Travelers Reviews of Shanghai Hotels

Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao

Hongqiao District
The hotel is conveniently located near Hongqiao Airport and the Hongqiao High-Speed Railway Station, making it easy to travel. It takes only 20 minutes to reach the National Exhibition and Convention Center. The rooms are clean and tidy with complete facilities that are well-maintained. Building No.2 has a good environment, and the rooms are equipped with large bathtubs, which are very suitable for relaxation. In terms of service quality: the front desk service is enthusiastic, the staff are professional, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. There are also many dining options in the vicinity.

Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is seamlessly connected to the T1 terminal building of Hongqiao International Airport. The hotel lobby is connected to the T1 terminal building. It is only a few steps away from the T1 terminal building lobby. The Hongqiao T2 terminal building is 5-6 kilometers away from the hotel. It takes more than ten minutes to get there by Didi. In short, it is very friendly to passengers on the morning and evening flights. The hotel has just opened for more than two months. The decoration is very fashionable. The room has no smell. I booked an aviation view room. Looking through the window, although there is a building under construction like a construction site opposite the room, I can still see the busy planes of T1 airport. There is no noise and I rest very well. The room area is not too big or small, and the bedding is of good quality. The hotel adheres to the concept of environmental protection. The room does not place disposable toiletries. Before checking in, you will ask if you need them. The hair dryer in the room is worthy of praise, which is better than the hair dryer configuration of Hilton in the past. The hotel lobby is on the second floor. The spiral staircase is the design highlight, and the attitude of the staff is very good. Breakfast has radish crisps and the like, which tastes good.

I'm really sorry to give you my first review! The hotel is undoubtedly newly opened, but as a Hilton brand, plus the price of more than 1,200, I think the experience is really bad! 1. When entering the room, the smell of decoration is still very strong. 2. The water coming out of the washbasin in the toilet area is yellow. 3. The bath towels shed severely. Are the new towels not washed after purchase? 4. If you want to use a hair dryer, remind yourself to clean the filter. 5. There are foreign objects on the floor between the shower room and the washbasin, which will prick your feet if you go barefoot. 6. The door is not soundproof and you can hear people talking in the corridor clearly. 7. This is the first time I’ve encountered a hotel in Shanghai that does not include parking fees. The only thing that satisfied me was the topping of the breakfast noodles, which was quite good.

The hotel has just opened so everything is very new and clean. There are almost no people in the pool and breakfast area at the moment, so I could really enjoy to the fullest. Check in stuff provided complimentary breakfast for me and my partner, I’m very thankful for this sweet gesture :) The deluxe room was amazing, very spacious with a nice design, bathroom is spacious as well, with a nice bath tub. Overall a nice stay, will definitely stay there again.

Hotel seems new, facilities are well design and maintained. Staff is polite and accommodating. Food choices are fairly limited, which is challenging due to remote location if you plan a weekend stay with friends. The executive lounge has limited opening hours starts at noon with very limited choices…way below comparable executive lounges …breakfast is in the main restaurant downstairs which is not a great experience on the weekend to say the least… sea view rooms are nice and with some BYO or delivery it can be a good weekend get away…

I originally booked 2 rooms for a parent-child trip with my parents and children, and planned to check in on 9/16. Molly contacted me in advance and added WeChat. As a result, the typhoon disrupted the itinerary, and I bought the Ctrip Select Package. I couldn't modify or cancel it by myself after booking. I tried to contact Molly to reflect whether the check-in date could be adjusted due to special weather. She helped to feedback to the reservation department. Not long after, Ctrip called and assisted in changing the date. This experience was really good. The hotel and Ctrip staff were very flexible👍 Although the check-in day was a weekend, there was a typhoon and heavy rain the day before. There were not many people in the hotel, and most of them were also with their children. The indoor swimming pool and the small beach are downstairs in Building 2. The slide and cute pet park are in the area behind Building 1. If you don't want to spend extra money, dig sand, swim, and slide on the small beach, which is more than enough for the children to discharge. And my children like to watch TV and eat snacks in the hotel room. You need to go to the lobby to get the takeaway food yourself, because the two hotels I stayed in before both had robots delivering food. There is a gap when there is a comparison. I hope it can be upgraded and optimized in the future. The overall experience is good, the scenery is very quiet, and the air is very fresh. I will come again if I have the chance.
