Not as good as expected! This must have been a very nice hotel once but in person everything, especially the bathroom, looks quite old and used.
Despite hanging the "do not disturb" sign on the door, the cleaning personel would knock every morning asking whether they should clean the room. Furthermore there was a construction site right outside the window, where they started making loud noises every day starting from 7:00, including weekends.
Otherwise it was alright, seemed clean and comfortable. Location is good, the lobby is quite nice.

The hotel is in a good location ,near the people square station .The bedroom and bathroom are nice.I would stay there again.

Avoid this place even if it’s cheaper, not a good one for a first timer in Shanghai.
Don’t reccomend at all to stay in this hostel. It is sad for me to say this but they need to improve a lot of things.
Rooms are not clean. Lot of hairs, nails and dust in the bed. Huge probability of hosting bed bugs.
Shower with plenty of molds, with no higienic measures.
Doesn’t transmit safety feelings.

The hostel was clean and the room fulfilled all the expectations. There was free shampoo and body wash and also toothbrushes and toothpaste. The location is super central and the service was very fast and polite. I would go there again and also recommend it to anybody else.

if you are a solo traveler and don’t want to spend much money on hotels, shared room in this hostel is good alternative for budget travelers

Decent hostel for a short stay in Shanghai. Not much of an atmosphere in the common area but unsure if this is a cultural difference! Not too far from train station and food street and peoples park, quite central in terms of location :)

The location is good as it is very close to the hop on hop of bus stop, people square, Nanjing road etc.
The hotel service, the front desk and Ayi is very helpful, and friendly.
I recommend that the hotel pays better attention to cleanliness. There's only one ayi and she has to clean all the rooms. Thus she can't pay attention to details.
