JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District

For a five-star hotel, the cleanliness of our room and hotel service was terrible. As we checked in, we noticed the shampoo and conditioner were half-full from the previous guests. There were crumbs in multiple corners and areas of the room, and even a mini heap of trash in the corner behind the curtains. Housecleaning never changed the bedsheets until we requested them. The bottom drawer where the TV was located was broken. Not worth it at all. This was our first and last time at JW Marriott.

Fantastic stay! Four nights with a family of four. Safe, clean, beautiful property on the river. Courtney (I think, from Chicago) at check in was great, everyone hustling, zero complaints from a family that is hard to please. Thanks for the memories!

Amazing hotel with very cool decor and shops inside. You're right in the Savannah river and our room had a great view of the water. The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating. You're also extremely close to hundreds of restaurants, bars and shops.

Everything was great from start to finish. Being greeted with a nice refreshing beverage at check in to the extremely clean rooms and comfortable beds..the area is very convenient to everything.I will definitely be staying again.

The hotel is interesting and beautiful and the Marriott staff are just the best. From the dinosaur sculpture to the many dining experiences along the river my wife and I enjoyed one of the best vacation experiences thanks to the Marriott staff and this wonderful hotel in Savannah.

This hotel was in a nice location- quieter and right on the river. There were several unpleasant issues though…I had requested early check in, arrived one hour early and stood in a very long line, watching multiple people get checked in early, and then was told our room would be ready shortly…we waited in the lobby 20 mins and then the n the long line for our keys again. Then we were told there is a $36 fee each day that will be reimbursed when you eat at one of their restaurants…I had reservations and plans to eat other places. We didn’t want to eat there! We didn’t want to lose the $72, so we cancelled our plans to eat at one of their restaurants. I have a food allergy and explained this, asking if a particular salad would be safe. It was brought out and I questioned again that it looked like it could have my allergen in it. The waiter rushed back saying it wasn’t safe for me to eat after all! They then brought a salad with rotten strawberries on it and brown lettuce…while the manager was kind, it was an awful experience. Especially since we didn’t want to eat there in the first place. This is a horrible policy, we will never come back.
