Da Zhong Airport Hotel Reviews

Decided to book the hotel at the airport for a long layover (22 hours) so that I could get to the town and catch up my morning flight. The Hotel strikes right away - there are two buildings and there are no signs (or I didn't see them) which building you need. Right at the entrance I was harassed by the "Massage saloon" that's right near the counter. Staff works very slow - they were the ones to create a queue from nothing. Maybe the girl at the counter was tired or what. Anyway - not my problem. The room was spacious but I got vibes from late 90s early 2000s - the TV and other electronics in the room are very old. The room looked like had no noise cancellation at all. You can clearly hear people coughing down below and children playing in the hallway (can't understand why there was no-one from the staff to tell them to be at least quite and stop running around). Funny thing (regarding the said above) - you don't hear the outside airport. Anyways if you need one night in comfortable bed close to the airport - I guess the hotel is ok for that. If you want a "normal" western-like hotel, then I suggest you look other way.

it is actually pretty good if you make sure to take south building rooms. it is quiet, clean and literally in airport. what else would you need from airport hotel?

Nearest to the airport within walking distance and price reasonable, nice view with airplane taking off and landing

The hotel is in an excellent location for an early flight departures. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room's cleanliness was generally acceptable, but we found the carpet was full of dust. I watched the Sunrise as soon as I opened the curtain.

After reading the bad references I have to say that I am satisfied with my stay in this hotel. My room was fine and quiet, although there is still construction at the airport. The service at the reception was ok , i took my check-in voucher from my booking in chinese written with me that makes much easier for the reception crew.

I stay here every time I have an early flight from Pudong, the convenient location just can’t be beaten. The rooms are small and pretty outdated but clean and comfortable enough. The shower is powerful and hot and the wifi works well. The check-in staff are probably the most efficient in China due to how many foreigners they deal with, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately, this particular room had a bad smell to it, like sewage, and the air conditioning wasn’t working well so the room was very hot. It’s a shame because I’ve never had any problems here before.

Great if you have an early flight from PVG. It is not very soundproof though so you hear the outside and neighbours.

Quick check in, friendly staff, convenient location, perfect for an overnight transfer

We had a early morning flight, so decided to stay at the airport for convenience. There are many things available such as foot and body massage, convenient store etc. there are multiple restaurants within the airport so we had dinner there. Overall it's quite nice and comfortable.

Nice place for stay in transit in Shanghai. No need to go to nowhere

Hotel in Airport and very near MRT 2line, but I can't use WiFi in hotel.

I was a little worried about staying as so many have given a low review. I picked it because of the excellent location in the airport. It was very easy to find. The room was clean. My only issue was the room was too warm and eventhough I turned on the aircon and opened the window the room wouldn't cool down. The beds a little on the firm side but I'm used to myi soft memory foam mattress at home so I don't think other travellers would mind. Overall I give it 4/5
