Hotels near Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai

We stayed there 2 nights, first night there was a very bad smell from the bathroom, we complained the day after and service people upgraded us for a suite for the second night.overall is a nice hotel that has space for kids , like the nice playground at the 4th floor. Located just near the century park , it’s quite pleasant to walk around even with small kids.

Finally found a relatively quiet hotel near Century Park! Stayed in a Premier room (with windows onto the central circular courtyard) which was almost like a small suite. The biggest advantage we found over the neighbouring Kerry Hotel was that there was much less disruption of our sleep by neighbouring customers letting doors slam, when we were trying to get much-needed sleep after travelling. The room wasn't very modern, very much an older 'angular dark wood surfaces, no carpet' style, but was very clean and comfortable nonetheless and the AC worked just fine. Was encouraged to see other non-Chinese staying at the hotel. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable number of Western options. We initially found it quite difficult to get the extra pillows we requested, but our persistence paid off. The English comprehension level of the desk staff generally was only moderate, but the concierge and the lady running the excellent hotel gym understood us perfectly.

This hotel is close to the convention centre and is easily walkable. The room was quite small as can be expected. The room itself was clean and well presented. The area is nice and quiet. There are a few restaurants on the same street as the hotel and a grocery shop. There are some more good restaurants a ten minute walk away. The staff were helpful, they didn't speak much English but with translator apps we got on fine.

Stayed in room 301 and i am told it is considered a ”big” room, but i would say it is good enough for a tight fit. And because i am there to attend the furniture fair, the leisurely stroll to and from the fairgrounds is as good as it gets. Hotel is hampered by it small size, wish they can acquire the next door and expand, as i surely feel they can fill all the rooms easily in view of their fantastic location. And if they can have a in-house kitchen for breakfast, that would be really great.

To find the reception is bit tricky. You need to use lifts with really dirty carpets with Intercity logo. Check in process was ok and then next lift to the rooms with the same very dirty carpets (I am asking myself, why designers are using carpets in the areas where it is difficult to maintain them). Although I got non-smoking room there was smell of cigarettes in the room. Room was changed by reception team pretty quick and next room was not so smelly. I have used as well washing machine , drying and ironing which was ok (note one machine is manageable only by app, so in case you do not speak Chinese, you will be lost as me.

I was looking for a hotel near Longyang Rd Maglev station so that I could easily get to Pudong International Airport. This hotel ticks many boxes: — Proximity to Shanghai Metro station (Lines 2, 7, 18) — Proximity to Longyang Rd Maglev station — Proximity to huge variety of food for dinner — Easy (step free but with escalators) access to all modes of transport — Late check-out option (2pm) — Not too expensive So I’m glad I found Autoongo Hotel Shanghai (New International Expo Center Longyang Road Subway Station)!

Excellent location - it is close to the entrance 17 of Longyang Rd subway and within walking distance of maglev. The room is much more spacious and superior than the pictures. They have complimentary congee at night, even though we missed it since we had a big dinner. The staff was very helpful too. Overall it was a great stay.

We booked 2 King Bed rooms and were assigned to 1 room with 2 separated rooms and 2 separated washrooms, however that assigned room was molded on the walls as well as the wooden construction which are close to the window. So we requested to change room, eventually the re-assigned 2 rooms are ok, brighter, cleaner. Walls and door are thin, I could hear people talk , people close their doors at night and snores in the morning... Breakfast was good but there were not many tables available, I wasn't directed to a table to sit and have to find table on my own. I waited a while for a table. Direction to shuttle bus to Expo was not clear, have to ask staff in order to find the location.

My room was meticulously clean, from the sparkling bathroom to the dust-free surfaces. The attention to detail was evident, and it was clear that the hotel takes pride in providing a hygienic and comfortable environment for its guests. The public areas of the hotel, including the lobby, corridors, and dining areas, were equally well-maintained. The elevators and common touchpoints were regularly sanitized, contributing to a safe and reassuring environment, especially in the current climate where health and cleanliness are top priorities. Additionally, the hotel's breakfast area deserves a special mention. The spread was not only varied and delicious but also presented in a clean and attractive manner. The staff in the dining area were vigilant about sanitizing tables between guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience. Super excellent breakfast and super nice services for 24 hours. Always willing to help and so welcoming. Would come back again !!!!
