It was a great choice — a very quiet place with beautiful scenery, which was amazing for pictures, and featured traditional Chinese architecture. It’s about 30 minutes from the city and very close to the metro station (Easy Huanxia Road); the hotel is right across the street from the metro exit.

Stunning buildings and gardens.
Great value, breakfast, plenty of variety.
Close to metro.
Great location for disneyland, the bund and sightseeing and the airport.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had an electrical fault with our room lights on our second night, and they switched our room straight away to avoid us being inconvenienced.
Not a lot of English, but alipay Translate was very handy.
Free mini bar was only small and is not replenished daily
2 cokes, 2 juices, and a few chocs.
But it was a nice little treat.
Welcome fruit included Apple, mangerine , pear and some tomatoes.
It was strange to us that it included several small tomatoes.

The royal garden hotel is magnificent!
This is a very beautifull hotel both inside and out.
Close to the metro and Disney. Visually the best hotel I have ever seen in my life.
The service was also really good, we only spent 1 night so cannot give a more detailed review of amenities.
I would absolutely recommend staying here

The pictures don’t do this hotel justice. Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms and the grounds are so beautiful and peaceful! We went to visit Disneyland, but I would have been perfectly happy staying at the hotel the whole time if you want to relax. Staff was wonderful and very helpful in answering all questions. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a wide variety of options, and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful exterior and large modern rooms. The swimming pool is not at all like in the photos, the pool showers stink of urine and the sauna stinks of old sweat. We love to swim and booked the hotel partially because of the pool but we gave up swimming completely, as it was really disgusting.
The ventilation system is also badly planned, cigarette smoke comes into the rooms when people smoke outside. And even the airport shuttle was crazy stinky with cigarette smoke. And nobody speaks a word of English...

Managed to check in early but the room was not ready when we entered, first impression was pretty bad as trash from previous occupier is still all around the room. Left the room to leave it for housekeeping after that, not too bad after we return. Concierge is very helpful with the requests we have and provide shuttle service to Disneyland, very convenient.
