We chose this hotel for an overnight stop when visiting the area. Good location and good facilities. There was was ample parking on the Saturday that we stayed, but you have to make sure you register your car at reception. This is free and there’s plenty of reminders. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. We tried the restaurant which had an Italian menu, the food was very nice. The room was a reasonable size and quiet overnight. The one negative point would be the tv system was very basic, most hotels have access to online streaming services and our room just had a basic tv access. We weren’t able to try the gym as it didn’t open until 8:00 on a Sunday.

Excellent hotel in Yorkshire for a peaceful friendly stay. Fabulous catering , will use again.

One of the friendliness hotel inns ever ! we stay often at this hotel as my husbands family live close by. The staff here can’t do enough for you and it’s nice to be recognised each visit gives it a personal touch nothing is to much trouble such a warm abs friendly atmosphere every time we go .Hotel is kept immaculate shops close by on site to a perfect location ! Our first stay in Richmond and whilst the King's Head had it's faults we liked it and would return. The hotel could not be better located on the market place in the centre of Richmond, and building itself is a splendid mix of traditional with a more contemporary bar and restaurant area. Our room was a standard double which was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Any failings could be put down to the historic nature of the building, and therefore forgiven. Service for breakfast was on the tardy side of relaxed, but when it arrived the food was very nice, this was also the case for dinner but here one of our main courses left a little to be be desired on the taste front.

Good morning, I would like to offer some feedback on our recent stay in your hotel. Firstly the staff are all friendly, efficient and helpful and the food has been lovely. We ate in the bar on Friday evening and have had breakfast for two mornings. However, we were firstly disappointed to learn that the spa is closed for refurbishment. This was one of the reasons we booked this hotel, to give us a chance to relax and unwind as a couple in the spa. When I enquired about the spa times at reception, I was told the spa is closed and it was on the website. I don’t know when this information was added to the website but we were not aware of this when we booked our room. Our room, room 20. There just is not attention to detail. The room is tired. There are damaged and stained areas on the carpet. The divan on the bed is grubby and on show. Lightbulbs need replacing, windows cannot be opened without jamming a towel in to hold them open, the blind in the bathroom is frayed, filthy, the cord is filthy and the workings at the top look like they may fall apart at any point. This is disconcerting as when using the bathroom, we were in full view of those on the car park. The bathroom door does not close shut properly and the lock needs attention. Our servicing of the room involved fresh towels left on the bed. The bed was not made. This is a lovely old building and we both appreciate that this brings its quirks however, our room needs some attention to bring it up to an expected standard for paying guests. We are disappointed with our stay and I wanted to feed this back to you. Thank you Sent this review 4 days ago-no response as yet. However reading the reviews I’m not expecting a response. I think we had a lucky escape that the spa was closed reading all of these reviews!!!

Stayed at Redworth Hall in February 2023 (2 adults & 1 age 13 years). Stayed in a family room on the £160 Winter special which included meals and leisure facilities access. Our room was absolutely fantastic and the perfect family room with a dividing wall separating the two sleeping areas. Pool was busy between 4pm 6pm but still a great experience and I managed to get a nice quiet swim at 7:30am (towels provided). Everywhere was very clean. We didn’t fancy the restaurant and thus took our restaurant’allowance in the bar - which worked for us. The kids menu wasn’t really ideal for a 13 nearly 14 year old but the adult allowance easily covered three meals from the adult bar menu. Great half term winter break. Recommended.
