In addition: You need to buy tickets to enter the hotel in the scenic area. You can buy a package ticket directly from the boss. You can call Didi in advance when leaving the hotel. Generally, there will be Didi to send guests to Songzan Linka Hotel. If you are lucky, you can call it on the return trip~

Better than expected stay.
Location is 15mins drive out of ShangriLa city centre, which I prefer for the quietness. But don't stay if you prefer convenience.
View is superb, overlooking napa sea.
Service is warm and attentive, very helpful boss and staff to carry bags ups and downs.
Food is above average given the inconvenient location.
Room amenities are of good standard (again given the location), but some bits and pieces to improve. Especially for the toilet area - a toilet roll holder would be nice. Oxygen is released overnight.

It is what a good hotel should be like. The room is clean and the bedding is impeccable. The water temperature is suitable and they thoughtfully inform you that bathing in plateau areas should not take more than 10 minutes. The front desk staff are also very nice. The breakfast at Shangri-La is also rich and delicious.
The key point is that you can tell from the name that the room can supply oxygen (you need to contact the front desk for oxygen supply service). You can go hiking at night without worry. You don’t have to worry about high reflexes. Anyway, you can breathe oxygen while lying on your own bed, so you have peace of mind😼

The hotel is more than 1 km away from the ancient city, and a taxi costs about 10 yuan. The scenery of Shangri-La is beautiful in spring, and there are cherry blossoms in the ancient city. There is a small town of Shambhala near the hotel, which is a local park and is quite large. The scenery inside is also very beautiful. Went to play with the kids! When you come to Shangri-La, you must go to the ancient city to take a photo of a Tibetan outfit. It’s really beautiful! The hotel is cost-effective, the bedding is comfortable, and hot water and air conditioning are all available!

My mother, who has mysophobia, is very satisfied. The washbasin is the most child-friendly among all the hotels I stayed in. The height is just right!
At night, I had a little altitude sickness. I quickly turned on oxygen. I got up the next morning and it was fine.

For a family trip, we booked three rooms, two standard rooms and one double room. We stayed here for 3 nights and overall I was very satisfied.
Facilities: Very new, with floor heating, bathrooms with dry and wet separations, electric toilets, and an oxygen machine (although it’s useless haha)
The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep every night.
Environment: Inside Dukezong Ancient City, the location is very good. Although the sign on the facade is a bit small, there is something special when you enter. You can also see the tower opposite from the balcony.
Service: The boss and the landlady are very enthusiastic and responsive to all requests.
Hygiene: Clean, there is no dust on the table, the decoration is modern and simple, and it is very comfortable visually.
The only drawback is that the breakfast is a bit simple, with only highland barley cakes and egg and soy milk porridge. However, it is understandable that cooking on the plateau is inconvenient, so it is no problem to eat full.

I had such a great stay at Lanyun Inn. Upon arriving at this quiet and comfortable Inn, I was immediately impressed by how spacious and inviting my room was. It came with heated floors, a comfortable bed, hot water, great wifi, and very convenient location. I got the best sleep here throughout my entire stay in China.
I'm not sure if the girl working the front desk is the owner or not, but she is so nice. She helped me bring my bags to my room, answered any questions I had, and took me to the airport at 6am - no questions asked! I have to say the hospitality at Lanyun Inn is some of the best I've come across throughout my travels.
Thank you so much for making my stay so great and I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel environment was excellent, good place to chill and rest. The location is near to old town (walking distance), train station and few popular tourist spots. Great GH on the hiking trail in Tigerleaping gorge. We had so much fun with the Korean travel group and the spontaneous flute concert!
Rooms are clean, food was good and all staff was very nice.
Communication in English was also very good and helpful.
The GH is clearly marked on the treck and easy to find
For those who want to hike the upper treck (highly recommended!) try to arrange transport directly to the 28bends (28拐 / er shi ba guai). We took the shuttle bus to the tiger leaping gorge scenic spot but it drops you off at a big viewing platform on the street and far from the hiking trail. We ended up walking by the street and getting a ride with a local woman passing us

CCici-guaiThis is a newly opened B&B. The owner is very welcoming. There is floor heating in the room, so you don’t have to worry about being cold at night. The location is right next to the ancient city, and it only takes about seven or eight minutes to walk to the ancient city.

TthewandercuratorWe chose this hotel for its new and modern rooms kitted with oxygen supply. We were pleased with the welcome drinks and fresh towels upon arrival. We loved our room, which included a comfortable bed, open concept bathroom with strong shower pressure, choice of designer toiletries, automated oxygen supply after 630pm to help with the high altitude, a 100 inch Xiaomi TV and quality tea minibar snacks in the room lounge area. We wished we could have a better view than the building next door but this is a small issue as we were out most of the time. We enjoyed the good night dessert left in our room every night, and we had ample ******* breakfast every morning, which kept us energised till afternoon. (You can also choose Chinese and Western breakfast.) The hotel provides free bottled water in the lobby, convenient before stepping out or returning from a long day. We thought there was a butler service to help with maps, travel information, transportation or tours in and around Shangri-La but maybe we were mistaken. The two female reception staff and concierge were friendly and helpful in answering our questions but they were also busy doubling up as room and breakfast service staff. Despite this, they did a good job of tending to many guests. Location of the hotel is outside of the old town. We have to take a 12-15 minute walk along a side road and cross an avenue to get to the bridge that leads you to the entrance of the old town. Not to worry, if you do not wish to walk to town (or walk back at night), taxis or DiDi aren't expensive. We would still recommend the hotel for its great value.

GGuest UserThis B&B must be ranked number one in Tiger Leaping Gorge! I looked at a lot about the accommodation environment and took a quick look at it. Sure enough, there is no seller’s show or buyer’s show. It can be said that the pictures are not as beautiful as the real scene! The two bosses are very down-to-earth people. It can be said that they are working very hard on this B&B. Unfortunately, they don’t know how to market it and have too little exposure. But consumers must tell the truth. It’s really great. The food, accommodation and transportation services are not even mentioned! I met many like-minded friends here. It was a very happy trip. I will come again if I have the opportunity!

Guesthouse is located in a busy main road and short walking distance into ancient town.
Staffs were helpful & friendy. There are some minor issues within the rooms, but they were quick enough to resolve it.
All rooms was clean and spacious for 2. The room supplied oxygen all the day and heating floor is another plus.
Breakfast was the same during our stay.

Hhee senunique, excellent service, location, meals and room.
Owner couple went out of their way to serve guests. They cooked the best meal in the area so no need to find food elsewhere.
They arranged transport for us to go to Shangrila, Lijian Airport and the hiking trails.
We were also invited to a wedding party in the Village high up i the mountain. Joyous celebration of dance and song with the whole village.
our last day was the special day where the villagers slaughter their own pigs to make preserved meat. We were again invited to the farms high up in the mountain and had a most unique experience of live pig slaughtering and BBQ. No tour will ever offer this.
As hotel, the accommodation is excellent for the price. Our room overlooks the gorge and mountain. The heated bed is great touch and comfort.
Can see stars in the sky at night from the room balcony.
Family run and treat guests like family. Highly recommended.

BBrownI have stayed in many hotels in Shangrila old town over the past 12 years so have a little experience. Location: Close to the top dancing square but at the top of a very steep hill. It had rained so the stone street was VERY slippery. It is close to impossible to walk up the hill with suitcase. There is a 1/2 meter wide ***** of carpet that was laid down on the right side of the road going up the hill. It gave great traction, but unfortunately some non-thinking person had parked their electric cart directly on top of the carpet so you could not navigate it. I arrived at 6 PM and that electric cart was still sitting on the carpet in the same place the next morning at 9 AM. Trying to walk around the electric cart , but I did slip and fell to the ground. I would not come back to this hotel again, if there was any potential for any rain. The picture is of the morning after the rain had dried. When I booked my room, they did tell me that there was only one room remaining and it was for four people. I was solo but I booked it anyway. Unfortunately, I did not understand that there are four beds that are actually side-by-side touching each other. They are very very thin pads laid on top of a wooden platform. No way to get into or out of any bed without crawling back to the foot of the bed and going over the edge that way. It was the hardest sleeping service I have ever been on and got very little sleep. If I had my sleeping bag and camping mattress, I would’ve just slept on the floor. Won’t be back here again. The service people at the hotel were very nice. Offered to carry my bag up to my room on the third floor and the woman who provided the breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. Have no complain about the service just the beds in the access to the hotel. If it’s raining, make it a no go for me

Pplushparadisetea horse guest house is one of the main check points along the trek, and has a viewing deck (with bar) where you can get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views of the mountain. the location is superb, and is the perfect spot to stop at if you are doing a 2D1N hike. sit outside of your room and look at the stars at night.
as the area is being developed to accommodate more tourist, you’d notice lots of construction going on…
amenities are super basic, soap shampoo is provided in sachets and the en-suite rooms have wet toilets (open shower and toilet without partitions). food here is basic, nothing to shout about. my stir fried vegetables came swimming in oil… which i learnt is just how the people in this area cook their food.
you can scribble your signature on the walls floors chairs furniture etc as a momento… but the scribbling was too overwhelming for my liking.
consider this location for the heritage (being the middle point of the entire tea horse route)… and for the views. even the shared toilets have a view!

FFindingFlowWe loved the ******* immersion. From the entrance / restaurant / large room! Location was good enough to explore landmarks in the area and is only 10-15 mins Didi ride to the famous monastery as well as Napa Sea. The manager was very helpful and attentive, allowed us to wash and dry our hiking gear. Very “Home” style. The round bed was a little small (so if you’re like me 6’3, you’ll have to sleep literally in the middle or side on). The power also kept resetting after midnight / early morning which was weird but probably for saving power. But for the price and space / traditional top furniture, bathroom heaters etc, definitely 100% recommended and well worth it. We were out most of the time and checked out at 7:30am so didn’t need a view / breakfast etc
