A little shabby but that’s fine, as the room was justifiable clean and location was good. Service was great too! I required help for the wifi & carrying of luggage on different days, and I was promptly assisted for both.

I was positively surprised by this hotel. I stayed here for two nights during my visit to Shanghai over a weekend. The location is absolutely perfect in the heart of Shanghai, the rooms have a good size with large bathrooms (at least my room did). Cleanliness level was also very high. I have nothing negative to say about my stay here and I would definitely consider to book this hotel again in the future. Check-in procedure for foreign travelers is also smooth.

The room is next to Lin Fengmian's former residence. It looks ordinary from the outside, and the passage is even a little old and messy. But if you push open the white wooden door with glass, a cute little courtyard will appear in front of you, and the tall arched door on the left is the homestay Guanxinshe! The decoration in the room is very old Shanghai style, and the supplies are also very exquisite and complete (for example, tea sets, microwave ovens, and kettles are all bright red). The walls of the bathroom are made up of a variety of flower tiles, which is very stylish. When you go out, you will see Nanchang Road and Sinan Road, which are full of cultural and artistic talents and tung trees. Turning a corner is Huaihai Middle Road, which is very convenient for eating, shopping and taking taxis. The quality of the bedding is also very good, and the sleep quality is very good. There is a little noise from people walking upstairs, but it doesn't affect it much.

I have a good experience staying at the hotel, the staff are helpful and the room is clean, though I stayed there for 1 night only. The gym is fantastic, it has lots of facilities. I wish I could stay longer.

This is a hidden gem in Shanghai, considering the price and all the perks. Very comfy bed, nice size room, bath robes, free popcorn and assortment of soft drinks, nice projector and sound system, nice staff, and even electronic toilet. Will definitely be on my radar when I visit Shanghai again.

We had a wonderful experience with the Guisu property for an 8-day stay. For a group of 5, this was much more convenient and cost-effective than having to book separate hotel rooms. I booked this room for my family, who was visiting China for the first time. Communicating with the host was very easy, and they responded very fast to any inquiry, sending over items, such as house slippers, within minutes upon request. Our communication was all in Chinese, so it may be helpful to have someone familiar with the language. What my family liked most about Guisu was that they felt like they were immersed in the city, experiencing the real life of a Chinese neighborhood, which a hotel may not be able to provide. The property was next to an elementary school, and while we were woken up each day by the sound of the children, it was nevertheless a pleasant, authentic, experience. The amenities and facilities all worked well, and the kitchen is stocked with dishes and utensils. Even if you are not cooking yourself, it is convenient to have all of this on hand. I would certainly recommend Guisu Homestay to other friends visiting Shanghai. The location near West Nanjing Road made it easy to walk everywhere, such as to People's Square or nearby parks. It is also close enough to the metro station, for a quick ride to other popular areas or train stations.

Very convenient location. On a street that always has bikes, very close to Nanjing West station. Reception service is amazing and people are very nice. Clean and good amenities. Price to performance ratio is good, especially for the higher prices in Shanghai. Will come here again the next time I visit.

The first time I came to Shanghai, I booked the Atour Hotel on Jing'an Temple West Road. The hotel is in the city and the location is very convenient. There are many restaurants and shopping malls around. It's the starting price to take a taxi to the Natural History Museum. I like the hotel environment very much. The new Chinese style, the basic black and white gray color matching is very advanced, and there is a faint fragrance when entering the lobby, which is a very comfortable fragrance. The staff is very warm and friendly. We went out to play and ended up washing our socks. The front desk was very considerate to find a pair of socks for us. The takeaway was delivered by a robot, and the clothes were washed by an auntie, which was very considerate and thoughtful. The most worth mentioning is Atour, which has lived in Chengdu, Tianjin, and Ulanqab. After walking through several cities, Atour's bedding has always been very satisfactory. The pillows at home have been replaced with the same ones, and the mattress is also soft and hard, which is very stress-relieving. This trip to Shanghai was very hurried, but I was very happy and satisfied to meet Atour!

Great location, right next to Jing an Kerry centre and many shopping malls within 10 mins walking distance from the hotel. Absolutely love the room and toilet , it was clean and spacious! Asked for a late checkout and Eileen the reception staff gladly helped me! Awesome service and would definitely come back again!

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.
