railway station to the hotel. The communications were done via wechat and it was all smooth as we can communicate using the wechat translator.
Our room were located on the third floor. It was steep stairs but we managed. The room was spacious enough for both of us. It has all the basic necessities and clean. There was also heated bed which was good as it was cold in Shangrila. The hotel also have luggage storage after check out which was good as we could continue exploring the city until it was time to take our train in the late afternoon. As for the breakfast, it was served at a diner across the street. There were mutliple set breakfast choices. Simple breakfast but technically it was enough for us as we dont have much option anyway as a muslim with specific food requirement. Croissant, eggs and fruits were good enough with tea and coffee.
The location of the hotel is really near to the Dukezong Ancient Town. Less than 5 minutes walk. It was rather convenient as we went back to the ancient town at the night time and has no trouble to find our way back to the hotel by foot. Also it is easy to get public transport at the area.
The hotel really looks photogenic ni the pictures especially at night time when all the lights were on.

DdenenaTea Horse Guest House is a beautiful place to stay if you’re hiking on the Tiger Leaping Gorge Trail. They have a coffee shop with large outdoor deck that offers a spectacular view of the mountains. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms with shared bathroom on the other side of the parking lot. It was rustic, but they had electric blankets that kept us toasty. It’s a great place. I highly recommend it.

Parking is available at the door, which is very convenient and convenient for travel. The guy in the store is very friendly and enthusiastic. I will choose this place again when I come to Shangri-La in the future!

NNinoPThe location is very convenient and the whole place looks like an old Tibetan inn. The employees were very friendly and helped us. The room was spacious and traditional. However the reason I won’t give it a 5 star review is because it wasn’t clean enough and the shower door was broken, resulting in a lot of water going out of the shower. I think for the price it ought to be a bit cleaner and well maintained .
