Atour Shanghai Animation Film Studios Hotel (Shanghai Xujiahui)

The hotel is a bit old, and you can see obvious marks on the walls and floors. The hygiene is OK. The service staff are very polite and greet people. The sound quality of the TV is not very good and it needs to be repaired. Fortunately, the bedding is comfortable, which allows me to sleep when I sleep outside with insomnia. However, the cover is a bit thin now, and the air conditioner doesn't seem to be warm enough. The self-service coffee machine and take-away cups for breakfast are very convenient to use. Overall, it's OK~

Not recommended! Poor soundproofing – definitely not recommended While the hotel staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, unfortunately this doesn't make up for the extremely poor soundproofing. I could hear everything: people on the street talking as if they were in the room, cars passing by and honking, even late-night conversations in other rooms. The walls looked like they were made of cheap cardboard and had no sound insulation at all. I was completely unable to sleep, causing me to be exhausted, wake up late, and miss most of my workday. If you value quiet, stay away from this hotel - it's really not worth the stress and frustration. Not Recommended! Terrible Sound Insulation – Cannot Recommend While the hotel staff are friendly, nice, and assistive, unfortunately, that cannot compensate for the absolutely terrible sound insulation. I could hear everything: people talking on the street as if they were in the room, cars driving by and honking, and even conversations from other rooms late at night. The walls feel like they're made of cheap carton, offering no soundproofing at all. It was impossible to fall asleep, leaving me exhausted, waking up late, and losing most of my workday. If you value peace and quiet, avoid this hotel—it's not worth the stress or frustration.
