Travelodge Scotch Corner A1 Southbound

Great location for a quick stop off on route south. Traveled from Glasgow heading south and this was a good area to stop, Tesla charging point in the nearby Holiday Inn which was ideal, but was triple the price to stay at so Travelodge is great budget option. No restaurant or bar which is why this doesn’t get 5 star for me but the place was clean, bed comfy and staff excellent. Also have services for some fast food options if required. Shout out to Olivia who went out her way to help me in the morning.

Staff polite and pleasant when arrived. Room comfortable and clean however minor issue with positioning of toilet in bathroom as was bit close to wall causing discomfort when using. Cheap nasty coffee on offer in room tea was twinning everyday which is fair for those who like tea. No eatables on offer. But apparent for these some may say minor issues the room was nice and comfortable for a nights sleep. Breakfast on offer did not sound good for the price per person. So ended up going to Greggs for much better morning breakfast with better choices and much better coffee.plus better prices.

Firstly Young girl on reception, Sian, was incredible. Helped us with everything from, arranging taxis, advising on places to eat (shoulder of mutton) and organising limited mobility room from our parents. Excellent service. Secondly Rooms are fine, basic but warm, clean and comfy bed. In room kettle with tea and coffee. Three Handy food places next door, burger king, KFC, M&S, Costa, Greggs and WHSmiths. Thankyou. Like sleeping on the inside lane of the A1 services are busy but that’s not the problem how on earth could anyone sleep ? Ok knew where it was when booked but didn’t realise it was that close and was impossible to sleep. Was told we don’t book in till 3.00pm ok but kept people until 3.20 before she turned up.

Perfect position driving from Glasgow to Kent. There's no lift and two floors. However if advised in advance the staff there will make sure yo are allocated a ground floor room. No walk in showers but our bathroom looked newly renovated and the shower was good. Reception check in very friendly and welcoming.

I stay here as a overnight pot stop on my way to the highlands, arrived about 9pm with a warm welcome and off to the room , romms were clean and didn't smell everything looked good , I will say 1 thing if you going to leave coffee in a room where 2 people are staying more then 1 coffee and 1 tea bags would have been nice also more than 3 packs of suger , I know I could ask for more but it was late I was tied and wanted my bed, this leads me to my biggest issue the pillows and matteress were rock hard no give in them at all it was like sleeping on the floor, I woke up 3/4 time during the night as I was so uncomfortable, I played 90+ each room and I had 3 and all the mattress were the same so the rest of the family said. Very disappointed if I was staying there more then 1 night I would have said something
