"I arrived at Kakunodate Station in the morning, checked in at the hotel next to the station, left my luggage there, and went sightseeing on foot.
I was told that they would contact me on my mobile phone when my room was ready. My luggage was delivered at 2:30 pm and I was able to enter my room without any problems.
The entrance is unlocked with a PIN code instead of a key.
The guest rooms, converted from storehouses, are unique and wonderful, and the interior of the two-story building is stylish and comfortable. Dinner was at a local restaurant, and breakfast was delivered at the specified time.
The side dishes typical of Akita served in a birch craft box, warm white rice, and miso soup were very delicious.
On the way back, they delivered my luggage to the station again, so I was able to move around without the hassle of carrying my suitcase.

"As luxurious as one can expect. Beautiful place in a secluded natural environment with lavish service and delicious food. The bath are very well prepared and the staff is extremely kind and attentive.
It is a hard ask but it would be nice to have some western options at breakfast. But of course this is a Japanese traditional inn yet these options would feel even more luxurious.
Some of the decoration feels a bit either dated, kitsch or not being harmonious, I think they need a redesign of the furnitures are it looks more like an assemblage than a harmonious selection of decoration and furnitures. It’s a little on the weird side even sometimes!
But the bedding is exceptional. You will have a great sleep at this stay!"

The traffic is convenient, clean, the dining is delicious, the boss is very hospitable, because I don’t know Japanese, the boss is very patient to use the mobile phone to translate Japanese into Chinese and communicate with me, because I have to catch the plane. "The corner hall in autumn is beautiful, and I decided to come here temporarily to check in. Someone recommended this hotel on Xiaohongshu. The room was small, but it was enough. The biggest selling point of this Japanese-style hotel is actually catering. It is very beautiful and exquisite. The companion said that the hotel has no hot springs at the one-star level of Michelin, but it provides free tickets for another free hot spring nearby. It is a pity that you can't soak in the hot spring. The boss is an elderly uncle, friendly and cute, can speak simple English, communication is barrier-free."

"Love the location and the private onsen with lake view, you have option to reserve this by yourself so it’s quite convenient as we have a room for ourselves for 30 minutes to enjoy the onsen and the views. The building is quite old from outside but the room and amenities are quite okay, they provided everything you needed for your stay. We would love to go back for the cherry blossoms"

CcarolienHotel very near the station, not more than 1 minute walking.
Very friendly welcome. Room was spacious and clean. Window could open and let in fresh air.
In the hotel there was a small restaurant for guests with a nice local food menu. Breakfast was simple, but good. Restaurant ladies were very friendly and helpfull.
They keep your luggage if you arrive early.
In kakunodate things close early (in november?) So take care that you arrange your dinner plans in time.

HHUIQIONGThe environment is very good, the villa by the lake. Can sit on the sofa in the room and dare nothing, feel like a vacation. There are sometimes concerts on weekends. I just got together and listened to it. It was pretty good. The music schedule is available on the boss’s Facebook page. You can contact him. The English is pretty good. Breakfast and dinner are so-so, not too full.

The hot spring hotel is relatively old-fashioned, and the rooms are very big. Most Japanese people live there, but few foreigners! But there are Chinese students doing part-time! There is a Guanyin Bodhisattva in the hotel isolation, and it only takes about 5 minutes to walk there! The hotel's dinner and breakfast are both buffets, and the food is mediocre, not much surprise! There is Aeon supermarket only at the bottom of the mountain, so it is best to go to the left supermarket before entering the hotel before going up the mountain!

KKwok wah dannyIt is the first time to soak in a hot spring with strong acid water quality. It feels very special! After soaking, your whole body will feel very slippery, but be careful not to splash it into your eyes, as it will cause eye irritation! There is a Tamagawa Onsen Nature Research Trail near the hotel, where you can see many springs gushing out of the caves. A must-go! But the location is really far away, so it takes a lot of time!

It takes about half an hour to get there by bus at Tinze Lake Station
Arrive at the ”Upper Plateau Hot Spring Station” and get off the bus and walk for about 4 minutes.
The hotel is in the mountains, all the snow is a lot of secret.
The hotel is the kind of traditional Japanese-style hotel, with dinner and breakfast very rich
The room is tatami, which is what is often seen in the Chinese and Japanese dramas, the atmosphere is very good.
The quilt was already simmered at the beginning of entering the room, very warm
The big bath will have a little sulfur smell as soon as you enter, and I heard that it is effective for skin and muscle soreness
The bath has internal and external soup, the external soup is full of snow, it really feels like winter.
The meal is delicious, the environment is comfortable, the staff is kind, I highly recommend it to everyone

DDennis 陈A Hotel that is recovering from the bad snowy weather. Rooms are big but toilet is tiny. The toilet bidet is bigger than the actual toilet bowl. Also the taps in toilet need upgrading to mixer. Buffet Dinner is good. Sashimi is basic salmon mainly. Buffet should not be a fixed menu everyday! For visitors staying longer, this is uninteresting. When I visited from 7-10 April, the outdoor Onsen was MOST UNFORTUNATELY not working!

I have no hot spring coupons anymore, but the store has built a simple shower room by itself, and I still have to go outside the house. It is very dark and inconvenient, and there is no place to put clothes.
