Aiden by Best Western @ Sedona

West Sedona|4.08km from city centre
I stayed at the Andante Inn the last week of September 2022 and I am so happy I decided on this place! It is super convenient, right on 89A only minutes to Uptown Sedona and other great attractions. Not too big and not too small, and the rates are pretty competitive to other places in the area, considering how close it is to the heart of Sedona. There is also everything else you could possibly need nearby right on 89A (restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc.), and considering it's off of a busy street, the hotel is pretty quiet and the grounds are well-kept and peaceful. The staff was very nice, professional, and helpful (Ivan, especially, was pleasure to deal with)! The room itself was so comfortable and charming - I really felt at home for the week I stayed there. Had a WONDERFUL view of the mountains right outside the balcony doors and the room was in PRISTINE shape - clean, modern furniture/fixtures, every type of pillow one could possibly need, and probably one of the cleanest carpets I've ever had during a hotel stay! NO bugs whatsoever which was huge for me, since I've had some bad experiences at other places. The hotel has been recently remodeled, so of course, that factors in. Just a few little things that were different from other hotels I've stayed at: there is not a microwave in each room, but there is a modern one on every floor, so it's still convenient (there is a mini-fridge) and any little extras/amenities you might need, you have to ask for - I needed an iron and ironing board, which was brought to me almost immediately upon request. Also, the A/C unit is kind of high-tech and I had to have someone show me how to use the remote the next morning, as most of the controls are hidden behind the lower panel on the remote (it would help if a little label was attached to it, instructing guests to pull down on it, so they're not struggling in the middle of the night to figure it out when they want to adjust the room temperature/fan speed). Only other thing that would have been a little helpful was a small light on the balcony to be able to see better at night when sitting out there. Overall, I absolutely LOVED this place and this will definitely be my go-to again, next time I'm in Sedona! Supposedly, it might be turned into a Best Western, but I really hope it doesn't and that it gets to keep it's unique charm - and if it does change, then I'm very happy to be able to say that I got to experience it while it was the Andante Inn. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you're not looking for anything too big and crazy or expensive, and that is still modern and comfortable, in a prime location!

First, the positive: 1. The staff was courteous, professional, and helpful. 2. The outdoor area was well above par. The pool was clean with in-pool loungers (4). Safety equipment and signage posted. Multiple cabanas (6?) were available. Large fire pit with plentiful seating. The pool is 5 feet deep at the center. This is not a pool made for swimming laps, but for lounging. 3. Rooms have an outdoor balcony with a table and 2 chairs. 4. Windows have both a blackout screen and a privacy screen. The window is able to be opened for fresh air and is screened. 5. HVAC was in good order and worked perfectly. 6. In room refrigerator was clean and worked well. Microwave, TV, and phone in room. 7. Breakfast area was spacious and breakfast offered multiple options though I did not avail myself of this amenity. Now, the negative: 1. The room itself was much smaller (king bed ) than expected. Room was cramped and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. 2. The bathrooms were recently remodeled, but the aesthetics are problematic. Why would anyone put wood laminate flooring in a bathroom with a walk in shower that has approximately a 2” inch lip and shower curtain in lieu of doors? You take a shower and the floor gets wet...no bueno. 3. There is a $10 per night service fee charged on registration. The fee is for wifi and other services. I don't recall seeing this posted when I reserved the room, but perhaps I overlooked it. I didn't object paying it, but the fee should be transparent. 4. Housekeeping is performed every 3 days and if you need more towels, etc., simply contact the front desk and they will have what you need brought up. Other: I booked the room for 2 nights but opted not to stay the 2nd night.

Star Motel

I booked on Expedia based on the good reviews and when I got there, went into the office and found out that there was no one working at the motel. I had to wait to get a code to check in via email. Waited, waited, went shopping, and finally made a few phone calls and finally got the code. Went back to the motel and checked out the room. It was marginally clean, killed a few bugs but was going to stay anyway. We went out to dinner (location was the only plus about this motel). When we got back from dinner, we could not lock our door. I tried again and again, and could not get it to lock. In addition to the electronic lock not working, there was no lock inside the door as every motel/hotel I've ever stayed in has as a security measure so that a hotel/motel employee would not barge in on you at any moment. As I am a single mom, with 2 daughters, I felt extremely unsafe. This motel is on ground level, and anyone could have come in at any moment. we called the number for the ”virtual front desk” and I was speaking with a woman who said she was in California so she wasn't even sure if she could get someone from maintenance to check out the lock for us. I told her I felt unsafe and asked if we could get a refund and leave. She was actually very pleasant and said that would be okay. She even offered to help me find an other place to stay, and I said I would book something else on Expedia. We took our belongings and left. We had not touched the beds or anything. We did wash our hands in the bathroom, so probably used a hand towel or two. The next morning I received an email saying that they were charging me for the stay because they were able to lock the door. I was not imagining that I could not lock the door!! It was a huge inconvenience to have to leave and get a new room.

Sky Ranch Lodge

Enjoying our 30th anniversary in Sedona we were looking for a place with wow factor views and this place nails it. You must get a rim view room when staying here. Amazing views! A special thank you to Hannah for providing excellent driving to get us down and back safely from the uptown area. There is great hiking close by and the Mesa Grill down the street is yummy for breakfast too!
Poco Diablo Resort
3.9/5100 Reviews
The Poco Diablo hotel is located several miles outside of Sedona. It has most amenities to keep you busy for your stay- a network of hiking trails 1//4 mile from the property, golf course, swimming pool, tennis court and laundry room. The hotel is connected by a shuttle from Phoenix and the Verde Valley shuttle takes you from the hotel to Sedona and other areas of interest. Because the hotel is located away from Sedona you have the opportunity to do star gazing at night. The rooms are spacious. I especially liked the bathroom as there were two sinks- one in the wash area and one outside. Manager Phil and concierge William were easy to talk too and very pleasant. They provided answers to our questions. The hotel still follows Covid-19 protocols so staff had limited contact with guests. Housekeeping is limited to changing towels and picking up trash. I did not give this hotel 5 stars as they do not have a gift or sundry shop. The Willow restaurant at the hotel is open only for dinner. They have no breakfast or lunch options. We went to Safeway to stock up on breakfast supplies. Buy snacks and drinks for your stay at the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Hilton Vacation Club Sedona Summit

I understand Hilton recently bought this property. It definitely doesn’t have a “Hilton” vibe to it as it is very average looking. The rooms definitely need a renovation….the kitchen and bathroom are dated, the TV is tiny, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking accessories. There are several pools, but some are fairly small. We had a nice private hot tub behind our unit and never saw anyone. Our unit was close to the highway, so you can hear cars when outside, etc. Overall, it is OK, but not up to Hilton standards.
Sedona Hilltop Inn
4.4/5101 Reviews
This Inn was such a pleasant surprise! I planned our Sedona trip later than I usually put plans together, so the room type I asked for was not available when I made the reservation. At check-in, the Manager upgraded our room & we were so comfortable there! Recently renovated, comfortable beds, lovely room, detailed comfort, you could tell someone really thought through all the appointments. It even had a TV channel guide and every room door was screened from the parking lot by its own front porch and also had a cushioned love seat to enjoy the beautiful Sedona Red Rock view. The air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave and mini coffee maker worked great. One of the best things about the Inn was being just next door to the gorgeous Tlaquepaque market.

It is a small villa with all kitchen utensils and utensils. The sofa bed is not good, so it can only be used as a floor. Overall, it is worth staying in. Go to the supermarket to buy some vegetables and make them easily. It is very convenient and worth recommending.
