Hanting Hotel (Shanghai Meilong WanHui international square))

I booked a normal adult room. The bed was super small, like a child’s size. I asked for a room with an adult bed and they refused. After contacting trip. com customer care, they upgraded me apparently to a king size room… it was literally the same size room with a slightly longer bed, as in 10 cm about longer… with about a foot too short still. After explaining to the concierge through a translation app that I am 194 and this bed is over a foot too short… he proceeded to tell me that I must be over 2m tall as the bed is 2m…. As if I grew 3 feet in an instant. Once again I contacted the customer care and advised them of the situation, the said they will contact the hotel and sort it out. In the mean time they offered me a room and after checking, it had an actual king size bed in length and width I said I will take it. They advised me that I will need to pay extra. After an hour of back and forth I paid the fee, as I was on medication, sleepy and needed to rest for a meeting later that day. All of this beside the fact that they had renovations going on with constant noise and a super busy elevator, the staircase was peeling off in paint. The my best hotel experience.

First the good side ,the location is very near and there are a lot of food stores nearby,the service is very good it’s easy to check in and out,the breakfast is very good there are a lot of food to choose. Now the bad side,I had the room in the top floor room 8707 there’s a strange sound on the roof I couldn’t sleep all night, the door lock and the shower is broken, the bed is a Bit small and the room is a bit old, my overall stay is not so bad at all , I would recommend this hotel for a short stay only
