Really beautiful hotel! The rooms are designed very nicely and are comfortable and spacious as well. Despite the cold outside, the room was very warm because of the floor heating etc. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The breakfast is great and plentiful. The location is wonderful, right next to the monastery. The village itself is very quiet and rural, great if you prefer to stay outside of the busy ancient town of Shangri La.

At check in the staff didn’t seem to k ow which room I booked. They were friend but seemed to not be organized. The room doesn’t get serviced. No staff seem to be around at any point, except night time. Hot water takes several minutes to come out.
Room is large and the bed is ok. Can suggest for people who are not interested in dining at the hotel. Great place to earn just down the road towards the palace.

I found that it felt like a visit when I checked in. The aunt treated us to butter tea, barley cakes, milk with thick milk skin, and rice noodles and roasted bait! The cow cat Huahua was super cute and kept licking my legs!
Today, the aunt took us out to play. We went through various places in the village, and we didn’t have to squeeze with the crowd. We didn’t have to climb more than 100 high steps of Songzanlin Temple. We drove directly to the back door and entered Songzanlin Temple in a few steps! This alone must be given a hundred praises for our brittle constitution with severe altitude sickness!
The stove in the public area can be used to roast fire, drink butter tea and tease the cat Huahua! There is floor heating in the room, and it is super large. The bedding is comfortable and clean, and the bathroom is also super large!
