It was a clean, silent, comfortable room. Restaurant fodd was nice, free coffee machine and fee playground for kids. About 500meters or few minutes walk from metro station, which is line to Disneyland, but the hotel itself serves a free bus to Disneyland. We took the bus to Disneyland, but I thought the metro station Disneyland is nearer than then the bus stop from the main entrance to Disneyland. So you should check distances to avoid walking back to bus stop when you or your kids are tired playing all day.
They also offer bus to 2 airports and the shanghai tourism center,

Great location for those who like to stay close to Disney Shanghai, walkable distance to subway. Hotel provides pick up and drop off at Disney, Pudong Airport, Hongqiao train station, and The Bund. Very convenient. Also, have a foot bucket and foot tea bag, perfect for the tired day after Disney

The hotel location is near to Shanghai Disneyland and the hotel provided shuttle bus to Disneyland, The Bund & airport as well.
I think the hotel need to add earlier shuttle to airport because the earlier timing now is 7am.
The hotel is kids friendly with some activities provided for free.

Check in was efficient. Room was spacious and very clean. We particularly liked the efficient shuttle service to and from disneyland. We didn’t have to wait long for a bus.

A very satisfied customer! There is a wechat group concierge that responds to your requests and demand on all queries with very prompt response. Free shuttle to Disneyland / Disneytown, airport and Shanghai city daily. The staff are all helpful and good service. Room is spacious and comfortable.

Came for 2 nights stay, in Dec for Disneyland. The room doesn’t have air conditioning but only have warmer. The room is quite warm during the day time. The hotel surrounding has nothing much, need to order food via delivery.

We are super happy to have booked this hotel! It has free shuttle service to and from the airport, Disneyland Resort and the city centre. It's super convenient. The room is big and clean. The housekeeping is really helpful and friendly. Every day, we went back to our room, and they helped us tidy the room. They have a children playground in the hotel. It's a family-friendly hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there.

I had a good experience at Holiday Inn Shanghai! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a seamless check-in and stay. My room was modern, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for comfort. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation.

The bed sheets are not clean. The housekeeping is not thorough. Our used cups and glasses are not washed up. However the (1) shuttle bus from Train station to Hotel , (2) shuttle bus from hotel to Disneyland and back to hotel , (3) shuttle bus from hotel to the Bund , (4) shuttle bus from hotel to the airport has made this hotel stay very hassle-free. We do not need to worry for our commuting to attractions. The family mart next to the hotel also supply us with useful bread/noodles . The hotel is also 10 mins walk from from the metro station.

The service is superb.
I had difficulties booking tickets to an attraction, but the Chief Concierge personally contacted the person to get me the tickets.
All the other staff were helpful. Housekeeping too, always ready to help wherever we need.
To note, there is no self-service laundry available.
Buses to Disney, Airport, Train Station and even Shanghai Bund.

We had a great time staying at Novotel. The shuttle bus service was so helpful during our stay and visit to Disneyland.
There was simple supper of porridge from 9pm daily. The indoor playground was good for kids.
Daily coffee available in the lobby with snacks
We booked two family rooms but unfortunately couldn’t be on the same floor because each floor only has one family room and we had to be separated which was a little inconvenient. Other than that we had a great stay 👍

Thanks for the free upgrade to a themed room our trip started with a pleasant surprise. Breakfast has a good spread of international and Chinese choices. Staff were very prompt and helpful. A community WeChat was also set up for seamless communications and live updates on transport etc.
However, no international or free /paid digital movie channels were available. Only Chinese local channels. Room layout was not ergonomically designed to facilitate user (lack of wall hooks for hangars and no laundry line in shower rooms)
A concierge staff also spit twice on the front porch floor when guests were boarding the bus. Why?

I booked a family room for 4 nights but we decided to leave after 3 nights and forfeited the last night away cos we dont feel comfortable anymore. Before we left for disneyland on the 2nd day, we did not want anyone to enter our room while we were out so we on the DND button. You'd have thought this will be respected and abide to but no. We have the habit to on a camera in foreign countries hotel room for security issues. Thank god we did because while we were out, the staff entered our room SIX times. This was a breach of trust issue. The moment we found out when we were back to our room, we rang the concierge and asked to speak to the manager. The duty manager came up and said he will investigate and come back to us by the next evening. We agreed, and waited. No one came back to us. By the end of the 3rd night, we were done so we decided to check out next day.
This is the 1st time we encountered this and we have issues trusting the hotel. Understand the cleaner may want to clean the room but seriously 6 times in a day? We have no explanation for this. So no, hotel not recommended at all.

We should have left a guest letter in your room, which was our negligence. We explained the woman who lives with you why we entered your room 6 times when your room checked-out. It was because we cleaned it first, then the team leader checked the room, and checked the facilities in the room after, so we entered your room several times. Actually, the DND light in your room will turn off automatically after you leave the room. When you don't want us to disturb you after leaving, please hang a DND sign at the door.
