Se Nova Hotels with Breakfast

During my travels I always choose hotels with pools, as I like to relax in them in the morning and in the afternoon after exploring. That was also the case here in Coimbra. But, shortly after booking that hotel with a pool by Mondego river, I cancelled it when I saw pics of Solar Antigo. I sacrificed the pool and did the right thing. Solar Antigo is an amazing boutique hotel with a luxury touch. It consists of series of rooms in several historical buildings in old Coimbra, on top of the hill, close to the University. Each room is individually designed with amazing attention to details. Every inch of the room is carefully planned and beautiful with stylish furniture. We booked the ordinary room, but got an upgrade for a two level Jacuzzi room (probably God's compensation for that pool). The staff is so kind and welcoming - they waited for us almost until midnight to arrive. They provide free parking by the hotel in that tiny uphill street. Amazing views of Coimbra from your window. Breakfast is served in a basket and delivered to your room in the morning. You have 2 TVs, AC, bathrobe, coffee machine and a refrigerator with complimentary cooled bottle of champagne and couple of beers - unbelievable and unseen for a price of around 70 Euros a night for two people. The only problem is finding this jewel, specially at night when we arrived. But once there, all Coimbra attractions are in a very close walking distance. I must emphasize in terms of quality/price/location, Solar Antigo is one of the best hotels I've stayed in my 30 years of travel being in 500+ hotels in over 80 countries on all continents.

We have booked many months earlier on ********, we have a really super price. Good 4-star hotel at the foot of the high city of Coimbra, but not more than 10 minutes walk from the university. Good car parking possibility. A pleasant structure with functional room and good bathroom and shower. Smiling staff and available. Good breakfast for category. Excellent comfort in bed. Small ...View the hotel category ...se the breakfast time is at 7......deve being at 7 .. I don't like that and I miss this and that and the employee is making the cleaning or other ....va well .. Maybe for lower categories but not from a 4-star hotel and a good reputation !
